"The hotel looks extremely old and the staff is unfriendly. The room was large and clean, though, just bizarrely old. It was scorching hot throughout the entire hotel, and it is bizarre that not all rooms have air conditioning as standard. Apparently, only the “luxury” rooms have that. We had a luxury room, but with a bathtub. The food was good but nothing special. Incidentally, the waiter was very nice. The receptionist was not exactly helpful and indicated that we were the first ones to come downstairs and complain about the heat."

"Hotel rooms above the restaurant and function rooms. Downstairs, the terrace was full and the carnival association was busy practicing. We didn't notice any of that on the 2nd floor. Narrow stairs up, but there is also an elevator. The room was clean, very simple. The shower cubicle had doors that didn't close quite right. Otherwise, the room was very small, but okay for one night. Breakfast was fine. I do think the price is on the high side for the simplicity of the room."

"I booked a deluxe room because the air conditioning didn't work. It was 26.7 degrees Celsius in the room. I couldn't sleep because of it. Way too hot. There was a fan, and of course they knew the air conditioning wasn't working. (I've never experienced a fan in a hotel room with air conditioning.) And there was no sign anywhere that the air conditioning wasn't working. The reception couldn't help me. They didn't even have another room available. Instead of a relaxing start to a tour, I barely slept a night because of the heat."
