The room, as always, was clean and comfortable, with fresh bedding ensuring a great night's sleep. The facilities are well-maintained, showing the hotel's dedication to its operations. The breakfast was still plentiful, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that both the taste and variety have improved since my last visit."

"I was assigned a small room at the back, which I was told was the last room left, due to an event that night. I complained at reception, having been unable to find the details of my reservation online. They could not help! I was told that I requested a quiet room, which it true. BUT, I also request an airport shuttle 2x and got not reply. Most critically, the room had a very bad smell & after my second trip downstairs on a busy night due to the wedding I explained that I refused to sleep there. I had left opposite facing windows open for 10 mins to air, without improvement. FInally, 2 cleaners were sent & one explained that a wall had just been painted! I complained again & finally they discovered another room! 40 mins after check-in, I moved my luggage to the new room (no offer to help). Bad service at Esplender hotel."

"A very nice hotel in a residential area near two beaches. There's a large shopping center nearby where you can exchange money at a favorable rate. There are also many restaurants. The hotel has a small pool and a rooftop veranda, and parrots live in the nearby trees. Grab a bottle of wine and relax! The photo shows the beach next to the hotel."

"Very dirty hotel, the photos do not reflect the reality of the hotel, the rooms lack maintenance with dirty and moldy sheets. Breakfast was another disappointment, with only a few options and no fruit. When we arrived we thought about looking for another hotel, but losing $660 for 3 nights is not easy. It has enormous potential, but it needs to be managed by professionals or acquired by a network. Don't waste your money on this hotel, there are other much better options in Montevideo for the same price (Sofitel, Montevideo...)."
