"Good gym, breakfast was varried and delicious. Nearer to the panaroma route. Room floors were dirty, had to clean the floor with the bathroom mat. Not walking distance to hoedspruit proper, will require a paid shuttle. Would have prefer if a free shuttle can be provided by the hotel. Not ideal for visits to kruger national park as it is approx 2 hours to the park. Overall, would recommend as a overnight stop after visiting the panaroma route."

"From the moment we were met at the airport by Nyati staff we felt safe and well cared for. The arrival at the lodge was seamless and we were greeted by the manager who went over the details of our stay. Our villa was amazing and we experienced two elephants near our pool on the first day. Each day the safari was fun and exciting and the guides were very knowledgeable and friendly. The number of animals we saw each day was incredible. The food was excellent and each night the chef presented the dinner and the manager presented the South African wine. We could not have asked for a better experience for our first trip to Africa."

"We have just left a 4 night stay at Karongwe River Lodge residing in one of the two Presidential Suites. Everything was outstanding - the accommodation, food, service, attention to detail but most importantly the game drives!! Our driver and tracker were incredible, doing everything in their power to ensure that we saw every possible animal safely and in comfort. We spent 2 hours tracking lions and found a whole beautiful pride. It was so exciting and fun! We saw the big 5 and so many others and felt so lucky. I have not been to other game reserves but could not recommend this one highly enough. The lodge and facilities are beautiful as is the whole reserve."

Am Lodge - Hoedspruit
"I have not left a review for anything in a long time, but AM Lodge absolutley deserves a great review. I read a couple of previous reviews that made me hesitant, but the record needs to be set straight. I stayed Mar 14 - March 16 of 2025 and it could not have been a better experience. I was first greeted at checkin by Raydene, Chris, and Musa. They had a non alcoholic mixed drink ready and waiting for me, a hot towel, and Raydene began explaining the structure of the lodge. They honestly made me feel like roylaty, and I had never felt that before. Raydedne broke everything down and answered every question I had, even the stuff I had texted about before arrival. I later met Brandon, the chef of the lodge. Every meal he prepared was like it was hand made at a luxury 5-star restaurant. I honetly could not have asked for better food, and he even adjusts the menu based on pretty much anything you want. Later in the afternoon, it was time for my game drive. Chris walked me to my private lodge and from that moment on, was immediately available for anything I needed. The lodge itseld was a massive 1,615 sq ft building and I had it all to myself. It is so secluded and private that you are entirely in personal peace whether you are inside or outside of your building. I got a private game drive with driver Benjamin and our tracker Bali. They asked what animals I wanted to see, so I told them rhinos and lions. Within minutes, I was looking at lions and rhinos. Thye definitley knew how to track the right animals. Same thing with each follow on game drive, they took no time at all to find exactly what I wanted to see and taught me so much I had not know about the dynamic of the animal kingdom I was visiting. Back at the lodge, I had zebra and imapala walk up right outside my window as they were foraging and throughout the night, you can listen to the sounds of the animals and nature in their natural habitat. I could go on and on but to wrap it up, I would absolutley stay here again. If there is one thing that could be improved, I'd say the outdoor furniture could use updating. It was looking rather beaten and worn out. Next time, I would upgrade to the superior suite for my own private swimming pool."

"The location is breathtaking with stunning views of the canon. The atmosphere was magical, so peaceful. The rooms are beautiful, again with stunning views of the canon and the best views from the bath! It is excellent value for money, including views, comfort and breakfast! Cleanliness was 100%, rooms and communical areas, such as the pool and dining area was clean and tidy. Everyone working at umvangati house were friendly and couldn't do enough for you. The noise level was low, very quiet and a great place to relax. The food was amazing and everything we ate was delicious! Especially the gluten free options, I had a chocolate lava cake one evening and it was the best gluten free pudding I have ever eaten! We honestly had the best 3 nights here before heading home and I would 100% recommend!"

"After four days of self drive safari in Kruger we wanted a few days to relax and recuperate before heading back into the park, and Muunga was the perfect choice! Jenny and Ruan are super friendly and welcoming hosts and really make you feel at home. The rooms and lodge are very stylish and immaculately clean... we'd love to have them decorate our home... and you can tell the passion and care that has gone into in every little detail. The location is wonderful, set in the wildlife estate and surrounded by nature, it's very peaceful and a little slice of paradise. The rooms are wonderfully appointed and very comfortable, with your own private space. We felt they offer excellent value for money. The atmosphere is very relaxed and friendly and we could happily chat with Ruan about safari and nature all day! We ate out one night at a fabulous local restaurant, then had a fantastic meal at the lodge the second night. We can't wait to come back again."

"Our stay at gem in the bush was amazing. The place is isolated, at the very centre of a bush estate. It was just breathtaking waking up to the sweet melody of birds. However, our highlight was literally witnessing giraffes fighting😂😂😂😂. The room was amazing and clean, the outdoor shower was everything 🥹🥹🥹 the breakfast was delicious. The pool was good. The service by the staff was amazing. "

The property could benefit from some general maintenance and a few updates in places, but nothing that took away from the overall experience. With a bit of attention to these small details, it would be exceptional. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend Unembeza to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway with great food and hospitality. "
