Location very good for CBD and SCA. Reasonably priced. R1800 per night per room, breakfast an extra R215 pp."

"A very nice place, tranquil and cozy. The food was amazing, I've been there a couple mornings already for breakfast. Highly recommended. The people are very friendly and welcoming, which just adds to the beauty of the environment. There are nice little shops as well, my favourite being the osem shop. Wide variety of nuts, seeds, flours, organic veggies and much more. Definitely worth seeing and experiencing."

"Never book with Agoda travel Agents NEVER. We booked at this guesthouse while traveling thru Agoda, the guesthouse replied immediatly that they are fully booked, Agoda ignored the email, and still debit the amount from bank card, we arrived just to find out they fully booked, we were stranded and had to drive in the middle of the night to our next destination. Since the 28 of March 2026 we try to get a refund from Agoda with no luck. I went on facebook and there are litteraly 100 and 100 of people that lost money to Agoda due to this bad service. So please dont make the same mistake and loose money to Agoda scammers. Booking never took place because fulle booked, but i paid for it. Invoice attached"

"In short, the room we booked using a platform ended up looking nothing like it had been shown on the website. The two bedroom family suite, was a converted garage with a double bed, a bunk bed, a divider between the room housing these & the bathroom. And a TV above the kitchen sink which meant you could not even wash your coffee cup in the morning. The explanation from the manager was that the platform must have made a mistake, as that which was advertised was the family suite luxury & that which we booked was the family suite. "

"I spent a night at this hotel with some family. I have mixed feelings about it. The rooms were clean and good, with a nice bathroom. The interior of the hotel is pretty. The rooftop bar and dining room are good settings. However, my dissatisfaction arose during the meals. The drinks took a while to arrive once we ordered even though the place wasn’t busy. This was confusing since the drinks we ordered wouldn’t take a long time to prepare (e.g. a can of soft drink or a beer). During the meals, we found that we couldn’t order certain things on the menu because the kitchen didn’t have enough stock of it left. We only found this out after ordering and had to take another look at the menu."

The owner contacted us early, on arrival day to ensure we know where the premises is and how to gain access. In my opinion this was amazing as I always find that I have to contact accommodations to confirm and ask questions- at Finch & Fern this was not needed as the owner is so productive and made contact first. To say I was impressed with the service, communication and accommodation is an understatement. Thank you owners of Finch & Fern Guesthouse, you made our trip easier. "

"The accommodation was appalling with towel rails that fell off the wall, doors that did not fit the frame and curtains and blinds which promptly fell off the wall when you attempted to close them. Blankets were provided but they have the addition of baby cockroaches. While the breakfast was sort of adequate there was a distinct lack of cutlery and if you wanted a teaspoon,dessert spoon or fork you had to ask for an individual one which was somewhat annoying when you were in a group of 82 people. Feel a bit bad saying this because the staff were pleasant and clearly doing their best in what must be a very miserable working environment"
