"These rooms are very small. There isn’t room to open up and your suitcase open. However it was very clean and the employees couldn’t be more helpful and friendly. The only amenity is a bar of soap. No shampoo, toiletries, or hair dryer. The bathroom could use somewhere to put shaving and/or cosmetic bags. The tv stations are very limited. You can walk about 1 km or a short drive to restaurants and the local pub."

"It was a comfortable room, in a good spot. Check-in is collect your own key from a lock box, which was fine. What was missing compared with similar places was a mini kitchen and sink (I didn't need it, just pointing out my Weka studio did not have one. I expect some others did)? I also missed not having a desk and the one chair was hard and wooden. There were outside chairs but no table for a drink or whatever. Overall it was fine."

"The lodge is the perfect mountain chalet. It has a choice of rooms, a big open lounge room with a gorgeous open fire. Philip our host was so friendly and welcoming and gave us a beautiful breakfast. We highly recommend a stay at Murchison Lodge, but extend your stay and take a couple of days to explore the area, we wish we had."
