"This hotel is perfect for a group or family for a couple of nights. The building itself is beautiful and charming, as many of the other reviews state. The hotel and amenities are basic, with simple rooms and spartan restaurant / breakfast buffet. We used the shared bathroom and shower on our floor; very clean and well looked after. In fact it's all that we needed. The hotel is loud in the evenings as groups return from their daily adventures; disposable ear plugs are provided for this inevitability. The location is ideally situated in the middle of town and centred between the gondolas and the train station."

"In order to check in the small towns around Interlaken, this time I chose the town of Murren as the foothold of the Schilthorn Peak. After choosing for a long time on Ctrip, I still chose the newly opened Palace Hotel with relatively complete facilities. Facilities: It is equivalent to the five-star standard at the top of the mountain. There are a series of supporting facilities such as the city swimming pool, fitness center, banquet hall, etc. It took a long time to find the swimming pool, and I mistakenly entered the entrance of the sports club. In fact, the hotel has a special passage and changing room, as well as shower facilities. The room is relatively large for Switzerland, but there is a diagonal beam in the middle that affects the perception and walking space. The dry and wet areas are too far apart, which is actually not very convenient when using. The wet area also lacks wastepaper baskets and other items that affect use. Hygiene: The public areas and rooms are very clean, mainly because it has just opened not long ago, and the smell of new decoration in the corridor is still relatively strong. There are still signs of unfinished renovation on the outside, especially there is garbage on the ground, and it will be muddy on rainy days. Environment: Needless to say, facing the snow-capped mountains and cliffs, the weather was just average on the day we checked in, so it affected the whole experience. Service: The central heating was turned off in May, but it was only five or six degrees on the mountain, very cold, shivering in the room, there was no partition in the shower area, so it would be cold to take a shower. There was no electric kettle, so we had to rely on the Delonghi coffee machine to boil water, but the one in our room was also broken. In general, the room price of around 3,000 is understandable for a small town on the top of the mountain, but the facilities could be better."

"A home away from home in the Swiss Alps – simply exceptional! This was yet another stay at the Hotel Eiger, and it truly gets better every single time we visit. One of the things that makes this hotel so special is the warmth of the returning staff – seeing familiar faces like Suzanne, Adrian, Corinne, Carla and Linda (to name but a few) year after year makes you feel like part of the family. We were lucky enough to stay in a Unique Suite with breathtaking views of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau, and were welcomed with a lovely bottle of fizz on arrival – a wonderful touch that set the tone for the whole stay. The dining options are excellent and varied. Whether you choose the cosy Stübli, the lovely scenic dining room or the relaxed Tächi Bar, the food never disappoints. The bar staff deserve a special mention – incredibly friendly and impressively knowledgeable about local drinks and Alpine specialities. The leisure facilities are a real highlight too. The pool, sauna, gym and relaxation room are all fantastic, and the relaxation room in particular is a tranquil haven with a truly stunning mountain view. We can’t recommend Hotel Eiger highly enough and are already looking forward to our next visit, which we’ve already booked!"

"If you’re a fan of older buildings with character and experiences you’ll remember, book here. If you can’t wrap your head around shared hallway toilets and showers, this is not a spot for you. Our family of 4 had a great room to accommodate us all which was pretty unusual in Europe. The corner room had a majestic view and outdoor balcony as well as sinks in the room. The included breakfast was wonderful, as was breakfast service - kitchen staff were proud of their food and it was delicious! There’s a lending library, pool access in town, foosball, a library, and full meal service should you want to eat there. Did I mention incredible views?"

"I've come back to the Eiger Hotel this year 20 years after my last time. I had wonderful memories from the past and am happy to report that this most recent stay has been even better. The hotel has great facilities (indoor swimming pool, sauna, a small gym, massage and relaxing areas), very nice rooms (I've stayed in a junior suite, very ample and well equipped) and the restaurant service is excellent. Great buffet breakfast and 4-course dinner. The staff is very friendly and makes its best effort to make the guests experience memorable. The facility combines tradition with the more recent technologies. I will definitely come back."

"Two advantages: cleanliness and convenient location. The whole town is small, there are no inconvenient hotels, but this one is right at the foot of the cable car. If you ski in winter, it should be considered a ski in & out hotel. Other than that, it is really just like a university dormitory, with very small single beds, just like a student dormitory. The breakfast is also very simple and the quality is very average, there is no one to serve, and there are still a lot of flies in the summer. Sometimes there is someone at the front desk and sometimes there is no one, so there is no service. The Alps are very beautiful, full of wild flowers in the summer, and it is worth a visit. But this hotel is really average, especially for a hotel that costs nearly 2,000 RMB a night."
