Mirage Hotel

Mirage Hotel ★★★

📍 South Beach Area, Nessebar

"I was informed by Trip.com that the Mirage Hotel I had booked would be closed, so they offered to change my reservation to a nearby hotel. Their communication and handling of the situation was excellent, and I was able to stay at the hotel without any problems, which was great."

Festa Panorama Hotel

Festa Panorama Hotel ★★★★

📍 Nov Grad, ul. "Han Krum" 40, Nessebar

"We’ve been to Bulgaria twice before staying at a different hotel but opted for a change this year. The hotel is close to the airport which is always a plus when travelling with family. It’s located a few minutes walk from the beach and a short walk from the historic old town or a short bus ride (well worth a visit). Inside the hotel everything was super clean and the staff friendly. I’ve seen some negative posts about the animation team but that wasn’t our experience. We found both Alex and Artem to be super friendly and encouraging without being pushy. My youngest loved them both and followed them around and not once did they complain or moan and always welcomed her which was lovely. I thought they both were a credit to the hotel and without them my rating would have been lower - thank you guys from us all and will always remember the fun of those darts games. Negatives for me were around the food, compared to other hotels we found the food to be quite limited and not really varied. My two children both have food allergies and although there were some signs up the options for them both was extremely limited to basically beige food. The deserts were very repetitive and boring after a day or two and for my children we had to get them pudding outside of the hotel as none of the options catered for their allergies. We had even contacted the hotel in advance of our visit to enquire about allergies but didn’t receive a response. Overall a pleasant stay but personally wouldn’t go back and would prefer to pay a bit extra and stay at Sol Palace up the road which offers so much more variety in all aspects."

Italia Hotel

Italia Hotel ★★★

📍 Tsentar, Sv.Kiril I Metodii Str 19, Nessebar

"A wonderful, quiet and cosy hotel. You’re given a very warm welcome, as if you were special guests. The rooms are clean. Chris, the owner, is very friendly and attentive. He’s always there to help if you need it and happy to offer advice or recommendations. We were very pleased with the hotel. The location is also convenient. The most popular little restaurants and a grocery shop are nearby. It’s not far to the beach or the Old Town either. The breakfasts at the hotel are homemade and delicious. We’ll definitely be back there again someday :)"

Family Hotel Evridika ★★★

📍 Aureliya, ul. "Aurelia" № 40, Nessebar

"We stayed there one night. It was lovely. Large room. Comfortable bed. Nice side terrace where we could see the sea and eat outside. Yes, we could see the neighbors from the hotel next door, but it wasn't a big deal. The beach is a 2-minute walk away, which is fantastic. Friendly welcome (note that they only speak Bulgarian). Old Nessebar is easily accessible by car."

"Great hotel, lovely big apartments. Staff very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Beach very close and private. Would definitely recommend."

Hotel Marina Palace, Affiliated by Meliá

Hotel Marina Palace, Affiliated by Meliá ★★★★

📍 Tsentar, ul. "Ivan Vazov" 7, Nessebar

"A very modern and clean hotel. Unfortunately we booked through Tui booking a Deluxe twin room with balcony. Yes it was deluxe and we did have a balcony however this faced the front of the hotel looking out on a car park and the street. The noise of the traffic was horrendous. We asked for a room change and was told by the young man on reception that the hotel was full and therefore no available rooms and also that we had NOT PAID FOR A VIEW. So if booking through Tui make sure it states with a sea view. Overall facilities were very good. The pool freezing cold so few people in it however a short walk down a number of steps (need to be fit) did lead to a small cove excellent for swimming in the sea. Food was what is expected of a good quality AI hotel. A lot of focus on meat so If vegetarian choice not as good. Regardless of the issues we had a lovely relaxing holiday and would recommend this hotel and its location."

Mirage Hotel ★★★
"We were a little apprehensive before we flew out due to the negative reviews on here. However, absolutely no reason to have been! We are still here now and having a lovely time. Hotel is exactly as you see in the pictures. If you feel that it looks dated and the colour scheme doesn't suit then don't book. Rooms are bright, fresh and cleaned daily and our room had definitely been modernised as fittings and bed fittings felt new. Our cleaner is lovely, friendly and does a thorough job. Fresh towels every day. Yes they are thin but do the job and personally I wouldn't want a big fluffy towel whilst I'm on my summer holiday! Hotel staff are nice but a little reserved. Try saying hello, good morning and thank you to them and they are full of smiles. Breakfast is plentiful. Other reviews have said inedible. I would say that's going a little far. Lots of choice. Fresh fruit, bread, toaster, continental meats and salad, pancakes, fresh honey and yes English breakfast products! Now the English breakfast range is not great but the hotel have tried to cater for everyone. This is not an all English hotel it's multi cultural. I would say the English part of breakfast was the only disappointment in the hotel which is good going really. You would have to be extremely fussy if you can't find something to eat here and that comes from someone who has family members with allergies and even they would find something to eat. Other reviews mention seagulls. OK so Nessebar does have seagulls (surprise surprise - it's by the sea!) But this morning I observed 5 cleaners and a pool man cleaning around and in the pool at 8am. They wash down all the sunbeds with a brush and hose and the floors around the pool area. What more can they do? The seagulls don't fly around you during the day and don't come near the pool until people have gone. Pool area has free and good quality sunbeds and view over the beach. No fighting for sunbeds. Some people were reserving at 8am but really no need. We went down on first day at 10am and got front row overlooking the sea and lots more available around the pool. We had a Seaview room overlooking the pool and had a beautiful view as far as the old town. Comfy double bed, excellent air conditioning and the sound of the sea right outside. Beach right in front of hotel is a long gorgeous sandy beach with loads of sunbeds. Cost 15 euro for 2 beds an umbrella and a table. Payable in cash to sunbed man. Beach is cleaned every night and morning. Tractors sweep the beach in the evening and all sunbeds are put back in place. In the mornings there are beach cleaners who come round and litter pick where needed. Old town is absolutely gorgeous. We walked into the old town along the seafront in about 20 mins. You can also walk via the new town and road if you want. We have walked into old town most nights. Loads of restaurants and bars and good price even seafront restaurants. Local restaurants near the hotel are nice. Almost every day we hav"

"this is a really good hotel clean, nice staff, good food everything was good but! the evening entertainment was shocking not only was it bingo, karaoke more bingo and more karaoke the place they had this was in a small downstairs disco where if the the entertainment was better there would not have had enough room for lots of guests! when weather permitting they have a outside auditorium but still use the inside bar or the disco dungeon even though the pool bar is seconds from this auditorium. why they dont use the covered outside area of the restaurant is a mystery to me!. i would have no hesitation coming back to this hotel if they had a better evening entertainment with some outside acts and singers or groups and actually have it in a more sensible place"

" Instead of lemonade, water with artificially flavored syrup, soups were out, salad was modest with stale tomatoes and a single olive, seafood risotto and pasta with a little seafood, both with completely cold mussels on top and served with a 15 minute delay. At the end waitress asked how much tip we would leave."

"Location - could be described as, "off the beaten track" but suited us. We didn't want to be in a big tourist area like Sunny Beach. Room - beautiful, spacious, fantastic bathroom, great shower, nice view from balcony over the sea/pool area. Breakfast - really good, plenty of choice for all tastes. Restaurant - good value for food and drinks. Basically Bulgaria is very cheap to eat and drink out. We ate at a couple of restaurants in Nessebar. Our favourite with huge variety was White Rose. Bus service - good and cheap. Supermarket - Janet was a good shop for stocking up on snacks and water. Reasonably priced items."

Hotel Marina Palace, Affiliated by Meliá ★★★★
"This hotel is in a great location - very peaceful and with a cute beach down the path at the bottom. Easy walking into Old Town and south Sunny Beach (not so peaceful! 😁) the shopping area is old fashioned but we liked that. The reception staff had good English and were very pleasant - esp Manilo (spelling?) The wait staff had two good managers but our plates were often removed before we’d finished 😆 the food itself was plentiful and varied - 3*~4* quality. Rooms clean and modern and well serviced (thanks Raluka) The building itself is a bit tired in places but very unusual overall with its tube lifts and rooftop pool (small and chilly) Very special mention to the entertainment staff Vali & Mateos - they tried so hard to get guests involved with activities, we do not usually join in but they were so pleasant, happy and enthusiastic that we did! For such a young couple their attitude is amazing. A credit to the hotel doing a very difficult job! Overall, Nessebar Bulgaria is fantastic 🎉🎉🎉"
