Travelodge Barnstaple Hotel
"Stayed with family for a weekend trip away. It was a simple place to find and the staff were exceptionally well trained, especially Rhys, who kindly provided us with extra tea bags, milk, and recommendations for places to eat around the local area. We could not be more grateful and are already looking to book again for Christmas time."

The Barnstaple Hotel
"Quite a basic and functional room. Opens to outdoor area. Has indoor and outdoor pools and a fitness room/gym. Amazingly powerful shower and clean high spec hotel common areas. A solid 3 star hotel with free parking as a bonus for this area."
The Harbour Lights
The Imperial Hotel
"This was truly one of the most unforgettable birthday experiences I’ve ever had! From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was beyond anything I expected. The staff went out of their way to make the day feel extra special, and I was genuinely moved by their kindness. The room was stunning, the vibe was just right, and every facility added to the comfort of our stay. A big thank you to the lovely lady at reception, her warm welcome and constant support throughout made all the difference. It was a birthday I’ll always remember!"
Kentisbury Grange
"I’ve been fortunate enough to be well travelled and stayed in hundreds of hotels but this one is one of the best. The little details make this place so special. The accommodation was of exceptional quality with a massive bathroom, the room was spacious but so cosy I was asleep by 9.30! The food was delicious, the quality was outstanding and so lovely to see the chef taking real pride in what he does. The service was amazing, the waitresses and management were so accommodating and went above and beyond for us. This is the best value for a hotel, we hope to be back v soon!!"

Avoncourt Lodge
"Excellent b&b just 5 mins from the heart of Ilfracombe, which is certainly value for money. Alison and Heather were very efficient and friendly. The whole place was relaxing and enjoyable. Johns cooked breakfasts were a marvellous start the day . Thank you Martin and Sara Pepper."
Moorlands
".The hotel is beautifully clean and sparkling. The proprietors Deisy and Mark are friendly and welcoming. The towels are fluffy and spotless, the beds are comfortable and warm. The breakfast is delicious with plenty of choice served at tables with linen table clothes and serviettes. Little touches like a pot of local marmalade enhance the experience."
The George Inn
"We had a smashing stay overnight and the staff were so so friendly and helpful on arrival and at breakfast. The room was spotless and bed very comfy .for the cost of the stay we would rate this one of the best places we stayed whilst visiting family"
Cairn House
"Cairn House was a really lovely place to stay in Ilfracombe. We had a couple of nights here and the highlights were the breakfasts, free parking, and the friendliness and warmth of the owners. I’d highly recommend Cairn House. LOCATION: Cairn House was an excellent base for accessing the South West Coastal Path and for exploring surrounding areas like Woolacombe. Ilfracombe itself is a large enough seaside resort town that there is quite a bit to do and see here and plenty of choices of restaurants and shops (although disappointingly, the Tunnels Beaches were closed due to rockfalls when we were there). It was an easy walk into the town centre and harbour but it took about 20 - 25 minutes. ROOM & FACILITIES: We had a large room, with tea and coffee making facilities, a couple of comfy lounge chairs and a small coffee table, a desk and a bay window. We were very comfortable. The bathroom was spotlessly clean. BREAKFAST: Breakfast was included and was served each morning in a lovely sunny dining room. This was a delightful start to the day. We had porridge and toast, followed by a full English each morning and we really enjoyed sitting over breakfast, planning the day ahead. PARKING: There is a free, on-site carpark which was a huge plus for us."
Royal Britannia Hotel
"We did not stay at the hotel, just visited the pub. It has two bars and a patio garden overlooking the harbour. Too cold in the evening to sit outside so first we went into the rear bar. Pool table and locals who gave us "the eye", so we tried the front bar. This appears to be the hotel lounge and much more comfortable. The staff were good though the drinkds were at hotel prices. Probably cheaper for the locals in the rear bar."
The Collingdale Guest House
"Great hosts Sharon & Daryl were there to welcome us after a long drive Room was on top floor but a great room with plenty of space and everything was clean and thoughtful additions Great breakfast 😋 and both Sharon & Sue were really friendly and efficient The lounge area and the little bar area were delightful and furnished with beautiful furniture with fabulous views over the sea Shirt walk down to the Harbour and plenty of info provided on where to eat and days out Hope to visit again It was my 60th birthday whilst staying and a surprise card and chocs were left in my room 😊"
The Olive Branch
"Stayed in Room 3 with roll top bath and Harbour View, absolutely stunning, better even than pics. Jo made us feel extremely welcome, the breakfast was really delicious and plentiful. Range of choices, all freshly cooked to order. Having spent just one night here I would happily book again and come stay for longer. Avoid Wednesday in Feb as most restaurants closed."
The Sherborne Lodge
"Looks can be deceptive - but this place is a little gem! Currently here on a last minute 2 night break with hubby and our 2 dogs. Owner Lynne is fabulous - warm, welcoming, loves dogs (and spoils them at breakfast with a sausage!) Room 6 - clean, lovely size, great amenities - TV, kettle, coffee, tea, milk etc, clean towels, hairdryer, even toiletries in the bathroom! Let’s get on the subject of breakfast! Wow - wasn’t expecting so much - Lynne works hard, we had cereal, yoghurt, Fresh fruit, pastries, and a full English! Washed down with Tea and orange juice. Fit to burst after. Great location to walk to harbour or do Torrs path, Lidl in walking distance and Woolacombe approx 15 mins away by car. Lynne has a bar which she allows guests to help themselves, providing they be honest and fill out a form - why someone wouldn’t be honest is beyond me. Will def return!"
Yeo Dale Hotel
"Really nice hotel in the Pilton side of Barnstaple but still within easy walking distance of the town centre. Nice period building. Room was warm, clean and comfortable, and surprisingly quiet. Special mention for the fantastic breakfast and friendly staff. If you are looking for a nice non-chain hotel - this is the one."
