We stayed one night midweek at the family treehouse on route to port, a fantastic find! I was a little apprehensive after reading some of the reviews on here but I needn’t have worried. Site is signposted from a few roads away making it easy to find. On arrival the Owner & his family were welcoming, friendly and spoke good English. The owner explained the way to the accommodation and how everything works… impressed that the treehouse has an eco toilet and electricity for lights and a plug socket too, handy for charging phone overnight. We ate an evening meal and food was beautiful, well presented and fresh, good value for money including the Childrens meals which included ice cream for dessert which looked home made and tasted delicious! Plenty of activities to engage with, table tennis, football table, board games, swimming and jacuzzi. A nice variety of accommodation too, a quiet setting, beautifully kept I can picture weddings here. The Family Treehouse was superb, a memorable family adventure!! I would definitely stay here again and would recommend particularly for its proximity to the port as an overnight either on arrival or before departure, it took 35 minutes to reach the ferry with a little traffic. The only regret for me is not staying a second night to enjoy this place more (would have loved to pull up breakfast on the rope but we had to leave early to make the ferry).
