Pana Hotel

Pana Hotel

📍 Miymandos №2, Nukus
★★★ 9.1 (21 reviews)

"Very odd place, I seemed to be the only person staying so there was no breakfast buffet ( although the staff offered to make eggs), no restaurant at night or an open bar plus all payments had to be in cash. Obviously something was going on and probably best to avoid"

Ratmina Hotel

Ratmina Hotel

📍 Ulitsa Paulaniyazova 4, Nukus
★★★ 8.4 (13 reviews)

"An easy option when staying in Nukus."

Karakalpak Palace Hotel

Karakalpak Palace Hotel

📍 114 Prospekt Islam Karimov, Nukus
★★★ 8.2 (14 reviews)

"The man at the reception was really nice and overall the staff was helpful. The breakfast is also worth it, I wouldn’t skip it if I wear you, the middle porridge is my favorite really amazing stay."

Jipek Joli Inn

Jipek Joli Inn

📍 Jipek Joli 4, Nukus
★★★ 8.5 (10 reviews)

"We stayed in Jipek Joli Inn for one night. This hotel was converted from two separate villas, connected by a semi-open courtyard. The room is slightly old-fashioned but clean and comfortable enough for a pleasant stay. The reception staff speak fluent English and efficiently helped us arrange transportation to Mizdakhan and Gyaur Kala. The price was reasonable, and the driver was very accommodating. The location couldn’t be better—just a five-minute walk to the Art Museum, with several mini markets and shops nearby."

Yurta Guest House

📍 Ziyalylar Street 14, Nukus
★★ 8.5 (4 reviews)

"The facilities were clean and the staff were friendly~~^^"

Hostel DANEXAN APA

Hostel DANEXAN APA

📍 Kuk Uzyak, 30/1, Nukus
★★ 9.5 (2 reviews)

"I stayed for two nights, and the hostel itself was quite decent – the room was clean, the breakfast was okay. I also went on an organized tour to Muynak from the hostel. I was originally planning to go there myself, but the weather was so bad that I didn't risk it. In addition to the former shore of the Aral Sea and the ship graveyard, we also visited a typical old cemetery and a camel farm (although almost all the camels had gone for a walk, we did try some salted milk). We didn't get to see the Aral Sea Museum because the wind damaged a power line, and there was no power. I'd especially like to commend the conscientiousness of our guide and hostel employee, Atabek, who then took us to another museum – an ecology museum – but there was no power there either. And although none of this was his fault, of course, as compensation, he took us to one of the Khorezm fortresses (Gyaur Kala Khodjeyli) located near an ancient cemetery, which was also very interesting to explore. Overall, I was very pleased with both my stay at the hostel and the tour."

Pana Hotel ★★★
"Pro. - hotel standard instead of guest house as the majority of accommodations - modern bathroom with fluffy towels (good quality) - helpful and friendly receptionists Con. - the breakfast was a bit lack of choice, too many deep fried and sweet stuff - the room is quite small without much space for luggages"

Karakalpak Palace Hotel ★★★
"A very large spacious room, with working air-con and very friendly people. They happily arranged a daytrip for us to Muynak and Mizdarkhan with little notice and a good price. Nowhere near as touristy as Khiva, the Karakalpak people were shy, much much more authentic and genuinely happy to meet tourists from far away lands (like Canada). So I highly recommend staying a night in Nukus if thinking of exploring the former Aral Sea, the Savitzky Museum or the necropolis. Don't do it from Khiva, it is just too far and too long of a day (but do check out the desert fortresses along the way from Khiva to Nukus, such as Chilpik Dakhma, Gyuar-Kala and Janpik Kala). Nukus is a much quieter city, but there is good restaurants nearby (Palvan Shakh and the Grand Lavash) and you can walk to the museum from here easily (you could even walk to the airport if you wanted)."

"Comfortable inn with great staff. They took care of us in every way. Large clean room with a sitting area. Breakfast offered lots of options. Omelets and fried eggs were made upon request. Good location. Walking distance to restaurants and the museum. The inn is a little dated."
