"We stayed in a lodge. Whilst they are spacious, it is not in a quiet location as you can hear traffic from the A1 24 hours a day, which at night time when trying to sleep is troublesome. Equally, if raining hard, it is not suitably soundproofed. They are basically equipped. Beds are comfy. Clean ish, some cobwebs."

"We returned yet again to Hambleton Hall. The bedrooms are very comfortable, and sitting rooms and dining room are so cosy and beautifully decorated. The staff are friendly and helpful and very efficient. The views are amazing and plenty of towns to visit in the area. The gardens are very well kept and especially lovely in the Summer. The most outstanding aspect though is the food. Every course is amazing, we just love coming here. Thank you all and we hope to return soon!"

"The hotel was clean and the room was excellent. However, the hotel posits itself as a spa hotel and the spa was the worst one i have ever been to. The changing rooms were very basic, there was no hot tub and it had a very budget feel about it. Which given the price of the room you would expect so much more. The restaurant was very nice and the service there was excellent. I wouldn't stay here again only because of the spa and cost of the hotel."

"Christmas for the family. This is the second year we have booked carrot cottage for a Family get together. The cottage is 6 bedded with the most comfortable double bed we've ever slept in and 4 beds in the other room. Accomodation is available in the other smaller cottages so anyone wanting more privacy can stay there. The kitchen has plenty of equipment and all you need for Christmas dinner. A 10 minute walk from the reservoir banks and 5 minutes to the pub, what more could you want?"
