"This place is unique, very different from anywhere else we have stayed and an amazing experience. Beautifullly located right on the western coast of Orust with a lovely garden leading down to the sea, perfect to watch the evening sunset over the bay. Johan and Marcel will make you very welcome and their food is excellent, our room was very comfortable too. We loved it."

"Amazing cozy chic hotel in one of the most beautiful places in Scandinavia! The owners and staff are incredibly welcoming and kind and we had a lovely time. The breakfast was delicious anda well as the galleries and crepes. Highly recommend this beautiful hotel which paired with this amazing island it’s a dream. BTW: The bedding in the hotel is by a local designer and of such wonderful quality that you will want to buy a set of bedding to take home. Finally, I loved swimming in the sea right off the back deck and using their beautiful sauna. I feel recharged and happy after such a wonderful experience in an island with delicious seafood caught locally. Also, such a joy that there are no cars, no bikes . . 🥰"

"Other reviewers have described the atmosphere, the food (the FOOD! Mmmm!), the place itself and the glorious surroundings; they’ve commented on the wonderful hosts Johan and Marcel, and the lovely experience of sharing meals with people from around the world. I can only agree. Ladfabriken is a unique and special experience. I’m sure everyone feels the same, but we came as strangers and left like friends. There aren’t enough positive adjectives to describe this couple and this guest house. Just go, with an open heart and a curious mind, and enjoy the privilege of meeting this couple. Enjoy too the obvious bonus of the endless possible nature adventures you can have while you stay. Thank you so much J and M. (And extra thanks for the stupidly early packed lunch delivery for C’s mad fishing trip!) Love from us, in the UK, missing you already ❤️"

"This is the kind of stay where you feel tempted to give the hosts a big hug upon checking out:-) We spend 3 nights at this small hotel, in a proportional combination of wind, rain and sun. Regardless of the weather, this was a fantastic stay, with Mila & Klas taking utmost care of their guests. Morning coffe at the "Brygge" was amazing and so was the sauna and dip in the ocean. Highly recommendable."
