"I LOVED this place. The staff is beyond accommodating and helpful. Place is cozy and the little cabins are clean and nice. AC with private deck and hammock. Laundry line (but no laundry services). Nice pool and deck. You can watch birds in the mornings. Easy access to a beautiful beach with almost no one on it. Easy walk into town/store. Loved the food- very fresh! Saw iguanas, monkeys and birds! Beautiful gardens, perfect place for trip to Cano Island or Corcovado. Pickup is the beach outside hotel."

"We absolutely loved the location, the scenery was spectacular, lodges are beautiful and cleaned to such a high standard. The food and service sadly lets Kunken down. The staff are friendly but they need a lot more training. Food is so expensive and for children and vegetarians a total disaster. At one point we had to send pancakes back as they were served for breakfast burnt, not just a little caramelised, but black. Spaghetti was served crunchy, sauces requested on the side were poured all over, simple things. The staff seem bored and needed to play music so loudly when we had gone to Kunken for nature and to listen to the birds, monkeys, waves etc, not loud music. We booked a boat trip and were told we could jump in for a swim, brilliant we thought, but the lodge didn’t have a ladder attached to the boat meaning that some people in our group couldn’t jump in as they wouldn’t have been able to get back on the boat again. We had to keep asking for towels poolside (if we could find anyone to ask!). We had been looking forward to our stay so much and had it not been for the food and lacklustre service it would have been ideal. Sadly I wouldn’t recommend."

"Copa De Arbol was a 6 out of 5 stars! An 11 out of 10! I can't begin to describe how wonderful this place is and it all starts with the amazing staff and service! From the moment you arrive on the beach by boat you are greeted warmly and taken to the open air front desk for checkin and an overview of your week and how everything works at the resort. From there, all the staff immediately knows your names and are there to take care of anything you need. There is no need to give room numbers or names as Copa De Arbol only serves like a max of 20 guests. The cabins are beautifully crafted, spacious, and private with gorgeous hardwood floors. You don't see other people from your decks - only beautiful jungle. The 3 meals a day were beyond expectations! Clearly crafted and presented by a chef each day. Lots of variety and an elegant open air restaurant feel - being all inclusive I had much lower expectations. The best part about the meals besides the great food is the restaurant service and staff. So warm and friendly and accommodating about everything! We had tours lined up each day, and at dinner, a concierge would come to our table each night and explain and prepare us for the next days trip with logistics and any other information. It all went flawlessly. And each excursion was amazing!"
