"One of the best choices in Ostrva. It's new and clean. However, you have to specifically request to clean your room. It was upsetting that they didnt' clean it on my first day and I had to ask it to be cleaned every day. There was a little bit of inconsistency with the service but nothing major. Of course the price is not exactly the same, but if you are traveling with someone else or in a group, booking Sting is a no brainer!! (i stayed alone) I loved my stay!!!!!!! Definitely will choose Sting again"

"DO NOT BOOK HERE. This is the worst experience I’ve ever had in my life in hotel. We booked at this location through UNITED to visit our family in Ostrava and there was no disclosure at the time of booking that this location is under construction. We arrived with suitcases and saw the dust and the mess; we had to carry them down stairs ( like 50 stairs). We couldn’t cancel and book somewhere else and thought it may not be that bad. Well we were wrong. The inside of the hotel is completely rundown and dingy. The hallways smell like mold and dust. 2 days in, we leave the hotel for car-drive and when we come back the only side entrance to the hotel was closed and there was no direction on how to enter the hotel. We are left to wonder around the building and couldn’t find our way for a good 30 minutes. We saw a construction worker who was “working onsite” and asked him about the situation, he pointed at the underground garage as the “ new entrance”. I went to the reception to tell the manager about how inconvenient the situation is and she didn’t offer an apology or anything. This is the worst experience I have ever had. I will try to contact UNITED and request a refund."

"I stayed in transit as part of a bus tour. Room 705. It was a typical student dorm. It was winter, so the room was comfortable. The bed linens were clean. There was a hairdryer. The electric kettle didn't work, so I had to use the one in the shared kitchen on the floor. Toiletries were provided, towels were adequate, and the WiFi was good. Breakfast included scrambled eggs, two sausages, bread, sliced ham and cheese, natural yogurt with muesli, tea or coffee with a slice of cake, and apples and pears."

"The hotel is situated on the outskirts of the city of Ostrava but it is well connected to the center via trams or an hour long walk. The rooms are clean and tidy but definitely on the small side, not ideal if people arrive for a long time or with a lot of luggage. The breakfast has all the international staples but also local favorites and the room is tended by some lovely waitresses. The real downside is the gym which is located in a hidden part of the huge wellness area and it is also rather poorly equipped. If a gym fanatic, probably better to consider one of the local gyms for the daily workouts."

"The occasion was a parahockey tournament in Ostravarena. That's why I searched for a relatively cheap hotel that is not far from the Arena. The hotel Veronica is ideal for it. The hotel is a convenient building. It has no lift, but it was indicated in the description, so no problem for me. Free (hotel)parking is in the vicinity, but they are also quite located over the day. It is not necessarily the best area, but ok. The hotel is located in the public service stations, as well as a small supermarket. The reception was very nice, the room was OK. Breakfast was also OK. Totally a good price/performance ratio."

"Large single room halfway between train station and old town centre (15 min walk). Very friendly and informative staff. Trams outside on main road not a problem for us. Bed was squeeky and a little to firm. But overall a very good stay. Thanks. "
