Les Sources de Vougeot

The hotel is great - rooms are spacious and really well done, and the amenities are great as well. Location is also fantastic - very easy to get anywhere quickly including good places to eat and tour. The people at the hotel were all really outstanding as well. We've been to a lot of hotels and you can tell when one really stands out - this one does. People were genuinely nice, and always helpful. They made you feel very welcome. Our only downside is that there were too many kids and dogs everywhere. I don't want to be eating a nice couples dinner late at night and hear kids whining and running around, nor do I want to get run over by a kid on a bicycle when getting my breakfast, and given my partner is allergic to dogs, don't really need them sitting at the table or barking. It's more a societal complaint, and places an unfair burden on the hotel, but it makes for a less than ideal situation for others.

This is an exceptional hotel - tucked away in the beautiful village of Gilly-les-Citeaux. It’s an excellent property to stay, and to explore the beautiful villages and wineries in Côte d’Or. We were welcomed warmly. The check-in was quick and efficient. The property is stunning, and the rooms and bathrooms are excellent. The breakfast was good. They have two restaurants both very good. The dinner experience at the gastronomic restaurant Le Clos de la Tour was amazing - an expansive wine list, exceptional food and exemplary & personalised service. The SPA is very good with an indoor pool, jacuzzi and amazing massages - vino therapy! What makes a hotel exceptional is its people. The team at Les Sources de Vougeot is one of the best we have seen. Warm, hospitable, genuine smiles, and wanting to make each guest’s experience memorable. A special mention to Lee-Anne FRANC. We had a health situation with our daughter - Lee-Anne and her team responded with speed, efficiency, genuine concern and a lot of warmth and empathy. We were well taken care of right till we left the hotel. Lee-Anne and the entire team are a great asset to Les Sources de Vougeot. Strongly recommend this hotel for a memorable experience and to experience Burgundy.

A fabulous spa experience in the vaulted basment with 2 pools and sauna. A wonderful massage by Pauline. Excellent amenities and service.

From the moment we were greeted with our bags to the moment our bellhop took our bags to our car was complete perfection. The hotel is magnificent the staff even better. So welcoming and friendly. We didn’t want for anything. We had dinner at both restaurants and they were exceptional. The fine dinning experience is worthy of at least 1 star. The grounds are spectacular. Couldn’t recommend this place more.

We were lucky to experience a pre-opening stay at Les Sources de Vougeot and this hotel clearly promises to be the best place to discover Burgundy. As a family we loved the incredible breakfast buffet (highly recommend the apple crumble and viennoiseries), the beautiful Caudalie spa with its stunning pool, the local terroir cuisine of chef Julien Martin, the extensive Burgundy wine list, and authentic French spirits at the bar to finish our days.

The place is ready for closure surely. After a 6 hour drive we were told the bar and restaurant were closed and there weren’t any keys to get us a well earned beer after driving from Northern Italy , so we had a taxi they organised which cost us 50 euros to a nice restaurant. There were enough people there to service the bar and restaurant but they didn’t. Bathroom came with an old fashioned ashtray by the toilet roll holder!!! The kids they had as staff were clearly embarrassed by the situation. This place should close if they cannot run. restaurant or bar as there is NOTHING in the village it’s situated in. People had obviously gone gone to the local Aldi and stocked up on wine and food and took it back to their rooms as it was evident when we returned from the restaurant at 10.30 with trays of bottles and dishes on the floor. I never complain or give bad reports such as this unless it’s really necessary. What annoyed me was there was no advance warning of restaurant or bar unavailability and no offer of a partial refund, in fact they came after us for 6 euros tax in the car park on departure!! Absolutely disgusted

The hotel is very conveniently located along the Autoroute north to Germany. It is a beautiful chateau with a very nice and friendly team caring for its guests. We had room 14 on the very top floor, huge indeed with a modern bathroom. There is no lift though, so only suitable with light luggage to negotiate 3 sets of stairs. Generally, this place is not suited for guests with reduced mobility. Dinner at the restaurant was a very special experience, for the location, the food and particularly for the very competent and friendly team. We will certainly come back again, when passing through the area next time.

Every thing was excellent, rooms spacious, clean and comfortable. Staff always willing to help. Was especially good to be treated to free use of bycilces. Unfortunately the restaurant was not open so can't rate the food.
