"The experience at this place was very bad. The room smells of mold, everything seems improvised, the fan, air conditioning and minibar in the room are old and run down. The bed linens are old, the comforter I used is super old. Breakfast is served late, for the price charged the coffee is not worth the price charged. The owner - Tamara, does not make the slightest effort to please the guest, I asked her to leave my bags after checkout, she kept complaining, and asked me to ask a coworker if I could leave them in her room. If I could post without any stars, I would. For me the experience of this stay was horrible."

"The guesthouse is located a little far from the center, but there is silence and peace. The bed is comfortable, air conditioning and refrigerator work, the bathroom has warm water in the shower, but the drainage cage is dangerously bent so that you can cut your leg by taking a shower. Breakfast is simple but fresh, but there was something for the heat (egg or steam). It is difficult to understand, because only one person speaks English. Cleaning the room on request. The worst thing is the Internet connection, and the WiFi connection is breaking down and you can't watch TV because the same way the programs are shut down. Probably the TV is working through the Internet. The Internet is necessary to improve."

"Well-located hostel, low price...good value for money. However, the facilities and breakfast are simple. It's ok if you're not picky. The only downside was that I caught 2 cockroaches in the bathroom during my stay, which was very unpleasant. I think I was unlucky."

"This hotel is dangerous and should not be visited. They poisoned my colleague with pesticide through a mistake in spraying THROUGH the air conditioning units (he was asleep and was breathing this in for several hours) and took no responsibility whatsoever. He was very ill for three days and they never even checked on him, also not when we had to take him to hospital. That being said, it's a very low quality hotel. Amenities are broken or outdated and it's so minimalistic, it's almost impossible to live there. Careful, there are open high voltage wires INSIDE the shower. And there isn't even a small bedside lamp. The cleaning lady took my drinking water the few times she came and threw away the bottle, even if it was still half full. And are the many bites and blisters on my legs when I woke up bugs that are in the mattress?? It's very, very possible. All in all, never again."

The location is also perfect with a view over the river and a very short walking distance to the main street and colonial center. The only reason why I am not giving 5 stars is the cleanliness. I didn't feel like the bathrooms and beds were clean. Still would highly recommend"

"A lovely enclave in a quieter part of town, about 3.5km from the city center though walking distance to the beach and a few nice spots for a drink or meal. The hosts are delightful, friendly, and helpful, they will go out of their way to help you and to make the most of your visit. The garden is beautiful and the breakfast is fresh and filling. The accommodations are nice, not luxurious though clean and comfortable. I would happily stay again if I returned to Paraty."

However, we did not expect to find the dining and pool areas full of school children on a residential trip. I think this could have been pointed out to us in advance as it made lounging by the pool anything but relaxing."

"It was the most horrible experience I've ever had at a guesthouse, with no electricity, the circuit breaker turned off and the guest turning on the circuit breaker because there was no one responsible to fix it. IF YOU ARE DIABETIC, DO NOT STAY THERE BECAUSE YOU WILL LOSE YOUR INSULIN. IF YOU ARE ALLERGIC, DO NOT STAY THERE BECAUSE IT IS VERY HEAT AND YOU OPEN THE ROOM DOOR TO COOL DOWN AND THE CAT IN THE HOTEL WILL SLEEP IN YOUR BED. IF YOU ARE ELDERLY, STAY AWAY BECAUSE YOU WILL NOT HAVE ANY ASSISTANCE. IF YOU HAVE CHILDREN, RUN AWAY BECAUSE THERE IS NO WAY TO HEAT A BOTTLE. AND TO MAKE IT EVEN WORSE, THERE IS NO WAY TO HEAT A LITTLE WATER TO BATH THE CHILD. IT WAS TERRIBLE TO STAY AT THIS INN"

We had the misfortune of booking with booking and not visiting the room before paying the balance due. It was a bad move for us, we cancelled immediately but it was impossible to get a refund even for the minimum determined by the hotel's general conditions! Never again"
