ZZatie rosliHad such a wonderful anniversary getaway at DoubleTree by Hilton Damai Laut ❤️The resort was peaceful, beautiful and perfect for a relaxing escape from busy life. Loved the stunning sea view, clean room, delicious food and the warm hospitality from the staff throughout our stay.
The pool was amazing and our child really enjoyed the Kid’s Club too 🥰 It definitely made the trip more family-friendly and enjoyable for parents with kids.
Just a small suggestion — it would be even better if the Kid’s Club could include a mini playground or small slide for children to play 😊
Overall, it was a memorable and relaxing stay. Thank you for making our anniversary celebration so special ✨ Definitely looking forward to coming again!
YYauheniya Satsura🏡 Modest but Convenient Hotel Near the Beach
We stayed at this hotel in Pangkor, and overall, our experience was positive.
- 📍 **Location:** It's super close to the beach and the main street with cafes and shops – you really couldn't ask for a better spot.
- 🏠 **Accommodation Style:** The hotel is made up of small bungalows, each with its own entrance. Most have a little terrace with a table. It's all very simple, but clean and pleasant.
- 🛏️ **Amenities:** The bedding was clean, there was always hot water, and the air conditioners were powerful. The towels, however, are quite worn out and could use replacing.
- 🏊 **Pool:** There is a pool, but it looked a bit gloomy, so we didn't use it.
- 👥 **Staff:** The owners are polite and friendly. No deposit is required. There's a front desk, but it's not open 24/7, which is something to keep in mind if you're checking in late.
📌 **Bottom Line:** A simple yet tidy hotel with an excellent location. It's suitable for those looking for affordable accommodation by the sea without extravagant expectations. We were happy with our stay.
GGuest UserVery mixed experience.
Good location. Overall hotel condition is good.
Check-in and check out was fast and efficient, and the staff—including the manager—handled issues professionally. After a serious bathroom flooding problem with a strong sewage smell, we were moved to a clean room, given a late checkout, and a kind apology.
The restaurant was very disappointing. The shrimp and melon cocktail arrived without melon, with undercooked shrimp and an overwhelming amount of mayonnaise instead of the advertised dressing. After complain they gave us a plate of fresh melon and watermelon but still in a huge amout of mayonnaise. The pizza was also badly overcooked. They also offer to replace it but we were already fed up of waiting time and overall, the food felt careless and not up to standard.
As mentioned in many review bedsheets were grayish, stained, and we found hairs on them, making it uncomfortable to sleep.
Breakfast was simple but okay.
Overall: Very good staff response, but major improvements needed in food quality and linen condition.
AAnonymous UserIf you’re looking for a clean, modern, and hassle-free stay on Pulau Pangkor, Pop Ash Hotel is a fantastic choice. The rooms are sleek and well-maintained with a cool industrial-chic vibe that stands out from the more traditional chalets on the island. The location is very convenient for exploring, and the staff are incredibly welcoming and helpful with local tips or arranging transport. It offers great value for money, combining a boutique feel with excellent service—highly recommended for anyone wanting a comfortable and stylish base while enjoying the island!
NNaz Kamala quick one night stay with affordable price. one way to teluk nipah. not so distance but need transportation to get from jetty to the hotel. comfy bed, clean shower. coffee, tea & hot water at the lobby, but accessable up to 10:30 p.m. only. there's duty free shops, convenience store nearby - just a walk away.

HHZDinWe had an unpleasant experience at this hotel. We booked a 2-night stay, and upon arrival, the receptionist assigned us a room on Level 1. However, we soon discovered that the door lock was faulty and could not be secured. We requested a room change, which the receptionist approved, and we were moved to a room on Level 2.
The first night was fine, but on the second night, the air conditioning stopped working, leaving us in an uncomfortably hot room. When I informed the receptionist, she stated that all rooms were fully booked, despite a higher-priced room still being available. At 4 a.m., I could no longer endure the heat and insisted on a solution. Eventually, at 6 a.m., we were moved to the higher-priced room on Level 1.
GGuest UserThis is my first trip to Pangkor Island. I had book this hotel last minute in Agoda after I bought the ticket for last ferry 7.15pm from Marina to Pangkor. I had choose this hotel because I had see the review is not bad with 5star review for all the review in year 2020 and they rank 5th for overall best hotel in Pulau Pangkor. When I arrive at the hotel, there is nobody there for me to do the check in. I am thinking the staff maybe out to buy or having their dinner. But after a while 2 of the staff is back in the property and told me they are not expecting any guest so they went out to buy dinner. After thinking a while, it is not surprise as they not expect anyone today. First I only do the booking not long ago so they may not had received the email from Agoda. Second, today Malaysia recorded the highest day for people infected with Covid-19. As this 2 reason, they sure will not expecting any guest for the day. But this not concern me at all, because I am having great time while staying at this hotel. Below are all the reason which I will highly recommend this hotel to who had read my review here. 1. The hotel rate is reasonable. The room is chalet/villa type which the room rate is cheap. 2. This hotel had been newly renovated so it is cosy to stay. Please do not read any review before year 2020. They had renovated the hotel in 2020, all the furniture is new and the stay is cosy. 3. The staff and management is very friendly. They will assist you in what they can. 4. There is a fews bicycle to use for free at the hotel. 5. The location is very good. Walking distance to the Pasir Bojak Beach. And there is a lot of Chinese and Malay restaurant nearby. (Fully recommend “Chao Seng Seafood Rstaurant” nearby) 6. There is a few motor bike or car rental outside the hotel which for sure will be convenient for you to ride around the island. (Recommend to take a bike and you can ride the bike for island tour) I feel so relax and happy for my 3d2n trip while staying at this hotel. Will come back to stay here for my next trip to Pangkor Island again. Again, Tripadvisor had not disappointed me when I am searching for a hotel stay to a place which I am not familiar. I hope with my review I can make this property to more higher ranking so that everyone will be happy to discover this hotel.
Rrazib 22Smooth process, convenient parking, and a spacious room for four people. The bathroom was fine, and the air conditioning was cold. There are plenty of food options nearby. The only drawback was the noise at night from the main road, but it was good value for money.
JJ$SI recently stayed at your hotel and would like to share my feedback regarding my experience.
Firstly, I must commend the quality of the hotel room itself. It was well-appointed, clean, and comfortable, providing a pleasant environment for my stay. The amenities and facilities within the room met my expectations, and the overall ambiance contributed to a relaxing atmosphere.
However, I encountered an issue with the water supply in the room. The water pressure was not strong enough, which made showering and using the sink somewhat inconvenient. Additionally, the water temperature was not consistently hot; it tended to fluctuate, and at times, it was uncomfortably cold.
