"Jamala is a very special experience. The love and care that all the staff (housekeeping and animal keeping alike!) put into this place is very obvious. Jamala is warm and inviting and the food is fantastic. Don’t miss the welcome afternoon tea, and dinner is plentiful and delicious. We stayed in the Meerkat room and spent plenty of time with the three resident meerkat boys. The after hours aquarium tour for the kids whilst the adults enjoyed their second course was a particular highlight for our son - keeper John gave them a personal tour, and introduced them to sharks and snakes. Our tour of the zoo was informative and engaging, don’t miss it. A special mention for Scott in Jamala as well, who provided amazing hospitality. Overall an experience well worth every cent."

"We can hear people next door talking as we were arranged to stay at a connecting room. The door crack is so wide that we can hear people next door talking which gives a sense of insecurity. It is suggested that the door crack should be fixed, for the privacy of people staying at the two rooms who do not know each other."
