Rooms 10/10. Spacious and clean, good air conditioning, super comfortable bed and pillows. Didn’t like the food at room service much, maybe the products are of high quality but the cooking could be improved. However, the breakfast was great as you have plenty of options to choose from. Didn’t feel very welcomed as one night guest during check in process, wasn’t provided breakfast time,location etc. I can say there was no service at all, I had to ask questions, ask for help with luggage etc. Later, I met a man at the reception who was very nice and kind, if not him - the overall impression of the hotel service could be disappointing.

Traveling with our child, we opted for a family-friendly resort and stayed for 4 nights – it was a perfect experience! 1. The hotel boasts several pools, but our child mostly enjoyed the Family Pool, complete with their favorite water slides, a water castle, and even an in-pool restaurant! Our little one was thrilled, sipping coconut juice and eating pizza while playing in the water. 2. The resort offers various dining options, including Thai, Japanese, Western, and buffet restaurants. The food was consistently good, but do note that dinner reservations are essential for all restaurants; otherwise, you'll have to venture out to Patong for a meal. 3. The hotel organizes different activities daily, and there's a Kids' Club where you can leave your child. Honestly, there's enough to do at the hotel itself. They also offer a親子Spa (parent-child spa) – a bit pricey, but absolutely wonderful and a must-try experience with your child. 4. The service here deserves full marks. The staff are all smiles, polite, attentive, and professional, yet still warm. When my child's toy went missing, they quickly helped us find it. 5. The hotel has its own private beach with clean water and fine sand. Our child could happily spend half a day playing in the sand or surfing. When the tide goes out, you can even spot coral and fish! 6. The hotel's decor feels new and it's very clean. We'd seen reviews about poor water quality at other hotels, but the Marriott Merlin Beach had no such issues; the water quality was excellent, and we didn't encounter any geckos, mosquitoes, or other bugs. 7. One tiny suggestion: the hotel doesn't have a washing machine. With a child changing clothes multiple times a day, it was quite exhausting for this mom! 8. Upon departure, we received a farewell card and a small gift. Overall, our experience at the hotel was a 9.9 out of 10. We will definitely be back!
