Forte Village Resort - le Dune

"Beautiful place, nice rooms, friendly personnel. It's a bit of an experience just to walk around the resort park. The "Le Dune" hotel had rooms embodied in separate bungalows with their own garden patch, very charming! Also very handy: A resort app with a high-precision map navigator to help you through the myriads of small footpaths, including a super convenient and very well-functioning "Take me home" function, indispensable in the dark (especially if you've had a few good drinks). Because in certain neighbourhoods all houses look alike, and it can be difficult to find or read he room numbers. And the paths are so crinkly you will easily lose your sense of direction when the sun isn't shining. The breakfast "on the beach" is excellent and you can get a quite nice pizza dinner for less than 20 euros. Only the buffet or à la carte dinners cost a lot more. A lot. But then, this is not a budget resort. Lots of activities offered which I had no time to try out (sports, gym, etc). We were extremely unlucky with the weather, had hoped for some sunny pool and beach time, but it was cold, rainy and windy almost all week. This will probably never happen in May ever again, so do not let that deter you. I really only have some minor complaints: 1) there was no grounded EU norm power socket in the room (except behind the minibar, which was very difficult to reach). So it was hard to plug in and charge my laptop (I was there on a business conference). 2) No really comfortable working desk/chair in the room. For people on holiday this is no big deal but we were there for work (rats). 3) Something as fundamental as a bottle of normal potable water, which I'd need in my room just to gurgle down my daily "health pills" or to wash an apple, costs 5 euros. That's pretty steep."

Lantana Resort Hotel&Apartments

"We spent a week at Lantana from 8 June. It is a lovely hotel set in beautiful grounds. We had a good sized double room with terrace overlooking the gardens and pool area. The room was well equipped with a very comfortable superking bed. The whole hotel and grounds are well maintained and kept immaculately clean. There was a good breakfast with plenty of choice and lunch and dinner menus served good food. Swimming pool is wonderful with plenty of sunbeds and shade. All the staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful. The hotel runs a free shuttle to the beach and historical site at Nora and it is about a mile walk into the town of Pula. We had a wonderful relaxing holiday and will definitely return as we loved this hotel."

"We started our trip at this hotel and it remained our favorite. Beautiful setting, lovely garden, immaculate condition. The area around the pool is very pleasant and well laid out. The room was comfortably sized, in a Sardinian style, and very clean. A peaceful place that invites relaxation. Friendly and smiling staff. The breakfast was plentiful and varied. The town center is a few minutes' walk away with restaurants, bars, and a few shops. Excellent piña coladas! ;)"

"On the first day of the holiday, dirty yellow water with manure is coming out of bath and shower drains and staying there. Each time you flush the toilet, the same water comes out in shower and bathroom, making it impossible to shower or use the bathroom."

"The rooms are of adequate size, with well appointed bathrooms. Luckily we stayed in rooms around the courtyard, overlooking a carp pond, unlike other members of the party whose rooms overlooked the car park, albeit with greenery separating the terrace from the cars. The gardens really are quite stunning and well cared therefore it is such a shame that the management of the hotel is well below average. Restaurant service is extraordinarily bad, the food is average and overpriced. With the exception of the front desk, the hotel and bar closes at 10:30pm. A huge very expensive disappointment. Sant’Efis, you have the skeleton; a magnificent setting with wonderful planting. Sort out the management and you will be up there with exceptional hotels."
