"I stayed in this hotel during a heatwave in 2026. The hotel was extremely hot with my room (on the third floor) almost unbearable as it had no air-conditioning. The staff did provide a fan which was on when I checked-in but the window only opened a fraction providing virtually no fresh air. So, I wouldn't recommend staying here in the summer if you want to get a good night's sleep - I didn't. I understand from the manager that the ground floor rooms are air-conditioned as the windows do not open so perhaps these are fine to stay in during the summer as is the hotel in colder months I'm sure. Location-wise, the hotel is perfectly placed, however. I just wish Travelodge as a company would invest in making its rooms an acceptable quality all year round."

"WOnderful location overlooking the harbour where the armada set off to save our soldiers from Dunkirk , spotless clean , lovely rooms with great decor and sitting area. WE were in the annex and ate at the Little Ships on the sea front which has the same owners. MAGIC meal. We will go back as it is a great baae to explore the area"
