"The room and the service in the hotel were both really good, we were very pleased. However, the location was a disaster, it was central and incredibly noisy with mopeds roaring around late into the night and early morning, the noise insulation was really poor. There also was no bar or restaurant in the hotel and while breakfast was fine it was very expensive. Unfortunately due to the noise levels we wouldn’t stay here again, a shame as there is a lot to like but we left feeling exhausted."

"We stayed here one night to see the area and to travel into Portofino from the sea. Very nice room with an associated restaurant. Staff was wonderful and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Not too far of a walk from the train station. To go to Portofino via a ferry boat is easy access from the hotel. Walk to the water and turn left, the ferry is less than a five minute walk from the hotel."

The hosts were incredibly kind, welcoming, and genuinely caring, making us feel as if we were staying in our own home rather than a hotel. Their warm hospitality made our trip even more special. The location is excellent, just a short walk from both the beach and the train station, making it very convenient for exploring the area. Our room was spotless and well maintained throughout our stay. We also loved the atmosphere of the hotel, which is beautifully decorated with photographs and paintings that give it a unique and artistic charm. We truly enjoyed every moment of our stay and would highly recommend Hotel San Desiderio to anyone looking for a comfortable, welcoming, and authentic place to stay. We would be happy to return in the future."
