"The hotel was very basic and had everything we needed. Close to the train station and near restaurants you can't go too wrong. The only issue was the strong bleach smell we first encountered when we entered the room, and the walls were super thin. We could hear our neighbor coughing and snoring."

"It is an old house with history. It is very artistically decorated and filled with many paintings and calligraphy. The location is some distance from Saga Station, and a taxi from the JR station costs about 1,000 yen. If you walk, it takes about 20 minutes and you will pass through China Town. There are many restaurants and coffee shops on the road. Diagonally across from the hotel is Tamaya (a long-established department store in Saga), but this road is extremely quiet and the Japanese-style rooms have a very nice mood. But the area is really too small. After making the bed at night, there is basically no place to stand. On the first day of check-in, the hotel may have many guests, but something ”bad” happened. First, the toilet in the bathroom was not wiped clean. The waiter came to apologize sincerely and moved us to another room. Then we went downstairs for dinner, but when we came up, they should have made the bed while we were dining, but maybe there was not enough service staff. , the bed was not made. But fortunately they were all resolved in time. The proprietress of the hotel is very elegant. There is a service staff at the front desk who is very good in Chinese, Japanese and English. There is no problem in communication. We stayed for two consecutive days, and they specially prepared different contents for dinner so as not to eat the same thing two days. This is very thoughtful. If you come to Saga and want to try a quiet family hotel, but don’t have time to go to the mountains in the countryside, then this one is highly recommended."

"APA Hotel, a representative of mid-low-priced business hotels, always seems to be in the middle when you go there. Compared to the Livmax chain of the same category, Livmax mainly uses new buildings, while APA does not. However, in terms of service, APA is better. It has more amenities, provides ice and ice cups, and has relatively good soundproofing. However, because it is an old building, hot and cold water are separated, which is inconvenient."

"The restroom is small and a bit out of the way. The nearest convenience store is at the train station or on the way to Saga Castle. There are many izakayas (Japanese pubs) nearby, but not many restaurants. However, it would be very convenient if I needed to get to Saga Airport after a night's rest, as there is a bus stop nearby that goes directly to the airport."

"It's a little older but clean and comfortable. The front desk is warm and thoughtful. The key is heavy. When you leave the room and go out, you have to hand the key to the front desk. You can just pick it up at the front desk when you come back. It's not very far from Jr Station, so you can just walk there."
