📍 Alpseestraße 16, Schwangau

"The location is excellent and convenient for visiting Neuschwanstein Castle. The hotel dinner is good, recommended. Breakfast is average. The front desk can help you buy tickets for the next day's Neuschwanstein Castle tour, which is very convenient. The rooms are too small and old."

Landgasthof Hanselewirt

Landgasthof Hanselewirt ★★★

📍 Mitteldorf 13, Schwangau

"This is a restaurant and hotel all in one. The restaurant on the first floor, and the guest rooms upstairs. There are free parking spaces, but there are not many parking spaces (but I don’t know if the parking spaces across the road belong to it), and it should be first come, first served. There is a pretty good supermarket about 100 meters away. It is very close to the Neuschwanstein Castle attraction, only three or four kilometers away. The location is still very good. There is no elevator, the room is relatively clean, and the bathroom is spacious enough. If I remember correctly, there should be no air conditioning, but the weather was already cold when we came here, and there was no need for air conditioning."

Landhotel Huberhof

Landhotel Huberhof ★★★

📍 Seestraße 67, Brunnen, Schwangau

"The receptionist was very welcoming and proactively gave me the taxi number, as you can only call a taxi here because Bolt doesn't cover the area. The cabin was cozy, a bit small, but suitable for two nights. It's near the lake with beautiful scenery, and about 5.5 kilometers from Neuschwanstein Castle, which is reasonable. However, taxis here are extremely expensive, costing over 20 euros one way for just 5 kilometers. The hotel has a restaurant, offering pork chops and steaks; I had the pork chops. Overall, the idyllic countryside setting makes experiencing a Bavarian autumn cabin quite lovely."

Hotel Helmer ★★★
"Good: - beautiful hotel and rooms - clean and large rooms - good breakfast Bad: - tv on the smaller size and no streaming - music during the breakfast (90’s pop) was totally out of theme with the Tiroler hotel All in all, well run hotel that’s very tastefully decorated and with a decent kitchen. Just the finishing touch is still missing at the moment."

"We received excellent service from the restaurant staff, as well as from a young man at reception, but otherwise, we were disappointed by the level of hospitality from the rest of the staff. Some didn't even bother to acknowledge our greeting, at least those at reception."

Hotel Waldmann ★★
"I would recommend this hotel. The hotel very peaceful, I like it. At first floor also have a restaurant. But here have no elevator so please careful to request high floor if you have a big luggage 😅 The staff so kind and nice to give you advice and always take care. This hotel have a good area not faraway from train and bus station. You can get the free tickets to use public transport in the city and leave your luggage to explore the city before check-in time."
