"This was my second stay at Vila Galé Náutico, we stayed here last August as a family of 4 and returned early June just myself and my 10 year old for a short break. The location of the hotel is great - just 40 minutes from Faro airport with the beach and a variety of restaurants just a few minutes walk away. We also found a quieter beach just 10 minutes walk up the road. There's also a Lidl within walking distance. ZooMarine is well worth a day trip (or 2!) and is only a short Uber ride away. The hotel is clean, modern and felt very safe. Staff were lovely and very helpful. Last year we did have an issue with ants in our room (don't leave food out!) but the hotel sorted this for us. This year the room was spotless. Last year we had a double family room with large terrace overlooking the pool, this year we had a twin room at the front of the hotel with a balcony which was overlooking a car park but did also have a sea view. The pool side rooms are very noisy in the evening as they are also over the restaurant and evening entertainment, but this always finished by 11pm. The room at the front of the hotel was much quieter with minimal road noise. Both rooms were spacious and comfortable with a mini fridge, safe, hairdryer etc. The outdoor pool is good - a little cold at first but not freezing, and even in August when the hotel was very busy it didn't feel overcrowded. It could do with a bit more of a clean around the waterline, especially around the steps but on the whole it feels well looked after. In August it was difficult to get loungers if you weren't down by mid-morning but in June there were loads available at all times of the day. We used the indoor pool last year but this year they were enforcing swimming hats so we gave it a miss. Last year we were All Inclusive and we found that the evening food wasn't the best. There was a variety of options, and the themed nights mixed it up, but it wasn't amazing. Our kids also found it difficult to find options they liked so we didn't feel like we quite got value for money there. The pool/snack bar however does great food during the day and the breakfast has a lot of different choices available. The Italian restaurant on site is also very good (ate there both times). This year we decided to skip the all inclusive so we got to see what the individual prices are like. At the snack bar a hot dog, or toastie with fries costs €6.50, and a burger with fries costs €12.50. Cocktails were €6.50 too. We avoided using the mini bar in the room as the prices were very high (but is included in the all inclusive). The Italian restaurant was about €40 for the 2 of us. Other nights we went out for food. Overall we thought it was a great hotel and would definitely stay again, although we would avoid the summer holidays as we liked it a bit quieter."

"Our one night stay was excellent. We booked two rooms, one for my wife and I and the other for my son and his wife. The rooms were well fitted out and were very clean. The bathroom was perfect with a grab handle on the bath and a very easy to use shower attachment - my wife and I are both elderly and appreciate these things! From booking in - to booking out, the staff were friendly and helpful. We often visit Armacao de Pera and will definately choose Lindmar again and stay longer!"

Vale Fuzeiros Nature Guest House ★★★★
"Our stay at Vale Fuzeiros Nature Guesthouse was exactly what we expected it to be. Surrounded by trees filled with birds and a herbs garden, the guesthouse breaths nature. Clean and comfortable rooms with full privacy, even if the large (covered) terrace is shared with other guests. Very nice breakfast buffet which made us look forward to it every morning of the week, not to forget the excellent coffee! Although a dinner menu is presented by the guesthouse, there is a typical Portuguese restaurant at only 5' walking distance we love to recommend. The friendly guesthouse personnel gave us valuable tips for daytrips to places worth visiting in Algarve. The ideal trip for everyone who loves to bike and/or walk in nature and along the coastline, or just sit down and read a book, enjoy nature. As a stop during road trip or for longer stay."

Vila Gale Nautico ★★★★
"This Hotel is in an area with very high rise buildings were Portuguese residents live, while the accommodation is adequate, the Hotel itself is soulless, a small local beer was 4 euro and a small bottle of water cost the same 4 euro, the food is not good, very basic and little choice, we were half-board and had to eat in local restaurants due to hunger, the Staff in general were not efficient and not friendly , everything seemed disorganised and nobody seemed to care, I wouldn't recommend staying here"

Amendoeira Golf Resort ★★★★
"A group of 12 stayed at the Amendoeira Golf Resort from 7th to 10th October 2025. We played the Faldo course, which, despite the slow play, was excellent. On completion of our round each fourball went to the bar, where we ordered and paid for drinks in groups of four. This continued through into the restaurant where we ordered our dinner, each fourball ordered and paid for drinks separately to the food. However when the food bill arrived it included drinks that had not been ordered along with the food (this was in the region of €45). I asked to speak to the manager and explained that we had not ordered any drinks with our food and that all drinks were purchased at the time of ordering in three groups of four. The manager refused to listen to me and said if the drinks were on the bill it had to be paid. I asked if the staff member who had served us the drinks could be identified but she refused to interact, insisting that if the drinks were on the bill they had to be paid for. We did not wish to cause any trouble and advised the manager that we would pay the additional €45, but that we had intended to stay in the bar for the rest of the night and also planned to be there the following day for drinks and food. However due to her attitude and intransigence we were going to drink up, leave and would not be making any further purchases at the resort, which was exactly what we did. It was disappointing that the restaurant staff were so amateur in performing their duties and that the manager was not prepared to listen to their customers, who had a legitimate grievance. Very disappointed and will not be returning to Amendoeira Golf Resort."

Hotel de Charme Capela Das Artes ★★★
"Nice territory with olive trees, but all buildings and rooms are worn out. Maybe somebody thinks it’s nice, kind of vintage, but it’s not comfortable staying at all, ROOMS: outdated. Two beds shifted together, but it didn’t become one bed. Rather spacious bedroom, bathroom isn’t big. Inconvenient sink, old style shower. There is terrace or balcony in the room. Room is equipped with a safe and teapot. LOCATION: 15min drive to the nearest beach, there are three restaurants nearby, Aldi supermarket in front of the hotel. FOOD: breakfast 8:30-11:00am €12 per person. FACILITIES: wi-fi is ok in room, but not so good in the terrace; outdoor swimming pool STAFF: polite, but not very welcoming. Be notified that reception deck works until 7pm."

Quinta Dos Is ★★★
"Grateful blessings to Sergio & Andreia 🙏 I feel truly grateful for my stay at Quinta dos Is, where I spent a peaceful week that felt like my own personal retreat. The hospitality from Sergio and Andreia comes straight from the heart and is of the highest level. They were both incredibly helpful. The location is perfect — a quiet area where you can truly unwind, with a lovely swimming pool and hot tub. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well cared for. And don’t miss the eggs at breakfast — they’re delicious! I can wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone seeking true peace, relaxation, and retreat. It’s the perfect spot to slow down, enjoy the Portuguese lifestyle, and soak up the sun. Thank you both again for such a special experience 💛"

We will definetly be coming back to this bed and breakfast as it is a great base camp for all of the Algarve, we feel like we've only seen half of it. In short: we loved our stay at Casa dos Ninos!"
