"What a stay!!! Wonderful place. Every single member of staff made our stay amazing, but a special thank you has to go out to Lambros and Dimitra, who looked after us down on the beach. They were friendly, helpful and efficient and worked so so hard everyday in the heat. And they did it all with a smile!!!! The hotel itself is great. Nice spacious rooms. We had a garden room and probably one of the only rooms with a poor view, but we spent very little time in there. The sea view rooms would be worth paying extra for if you wanted to chill on the balcony, but we liked to stay later round the pool or beach. Beach was very quiet and peaceful and clean. Always a bed, but the ones on the front were always "reserved" by 8! There is a sign asking people not to do this and I can imagine the hassle and aggro it would cause if this rule was enforced. Only negative is the food. Lunch menu was spot on and really good value and I really liked the breakfast. We all did! Service at breakfast was also really spot on! We ate in the evening a couple of times, and the food did take a while to come out and was okay, but could be better. I think a lot of people go into town for dinner, but on one night there was a storm, so all the tables were full. I will eat pretty much anything, so I can't mark the restaurant down for this, but I know how fussy others can be, so this is purely some constructive feedback. I would return!!!! In a heartbeat! But for longer. 7 days was just not enough for me."

"Wow, where to start! My wife and I have just returned from an amazing two weeks at the Princess resort. It’s everything that the Hotel advertises, plus more! The whole resort is traditional Greek look and feel, plus super clean, modern facilities, amazing food, fantastic location and beach. We were in the block where reception was would recommend third floor great views of Hotel Gardens and the sea. You can understand why most of the cast and crew stayed here for the filming of Mamma Mia! Loads of amazing restaurants, Taverna and bars easily accessible right outside the hotel. recommend Vesuvio, Symposio, and infinity blue! Great restaurants in Skiathos town: Bakaliko, the windmill and La dokolla. Number 16 bus stop is almost right outside the hotel too, so really easy access to all parts of the island, 2.20 euro each way, per person. Staff are all absolutely fantastic. Attentive to your needs, super friendly, always polite. Too many staff to mention all of them but But here some call outs: Elpida - waitress at breakfast and around the pool. Constantinos - really helpful front desk Marina - waitress at the breakfast Alsley - at the beach bar/restaurant. Mr Shafique - manager. Thank you all, you are a credit to the Hotel. Can’t wait to book again!"

"Good location and wonderful views, pool and bar excellent. The staff at the pool bar and breakfast area is just amazing. If you arrive by car after dark, it can be a little hard to find, (leave the main road at busstop 12, and drive up to the building with the sign Blue. (The name of the pool bar). Hotel sign is not very easy to spot. Downsides ; Elevators only works once in a while and its a lot of stairs if you have trouble with stairs. Our first night was freezing cold, the Hotel opened up the day before and the aircondition didnt work. All together we were very happy with our stay."

"Absolutely beautiful. A really lovely family run hotel in the best place in Greece. Skiathos Town is so pretty, so full of delightful restaurants and bars, so scenic and traditional yet cosmopolitan. A really lovely family competitor with Santorini but without the Diva prices. However the best bit for me is the Kostas and Mary Hotel, it is just right. Kostas and Mary are so genuinely friendly, and with their sons and team they make the holiday perfect. Great service, instant and with a smile. Also the whole place is so clean, the rooms, the pool (never in my life seen a pool cleaned so well every single night and day!), and gardens that could do well in a Chelsea flower show display! Special thank you to Christos, the full time gardener, laundry man and odd job man, never ever seen anyone work so hard. Thank you also to lovely Claudia, you lighten up the day like a beautiful sunrise! I highly recommend this hotel."

"Brilliant little hotel with super helpful staff and a very friendly atmosphere. There’s only one negative which is the dreaded hill. However once you’re up it’s well worth the effort. The rooms were cleaned every day and were very spacious with fantastic sea views."

Villa Christina

"Spent a week in July with my 2 adult daughters. The hotel is lovely very small and peaceful with a gorgeous warm pool set in well kept gardens and surrounded by pine clad hills. There is a great bar and food is served throughout the day by the pool. Menu is limited but good, home cooked to order by the fabulous Elena! We were greeted at the gate and shown to our room where everything was explained to us. The room itself was basic but very clean. We had a suite which had a double bedroom bathroom and a separate lounge area with sofa bed and camp bed. Unfortunately the lounge had no air con or windows so was too hot to sleep in. Consequently we had to move the camp bed into the bedroom where the air conditioning unit was and all 3 of us had to share room , bit cramped but we managed not a problem for us but maybe an issue for other parties of 3 or more? Villa Christina is quite isolated, about 15 minute walk down hill to main road, bus stop and a few restaurants and supermarket. The walk down is very pleasant but not so good back up in the heat. The walk down to the beach is not far but the path is very steep and rough and frankly not worth it as very small crowded and noisy. In the evening we walked down and got bus to Skiathos town which is very pretty , interesting and busy, then got taxi back. Second half of week we hired car and explored this beautiful island and gorgeous beaches We had a fantastic week here and would thoroughly recommend if you want peace and quiet but definitely not for anyone wanting anything lively or those who have difficulty walking."

"Stayed here for 12 nights with my husband.. lovely apartments with great maid service every day . Beds are comfortable and spotless.. the pool area is nice with towels provided and a bar area serving cold beers and drinks and snacks .. breakfast is plentiful.. the usual cereal , yogurt, fruit , cakes , croissants etc .. hot food like eggs .. little sausages, local bacon etc .. hot water for tea .. and coffee which does sadly get cold quickly.. cappuccino and latte coffees available to purchase. The steep hill from the port and town is a killer .. you have to get a taxi back .. you can walk down but back is hard .. the staff are wonderful.. can’t do enough for you.. and the housekeeper lady is so good ., cleaned our room every single day. I think if we came back to skiathos we would probably stay closer to the town .. otherwise we would definitely stay here again."

"Located in the center of Skiathos but on a secluded street, the room and common areas are excellently cleaned. Towels and sheets are changed daily. The room has a Nespresso coffee machine, convenient because coffee in Skiathos is a bit expensive."

"My daughter and I had a fabulous 5 days at Hotel Rene. Took a taxi from the airport for EUR15 and was sipping a cool glass of wine in the hotel bar with lovely views within 45 minutes of landing. The hotel manager was extremely welcoming and friendly, both on arrival and any time we saw him. The hotel offers a lovely clean and refreshing pool and comfortable sun loungers, which surprisingly did not get reserved before breakfast. There is no music played around the pool, which we usually enjoy, but this did make it very peaceful. There is an honesty box for the purchase of drinks, water, ice cubes etc outside of hours which was really helpful. Room was cleaned and linens changed daily and beds were comfortable, although pillows a little hard. The location is excellent - a short walk downhill to bus stop 4, 15 mins walk into town and 5-10 mins to the beach (add an extra 5 for walking back uphill, but compared to other places the hills were not half as bad as feared). On departure, there is an ample shower room with hairdryer etc to change before leaving as well as luggage storage and the possibility to hire a pool towel for 1 euro so no need to carry home wet towels. Thanks for a great stay."
