Filia Luxury Suites
Iraklis Apartments
"Lovely basic Greek self catering apartments, clean pool area with plenty of comfy sunbeds. Reasonable pool but for drinks and snacks. Everything you need for a good base to go our abd about. Good location to bars and resturants over the main road but there us an underpass if it's busy. Friendly owners Maria and Stavros are really helpful. We would stay again. Thanks laura and Mike."
Golden Bee Lifestyle
"Quiet and beautiful hotel with very helpful and friendly staff. Whatever we needed, they immediately found solutions and gave us great recommendations for the island as well! The cuisine is fresh and delicious, the cocktails are very good, and thankfully they are generous with the alcohol. We would definitely come back!"
Astir Studios
"Toni and his mum are both exceptional, from the breakfast to their local knowledge. The room was spotless, close enough to enjoy the town far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet. You will not be disappointed if you book here."
Dionysos Apartments & Studios
"My wife and I stayed at the Dionysos Apartments during an 8-day trip to the beautiful Island of Crete in mid-May 2024. We had previously stayed here in May 2016, when the apartments were owned by a different family. We always do a little research on trip advisor and other websites prior to booking, and we saw that the Dionysos Apartments had availability and been taken over by a different family, the reviews looked good, and we knew the area so booked up straight away. The main Stalis area (bars & majority of restaurants) is a nice 10-minute walk along the ocean front. We booked a double bed apartments with pool view. The big double bed along with the pillows were extremely comfortable and the apartment was more than big enough for the both of us and the AC was good. During our 8 days stay the room was cleaned every other day and the towels and the bedding were changed regularly. There was a TV in our lounge area, but we didn't switch it on so can't comment on channel availability or languages available. Please note that for some reason it is the norm in Cretan accommodation for there to be no shower curtain place, resulting in the bathroom floor becoming soaked. This is Crete wide and not just at the Dionysos. We felt both comfortable and safe and the whole studio was impeccably clean as was everywhere in and around the complex including the immaculate pool area. The pool (9am - 8pm / kid friendly) and surrounding area are impeccably clean as is the well-stocked bar which is open from 9am until the last person leaves. Drinks are reasonably priced as is the bar menu (breakfast/lunch/dinner) and the outside eating area is a great little social meeting place. Sunbeds and umbrellas are free to use and there is more than enough to go around for all residents. We had everything we required from a self-catering apartment and if there was something we needed or advise required then we only had to ask Eli the owner or one of her family members (mum, dad, sister, husband) who help run this small family business. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay, yes, the accommodation is basic, but if you want 5-star accommodation, you're going to have to pay 5-star prices. At the Dionysos you get clean, basic, well-maintained accommodation in a beautiful little complex with a fantastic Cretan friendly family feel at a fair price."

Kapetánissa Concept Studios
Stalis Hotel
"Hotel “Stalis” Very good *****, service, food, also very good, wonderful staff especially bartender Arjani, very close to the sea, very close to the city. I recommend you to come and visit. Thank you “Stalis”"
Zeus Hotels Palm Beach
"Arrived 17th September. The room was dated and on the first night the bathroom flooded, water came through the smail drain on the floor, at first reception told me just to leave it and let it run away until I insisted someone looked at it as it would happen everyday. It was fixed. The food. Breakfast was mediocre, the juices were left to run out and they didn't seem to want to refil them, the evening meal was awful, one night it tasted like they had spilt the salt into the food. The dining room is like a canteen. We ended up eating out even though we had paid for half board. The barman, on our first day seemed chatty but for the rest of the week you was lucky to get a grunt out of him. It's location on the beachfront cannot be faulted but there are plenty of properties along the front on the beach, I recommend you look elsewhere."

Niro Beachfront Living
Alai, Crete, a Tribute Portfolio Resort
"We had the BEST experience at Hotel Alai. The facilities, staff and everything else completely exceeded our expectations, and created the best possible vacation for my family and I. We will most definitely return to this wonderful place."
Riviera Beach Hotel
"We have been coming to this town of Stalis on Crete for 30 years and we booked this hotel, which was completed last year, in June, but it is also the last time! Rooms are far too small and you can barely get into the shower, and they charge almost €200 for a hotel room, which is certainly not worth it. Furthermore, the manager and owner are very unfriendly and nothing at all at the resort itself. to experience . It all looks nice in the photos, but this hotel is certainly not worth the price. Advice is not to book this hotel, there are much nicer hotels or apartments on Stalis and also for a different price there."
Nikos Apartments
"My family and I have been coming to Nikos for 20 years. Recently we thought maybe it was time to try somewhere new. We were filled with disappointment and regret as nothing will ever compare to Nikos. Effie, Van and the family make Nikos apartments extra special for anyone who visits. If you want to relax, unwind and enjoy the beautiful Stalida then there is no better place than Nikos Apartments. We will be back next year!"
Maria Lambis Apartments
"Lovely little place which was nice and quiet. Staff are great, loved our stay. Thanks for making us feel so welcome. Would love to come back again one day. Location is very good, takes about 15 mins to walk into town which was perfect for us. Beach is a 5 minute walk away"
Amazones Villas Apartments
"Walls were too thin, I could hear every word the neighbours said. The rooms are very dated and a throw back to the 80’s. WiFi dreadful but we were told the rooms were earthquake proof, rubbish, we’re well travelled. The only positive was that Mika was lovely. I’m always skeptical of “cash only” apartments. We won’t be returning."
Eurohotel Katrin Hotel & Bungalows
"The hotel is beautiful Food was really nice Staff friendly and work hard Room are cleaned daily and really clean Fresh towels and change of bed is regular Great check out service storage need 2 euro for locker and free use of shower bookable at reception Beautiful adult only pool too Location close to beach and local shops Supermarket just up road to right really friendly owners"
Horizon Beach
Cactus Royal Spa & Resort
"Just returned from one week’s stay with a friend at The Cactus Royal Hotel & Spa in Stalis. Had a fantastic time from start to finish. The staff could not have been friendlier, food was varied, fresh and delicious. Something for everyone’s taste. The room was clean, bedlinen changed with clean towels every 2 days. Our room was on the second floor, stairs to room, no lift, but was lovely and quiet with a pool view. Beds were super comfortable. Bathroom was modern with fantastic powerful shower, with shower gel and shampoo provided. Plenty of sunbeds every day by the pools and lovely beach only a couple of minutes walk away. (The sunbeds and parasol on the beach were 18 euros!) Hotel in very nice location with plenty of shops, pubs and restaurants just outside the hotel - nice for an evening stroll. The only downside was the airport. We arrived at 6.30pm and our luggage arrived on one conveyor belt with luggage from 2 other flights, so chaos with people standing 3 deep around the belt. A bit of a scramble to reach your bag! By the time we left the airport we had waited an hour and a half and then it was another hour and a half transfer to our hotel. The dining room was closed but we were left some salad and a bread roll which we ate on our balcony around 9.45pm,all quite adequate. All in all we would recommend this hotel and would return."
Cactus Beach Hotel
"Pro: It is a great hotel with very clean and spacious swimming pools . Common areas are well maintained. No need to reserve sunbeds at 6 am because you can always get one. The staff in the restaurant is very well organized and there is always a free table and not very big queues (in June ) . The food was excellent and lots of variety also very tasty . There were 80% german tourists but everyone spoke English. Quite close to the beach and main road of Stalis. Rooms were spacious and quiet even though we stayed quite close to the entertainment amphitheater. Lots of children and babies so maybe not for young people who want to party. Cons: The Coffee should definitely improve, just from the maschine and not good. Also we reserved the Italian restaurant but not very good to be honest ( only salads, pasta and pizza) . Beach chairs are not included and is a little expensive in my option 18 euros/ pair."
I Resort Beach Hotel & Spa
"Just back from a lovely week at this hotel wouldn’t say it’s a 5 star though. The food is not very hot and could do with more options. We also didn’t agree with the young girl frying the eggs in the morning and using the same spatula to turn the pancakes just thinking of people with allergies and it’s not very hygienic. Also the floor was being mopped at 7.30 when we were entering for breakfast not good as the floor was slippery. It says there are 4 fancy eateries when in fact one is a snack bar converted to an Al a carte in the evening another is a roof top restaurant what you have to pay for another one was not open as it was to hot in there. The rooms are lovely rooms and are always clean not much storage space but you can manage. The night time entertainment was in the main bar very loud and not very entertaining The staff are very friendly and helpful Have stayed in better 4 star hotels"
Smaragdine Beach Hotel
"SUPER location! Friendly owner, clean, quiet. Family-run. Pleasant rooms with a side balcony. Bathroom with a window and a decent size. Includes a refrigerator and free Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi was switched off in the evening. Fresh hand and bath towels three times in just eight nights! Breakfast included fruit, cold cuts, yogurt, two types of bread, jam, honey, olives, and delicious pears and cocktail tomatoes. The coffee was a bit weak for our taste. We weren't expecting much from a two-star hotel, but we were pleasantly surprised. No frills, ideal for relaxation, just lounging on the beach and reading. We are 100% beachgoers!"
Sunshine Studios & Apartments
"We just got home from 2 weeks at Sunshine apartments. Kostas, Manos and all the staff are so friendly, welcoming and helpful. We had a 1 bed apartment in the middle floor and it was lovely and clean. The maid came in every other day and changed the towels if we left them in a pile. We had 2 balconies, a smaller one off the lounge area with a clothes dryer on it and the larger balcony off the bedroom with a table and four chairs was a very good size. The bathroom with shower was a good size and had a hair dryer. We didn't use the kitchen apart from the fridge but also has 2 hobs and plenty of cutlery/plates if needed. The beds are very firm so ideal if you like that! A bit too firm for me but rather that than a collapsed squishy one! The pool is a good size, with plenty of comfortable sunbeds available, some around the pool area and more on a large grass area overlooking the mountains, some sunbeds had cushions on making them extra comfortable. The pool is 1.5 metres all round, but there is a small children's pool attached too. The food at the pool bar is tasty with a good range to suit everyone. The local beer is cold, the fresh orange juice is so refreshing. The greek salad is definately not to be missed! The feta is so creamy and tasty. The onsite toilets below reception were kept very clean. My one and only recommendation to make the apartments complete would be to have a toaster in the room. We are not ones for a big breakfast and to have been able to make some toast as a snack would have been helpful. The apartments are set back from the main strip just a short 2 minute stroll away which makes them lovely and quiet. I can highly recommend Sunshine apartments. A hidden gem!"
Dias Hotel & Apts
"Great communication done by the owners, was emailed the day before asking what time we would land from our flight, and they waited for us to arrive, we were delayed coming in but it wasn’t a problem to them and amazing greeting felt at home the second we got there. Food was lovely, room was lovely and spacious, air con was amazing, cost 10€ a night but was so worth it to get a good night sleep, had timer on air con and all, would recommend and book again. Pool the first week was quiet and easy to get a lounger the second week wasn’t as easy due to more people arriving but you could still get a lounger not a problem, they put more out as it got busier so was always space for everyone."
