Hotels near Taipei City Ximen Market, Taipei

Excellent location. Hotel is right around the corner from MRT station and Ximending night market food and shopping. Hotel room was clean, breakfast was included in our package, and staff were very friendly and helpful. They offer some currency exchange (limited amount each day). They also arranged a taxi to the airport with an English speaking driver for when we checked out and provided us breakfast take-out boxes since we had to leave at 5am for our flight.

We had a fantastic stay at Cityinn Hotel Plus Ximending Branch . The excellent location, friendly staff, and comfortable accommodations made our trip memorable. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area and would love to return in the future.

Excellent location. Lobby is at lvl 6. You'll only needa visit that floor for checkin and checkout. Other than that, lift from ground floor goes straight to your room level. When housekeeping is cleaning the room upstairs, you can hear it from the bathroom and right outside your door. 😅 The major downside is the bathroom entrance. Its leveled at a foot higher than the room. Have my hold-your-breath moments everytime i see my 80yo mum exiting the bath. Oh and bathroom door can't be locked and its translucent tinted glass. So do not stand too near to the door at both the sink and shower if you don't want the people outside to see your naked siluette.

We chose the perfect hotel for our week-long family vacation. The location couldn't be better. It was right across Ximending Night Market. Glad it was just across and not in the middle of the night market. It was a bit chaotic over there. Another good surprise was that Animate (my son's favorite anime merchandise store) was right across (not even 30 steps away, I think) the hotel entrance. It was also convenient to have a 7-11 on the ground floor. Security wasnothing to worry about because you need a keycard to go to the guest room floors. I really liked the design of the hotel. As you can tell from the photos, the design is very chic and modern. I also appreciated the 24h coffee and lounge access. Breakfast was nice too. Wish they served it until 11am. My son, who likes to sleep in, missed breakfast everyday. 😄 The staff was super friendly and helpful. They even took time to Google my questions about some vegetables served at breakfast that I've never seen before. I also commend their housekeeping staff. We turned down their offer for a clean up but they asked if we at least wanted our towels changed (which we did.) Water pressure and temperature was very good. Wish there was more light in the bathrooms, though. Another thing that would've helped was if we each had our own key cards. We were 3 people but only had 2 keys. My son was out with one key so I couldn't go to the laundry room because our other key was in the card slot to have power in the room. Minor inconveniences though but still excellent overall. We are definitely staying here again if we ever come back to Taiwan!

The hotel is situated in an incredibly convenient location, just a stone's throw away from the vibrant Ximending Night Market! Additionally, there are several convenience stores located in close proximity to the hotel, which is incredibly handy for picking up snacks, drinks, or any essentials you might need during your stay. When it comes to breakfast, I found that the offerings were quite repetitive, with the same items served each day. If you're someone who enjoys variety in your morning meals, you might want to consider skipping the buffet altogether and exploring some of the local breakfast options available nearby. There are plenty of cafes and eateries in the area that can provide a more diverse and enjoyable dining experience. On another note, I did have some interactions with the staff at Takao Restaurant, and I must say that they weren't particularly warm or welcoming. The service felt a bit lacking, especially from an older lady who seemed to create quite a scene when handling the plates. This could detract from the overall dining experience, so it might be worth considering other dining options if you're looking for a more pleasant atmosphere.

Fun Inn Taipei is located near the Ximending Shopping District. It is close to everything, most especially the Ximending night market and MRT stations. Overall, our stay has been great. The staff were very accommodating too. This place is highly recommended. Thank you very much!

I had a pleasant solo stay here. The room was comfortable and the staff were friendly, making for a peaceful and enjoyable experience. Highly recommend.

Good location near Taipei Station but no window in the room so you can't tell is day or night and the toilet is translucent glass so will be problem for friend or colleagues if share room. Toilet don't have shelve to place toiletries and no mirror in the room for dress up.

I’ve been wanting to stay at this hotel for a long time and I finally had the chance during my trip to Taiwan. The hotel is convenient located near the Taipei Main Station and bus station and the MRT station. Hence is extremely convenient to get around. The room I got was quite spacious and clean. I believe it has been refurbished as the interior looks new. It is equipped with a smart tv so I could stream videos on YouTube all day long. The only disappoin**ent was that I did not get the room with the view of the Taipei Main station. The hotel staff were very friendly too. Amenities wise, there is no shortage of f&b establishments located near the hotel and most of them are very good. This hotel is one of the more affordable 5 star hotels in this area. Hence it’s a no brainer to pick this hotel over the rest. Overall, I’ve had a pleasant stay here I will definitely return to this hotel for my future trips.

Overall, my one day stay at the Caesar Metro in Taipei was pleasant. The rooms were clean, though we were in a room with very little natural light. The room amenities were fine and in good working order. The beds were comfortable. The hotel amenities were nice, especially the pool. The small is on the smaller side, but it’s clean and has a lifeguard on duties. My only frustration came from checking in. Check in was all through a kiosk, but unfortunately it did not work properly for most of the guest, including myself. When the kiosk told me to go to the front desk, the front desk told me to go back and try again (possibly not understanding the problem). I had to wait in line for the kiosk (and watch other guest struggle), only for the kiosk to the say the same thing. This time I made it a point to tell them my displeasure and they checked me in manually. Frustrating that it had to get to that point, as soon as a guest comes with a problem, they should manually handle it.
