"It's normal to be threatened with pepper spray by another guest, tell the manager to not do anything, and we feel very unsafe here, not recommending. The fact that you are threatened and nothing is done with it by the staff is unacceptable."

"We received a warm welcome and had booked two queen-size and one king-size, the latter with a river view. You really had to look very closely to see even a bit of the river. The room was also quite a bit smaller than the queen-size and had sloping walls, meaning you had to be careful, especially in the dark. Unfortunately, there was no coffee in the room, but the breakfast was fine. The city center is within walking distance, making it a great base. It was disappointing, however, that our rooms hadn't been cleaned after we returned from the city. No clean towels was the least pleasant problem, but fortunately, the reception was kind enough to provide them."

"Very nice front desk staff gave restaurant recommendations and advice on transport. Updated bathroom was a pleasant surprise. It’s a bit of a walk on cobblestone paths if you arrive by bus or train, so keep that in mind when travelling with a heavy suitcase or multiple bags. Some rooms are accessed via a small flight of stairs and have windows that open out to a noisy alley."

"Very good. Located a little outside of the center, but with its own brewery and its own good (and very popular) restaurant. I managed to somehow get an extraordinary deal which included a 3-course-dinner with matching beers so I was very happy. Very good breakfast. Room is slightly old fashioned, but clean and fully functional. The only thing missing is perhaps A/C. The green option is a nice touch. Free beer instead of daily cleaning. Good for everyone. :) I would happily stay here again should I visit Trier again."
