"We stayed for one night in three rooms including the Presidential Suite, basically overnighting post safari and pre Rovos Rail journey in the morning. Great customer service. Delightful hotel. Rooms were exquisite. I had a shower malfunction that soaked the bathroom floor, somewhat user error but watch out for it! We arranged for some bags to be shipped there in advance which worked perfectly. Dinner was great, included in the package, nice location outside. Both adult children said this was the best food! Would recommend this hotel if staying in Pretoria. Next time will stay more than one night!"

"From the arrival I had an amazing experience from welcoming to being pleasantly surprised and mesmerised by the beauty of the old vintage building. The room small but cozy. It has everything I needed for an overnight stay. What would have been ideal would to have the WiFi details as part of the welcome back but instead I had to request it. All that said, each time I stepped foot in the dining hall for supper or breakfast the experience changed for the worse. Although greeted with an amazing chandelier and a very beautiful garden, the hosting staff are clearly inexperienced. I had a pretty much a half a plate of food for R300 as the person did not offer a A La Carte menu even when asked so I had to join the buffet line which in itself was lacking. As I was not booked for supper included in my stay I had to pay the exorbitant amount for barely a plate. When I confronted they said I could have used the A La Carte menu. For breakfast I was first in line and had to wait over 5 min for the hot station staff member to arrive. When I placed my order of 2 over easy eggs, I was told to have a seat they’ll bring it. Over 20min later where several others have received their complex omelettes, I was yet to receive my 2 simple eggs. In the meantime my prepped toast has gone cold and tough. As the title says, all is good but the dining area."

"Something about the bathroom extraction didn't seem right, we experienced a similar issue at 2 of their sister hotels. The Air conditioner worked quite efficiently though. The bathroom tap spray head faucet thingy is a bit like a pressure washer, it sprays water all over the face, clothes and surfaces, NOT A BRIGHT IDEA. Other than that the rooms were big enough, clean, well decorated, the bed and pillows were comfortable, the food was good and the parking was quite secure. We would certainly stay here again."
