"Room was clean and the bed was comfortable, but it was like sleeping in a hotbox. We had to open all the windows to shower and pack to get some breeze but then you must deal with no privacy, no security and the sun beating in with the drapes open. There is a public terrace that went past our room. The room was only made up for 1 person. One bath towel, one robe and one pair of slippers. The receptionist brought the extra amenities upon request. The safe was locked upon arrival but too late to worry about getting it unlocked. The secure underground car park was convenient with an elevator to all floors. We do not recommend the hotel because the air conditioning is so bad. "

The Brukenthal Palace is located in a quiet area in Avrig, Sibiu, surrounded by a vast garden that enhances the tranquility of the place while also adding to its beauty. The garden itself is an oasis of serenity, perfect for a picnic with loved ones or a solitary walk to reconnect with nature, making it easy to forget that you’re actually in a rather crowded city. I had the luck to see the Palace prepared for a wedding that was about to happen and it was ravishing, the perfect venue for a refined party. I also enjoyed the location's new pool, that is well cleaned and beautifully decorated, situated very close to the Palaces area. It’s a place you’ll surely fall in love with!"

"A hotel that doesn't even deserve 2 stars. I arrived at Hotel Simfonia around 10 pm, I received a room, and in the room I left only my bag with clothes. I went to park in the underground parking of the hotel, which is extremely inappropriate, and I scratched my car, the entrance is very tight and the parking lot is occupied by construction materials. Then I went up to eat at the hotel restaurant, where I managed to eat only an appetizer, without being told that after 10.30 pm you can no longer order food. Considering that all these aspects are not specific to a 4-star hotel, I decided to leave. On leaving, even though I hadn't used the room, I scratched my car due to the lack of parking conditions, I had eaten as much as I could at the hotel restaurant, I was charged 315 lei, being told that these were their conditions and that if I didn't pay, I wouldn't I open the garage door, conditions in which I paid the requested amount !!!!!!! I chose another hotel, the Ramada, where I stayed, slept and paid for the accommodation. In conclusion, the amount paid to Simfonia was for a service not rendered and as a result of "blackmail" - they won't open your garage door if you don't pay - which is not legal and of course should not be found in the behavior of people who works in HORECA. I would also add the fact that the elevator is extremely small and frequently gets stuck between floors, when I left the table from restaurant I was asked by 2 ladies to help them to take a baby carriage down the stairs."

For myself I would say that if you are interested for a great family time close to Sibiu but now to close while having also all the amenities of a great hotel, and if you're also interested in have a close to kingship experience it's a must try. In conclusion feel free to try it for a small morcel of Romanian history and architecture."
