"The rooms are quite new for this local island; the owner said it only opened in May of this year. The main advantage is that every room has a sea view. We compared many hotels on the island before choosing this one, and we were very satisfied with our stay. They even have Chinese food available, and you can sign up for water excursions through the owner at a reasonable price of $90 USD per person for three activities. There's a 1-on-2 dive guide, and since we're not great swimmers, we needed to be pulled along the whole time – they were very responsible. We also signed up for a trial dive; their hotel is a PADI dive shop with Chinese-speaking instructors, and we took many photos. Overall, we were very satisfied."

"I spent over a week at this incredible little hotel on Ukulhas Island with a group of 15 others. Our double rooms were spacious, spotlessly clean, and had everything you need (from a refrigerator to fresh water, shampoo, and a hairdryer in the bathroom). They provide daily housekeeping, and you can use the laundry service and, of course, book excursions and activities at reception. The hotel adjoins the spa, where you can find a wide selection of fantastic massages! The buffet breakfast is varied and delicious, both savory and sweet. A special mention goes to the pancakes with Nutella! In front of it is the most beautiful beach, with comfortable free sunbeds. We also celebrated December 31st here, and they threw a small beach party with music, setting a "Bye Bye 2025" sign on the beach to say goodbye to the old year and welcome the new one. A special mention goes to all the staff, especially the girls at Nala, who met our every need, always with professionalism and a smile! We'll be back!"

"The hotel is beachfront, just a stone's throw from the beach. The staff are very friendly, the room is clean, and they clean and change towels daily. I had breakfast and dinner included – everything was delicious. For main courses, there was a choice of tuna or chicken, plus sides like rice, potatoes, noodles, vegetables, and desserts. Breakfast was a buffet with a very tasty local snack called Mas Huni, which you spread on flatbreads. Dinner wasn't always a buffet; sometimes they would just tell you what was available and you'd choose what you wanted to eat. Ukulhas Island is magnificent, offering the best snorkeling among all the local islands!"

"Fantastic place with first class bed and linens etc. We loved our stay at Ukulhas Sands! The bed was a dream. The best one in Asia! The spacious room was sparkling clean (by the ever helpful Saeed) and really well decorated. The WIFI was fast and you could get Netflix and YouTube etc. The air conditioner worked really well and there is hot water in the modern bathroom. Everything was brand new and designed to give the guest the best experience possible. Our room was on the 2nd floor and even though there was construction across from the hotel, we never heard any noise. The owner Saeed, is super kind and extremely helpful. I realized a day after we checked out that I was missing my diamond ring. I texted him about the lost ring and miraculously he found it by the safe! Since we will be back in Male before our flight back to the US, he kindly arranged for the ring to be returned to me at our Male hotel. I am beyond grateful that he searched our old room twice and found it! It is my wedding ring and the sentimental value is irreplaceable since I designed it and had it made in Bangkok with a jeweler back in 1994. I also highly recommend Reef Rangers Ukulhas for your diving company. They are excellent and you will get a discount when you mention that you are staying at Ukulhas Sands. The dive company is conveniently located about a 2 minute walk away. The beaches for watching the sunrise and sunset are also only a few minutes walk. The harbor where we got on our dive boat was only about 4 minutes away. Be sure to stop by Celeste Cafe for coffee and delicious cinnamon rolls. They are located in front of the harbor. We loved our stay at Ukulhas Sands and will definitely be back!"

"Our stay in Sea la Vie exceeded our expectations! The place is very well decorated from the inside out, the rooms are spacious and sparkling clean and the staff is very friendly, efficient and always willing to help you with anything you need with a big smile☺️. Breakfast is delicious (try the maldivian options!), not to mention the coffee, the best in town! The location is perfect, just minutes walking from the beach, you can go to the east or west beach to watch the sunrise or sunset🌞, both are just a couple of minutes walking. "nice local guesthouse right by the beach with clean, simple rooms. The staircase to the upper floor is steep, but our luggage was brought up and collected for us. Breakfast and meals with tables on the beach were very tasty. Mosquitoes were present, which is normal, but spray was available everywhere. The island itself is under construction, with building work ongoing, but the locals are very friendly. The best fruits — papayas, mangoes, watermelons, and mandarins with their own floral flavor — we had on Ukulhas."

"Excellent hotel! It has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The staff are incredibly friendly and always ready to help with any request. It's clear they put a lot of effort into making guests happy, and they do a fantastic job. We stayed for 3 days, and the room was cleaned daily. We opted for the full-board meal plan. Breakfast was a buffet with additional options for various egg dishes cooked to order. Lunch and dinner were à la carte at the restaurant, with two main course choices. The portions were huge, almost too much, and we often couldn't finish everything. Regarding the food, some dishes we really liked, others less so. I wouldn't say it was gourmet, but for someone not overly particular, it's perfectly acceptable, and you certainly won't go hungry. The best part is that the hotel is literally no more than 10 meters from the beach, which is amazing! There are plenty of sun loungers, beach towels are always available, and you can also choose from masks and fins. We loved this section of the beach the most. Thanks to the hotel for a wonderful time!"

"We had to change hotels at the last minute due to an unexpected issue, and I was so pleasantly surprised by this place. Even though we arrived very late, the staff greeted us warmly and made us feel immediately welcome. Our room was modern, well-equipped, and spotless. The floors were mopped daily, not just swept, which made the stay even more comfortable. Despite the late arrival, the staff asked about our breakfast preferences for the next morning. The breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of options to choose from. The staff was incredibly friendly, helpful, and attentive. They even assisted us with our speedboat transfer and helped organize our onward journey. The hotel has modern facilities, and every detail of our stay was positive. I highly recommend it!"

"An absolutely dreamlike island. This was our third time here, and once again we were completely thrilled. The island is a dream. Peaceful, with a beautiful (house) reef right off the beach (only 10 meters away), allowing you to explore the enchanting, colorful fish, turtles, and reef sharks while snorkeling. The only downside is the construction of three hotels, which has somewhat diminished the island's original charm. We hope that Ukulhas doesn't succumb to tourism. Fazeel and his staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. The accommodation is spotlessly clean and still quite affordable. We wholeheartedly recommend Sea La Vie!
