"I would give the location 5 stars because it is so closed to the old town. Just a walk down the stairs and across the street to get to the entrance of the walled old town. There are no hotels inside the walled old town so this is why we chose the Maison de la Garenne. The host and breakfast staff were very nice. The room we had upstairs was large and had a very large bathroom. The pool was closed up (we weren't planning to use it) but grounds did not look as beautiful as the website photo. I understand it was the time of the year. I found the common room and grounds looked more like a daycare center during our visit. We loved Vannes and the walled old fort is beautiful. Please make sure you visit their large Farmers Market if you are here on a Wed or Sat. It was one of the best farmers market I have been to in France."

"This hotel is just off the motorway, free parking. On entering the hotel is clean and staff friendly. Rooms tired , basic they need an upgrade. 1.5 miles to walk to the city. I wouldn’t use this hotel as it’s too far out. Great area to explore nearby though by car."

"Very warm welcome. The apartment is large with one bedroom, everything is very well maintained and very functional. The hotel is 5 years old but it looks like it's new. Large bed. Beautiful view of the countryside. Top bathroom. Professional and welcoming staff. 2 large TVs, one in each room. Quality tableware. Free access to the spa and swimming pool. A place to remember."

"Aparthotel correct. Mauvaise isolation phonique (bruit de la route et voisins du dessus), on nous attribué pour 4 nuits, un appartement au rez-de-chaussée alors que j'avais demandé un appartement à l'étage supérieur et 1 parking. Mes demandes n'avaient pas été lues. Heureusement un parking était disponible. Il y avait des appartements disponibles aux étages supérieurs et j'ai demandé un changement qui nous a été refusé au motif: pas de surclassement possible. Pour ces raisons, nous ne sommes pas satisfaits. Ce geste commercial n'aurait pas ruiné Best Western."
