"Communication was good and very friendly and helpful. Loadshedding schedules were sent to us which was a great plus. Not many places do this. Cleaners were also very friendly. We were however dissappointed in the accommodation itself. Maybe for R500/R600 per night it would be fine. But for almost R1000 a night it is overpriced. I understand a rustic and farm look but everything was very patchwork and uneven. The microwave and oven had a funny smell. We are not difficult but do feel that the "chalet" is overpriced- especizlly when comparing to other accommodation close by."

The accommodation was of an extremely high quality, every detail thought through. The drives were exciting and very informative, we were in safe hands. We were welcomed back to the Lodge with a lovely dinner or a bountiful breakfast. All of the staff were welcoming. I will be going back with family and friends. I can’t fault anything."

"Exquisite location with such friendly staff that stand at the ready to help and cater to every whim. Booking a regular room is recommended as the larger room has a door which borders the main guest area. As such, it is extremely noisy. This room also looks out on the main patio with no inner curtains with the result that there’s no privacy. A regular room offers the same level of comfort, but with added privacy on the deck area and its further away from the main guest area which offers peace and quiet. All rooms look out onto a beautiful valley with proverbial four poster beds shaped as elephant tusks. The only negative were the old, lumpy pillows, which need urgent replacement. The chef cooks traditional African meals which were delicious, but for this type of venue, needs perhaps a bit more finesse in terms of having better options for a continental breakfast and enquiring with guests as to how they would prefer their meat cooked beforehand. A word of warning to coffee lovers, there’s only instant coffee, so better go and enjoy the hospitality armed with your own!"
