"The hotel was lovely, my room clean and all amenities. The problem was drunk or **** fuelled couples arguing from when we arrived at 3pm. Arguing again at 2am and again when I left at 5am!!! Police attended each time and 2 police cars still there when I left! I think they may put up homeless people who may have drink/**** problems? Hopefully it was a one off but the price was excellent and would visit again"

"Jackie and Will made us welcome from the minute we arrived . Prompt service, friendly and polite. The hotel was clean and the room well appointed . A short walk to town. Parking close to the hotel ( some parking in the hotel car park) . Vegetarian food on the menu. Lovely comfy bed , spacious room . Close to the road but no traffic noise . I hope to return soon. Jackie and Will are exactly how all front of house staff should be ....... Brilliant & thank you guys"

"Do not stay here. We are two women who wanted a safe space to stay in Wigan. Instead, when we had booked an ensuite, we were allocated a "private bathroom". This meant you had to leave the safety of your room to enter a corridor to enter a code to access the toilet. We left and booked a new room in the Premier Inn. Similar in price and a lot safer. Having contacted the owner we were met with a deeply unpleasant response that was rather misogynistic and offered no refund, unsurprisingly. Please, if you are a woman, do not book here."

"We chose this hotel mainly because of its proximity to a wedding venue we were attending. All but one plug sockets were hidden behind a corner sofa which two of us had to drag out. No plug socket within 15 feet of the tea making station so had to set it on the floor. Then at about 11 at night when the pub down stairs closed the person on lock up flipped off the mains electricity. Nobody there when we went down. So spent the night and morning unable to shower ,no cup of tea,not able to use hair straighteners etc. we’re out early in the morning. Next night same story. Dangerous and disgusting behaviour. Would not return if it was free."
