Travelodge Woking Central

Travelodge Woking Central ★★★

📍 Oriental Rd, Woking

"Extremely disappointing stay. I booked and paid for a hotel, but it felt more like a hostel. The hotel appears to be used by the council for temporary accommodation, which completely changed the atmosphere from what I expected when making my booking. There were people hanging around the hotel at all hours, there was frequent noise, and I didn’t feel comfortable during my stay. I have no issue with people needing accommodation, but if a hotel is being used in this way, I think guests should be made aware before booking so they can make an informed decision. To make matters worse, the hotel doesn’t have air conditioning despite it being the middle of summer. Instead of proper climate control, there was just a small fan placed on the desk, which did very little to cool the room. Sleeping was uncomfortable because the room was so warm. For the price I paid, I expected a clean, quiet, and comfortable hotel. Instead, I left feeling like I’d paid hotel prices for an experience that felt more like a hostel. I won’t be staying here again or any travelodge for that matter and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful night’s stay. If 0 bubbles were an option, that is what I would have given. Unfortunately, 1 bubble is the lowest rating available on Tripadvisor."

📍 Church Street West, Woking

"The place is spacious and cozy, with a modern design. The bathroom is quite large and includes a handrail next to the toilet, which is very suitable for elderly residents who need assistance. The bedroom is equipped with several call bells that allow residents to easily seek help from staff if they feel unwell — a thoughtful feature for the elderly. The bed is soft."

📍 High St, The Green, Ripley, Woking

"Cleanliness was spot on . But , the ventilation wasn’t sufficient as the heatwaves were harsh . Overall , a solid stay . Loved it . However , as stated earlier ventilation facilities can be improved in the near future . Much thanks ."

Travelodge Woking Central ★★★
"Definitely not cheap and cheerful. We stayed here for our sons pass off parade near by, ive stayed in a few travel lodges, so I know they are basic, but this one was the worst. The lift from the carpark was filthy and sticky and the buttons didnt work, we had cases to bring up, so needed to use it. The walls were covered in chipped paint ( blue walls with white underneath) bathroom wasnt great either with an old style sauce bottle as a hand soap dispenser, blinds didnt cover the full window, so alot of day light coming in. The shower was good and powerful, towels were a good size too. Breakfast wasnt great for the price. Beds were clean and comfy( well needed after an 8hr drive from scotland) no air-conditioning, but a fan in the room. We didnt drink at the bar, as in this weather the heat inside was too much. For a budget hotel £125 wasnt cheap for the room. Plus breakfast was additional and had to also pay for parking. £6.50 for the night."

"Location wise is remarkable - short distance to train station and right behind the mall and market. Room was very clean and tidy with a view. Overall, I would definitely recommend and even book myself again in the future!"

Premier Inn Woking Town Centre ★★★
"Had a great 2 night stay at this Premier Inn whilst going to Wimbledon to watch the tennis. The hotel is only a few minutes from Woking station and an easy walk, ideal for a trip up from the South West. I had previously been in touch to request a quiet room and I could not have asked for better, there was no noise at night at all and no traffic noise either, fab! We had excellent service from both Gilson and Krish…., Gilson on arrival and when we had a meal one evening…..and Krish who cooked some lovely eggs at breakfast. Thank you to you both. Indeed all the staff we spoke to were great and a credit to the company. Without doubt we will stay again when next in the area and have already recommended the hotel to others. Thanks for a great stay."

"Lovely hotel, the location is great as it is a few minutes away from the shopping centre. Me and my husband came for a weekend away and we loved that we could just walk to the shops. The kfc and McDonald’s is a few minutes away too. The room itself was nice, it had the usual stuff, iron, tea and coffee etc. The bathtub was super small, if you are plus size, you will struggle to lay in the bath but it’s not a big problem. The staff were very friendly, we even got given a cookie upon arrival and they kindly gave us a complimentary 1 hour free extra time for check out (we paid £20 for the rest of the hours). Overall a lovely hotel."

"Try not to arrive when the adjacent school is going in or coming out as the traffic is busy. Nice enough pub next door for meals but doesn’t open until later."
