Hotels in Dongguan Grand Mosque/Lower Nanguan Street, Xining

I had a truly great stay here, largely thanks to the incredible staff. The hotel is located in a fantastic spot - very close to the Dongguan Grand Mosque and Xia Nanguan Street, which is perfect for food shopping and enjoying nighttime street food. The design of the hotel has a nice vintage charm to it—nothing overly flashy, but it's very clean and comfortable, and I had no complaints at all. They also offer private parking, which is really convenient if you're renting a car. What really made my stay special was the service. The staff went above and beyond for me. I was struggling with bad altitude sickness, and without me even saying a word, the front desk team noticed how I was feeling and kindly sent medicine, yogurt, and an oxygen canister to my room. That kind of care means so much. Later that night, my room was a bit too warm, and even though it was late, the night staff happily helped me switch rooms. I’m so grateful. A special thank you to Ms. Ma Ping for all her help and kindness. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Xining—you'll be in good hands here. 我在这家酒店住得非常愉快，最主要的原因是这里的服务人员实在太棒了。酒店的位置很好，离东关大清真寺和下南关街都很近，那边非常适合买吃的，晚上也有热闹的街头小吃。酒店的设计带点复古的怀旧风格，不是那种很浮夸的类型，但非常干净舒适，我完全没有任何不满意的地方。酒店还有自己的私人停车场，对于自驾的客人来说非常方便。真正让这次住宿变得特别的是他们的服务。我当时高原反应挺严重的，结果完全不用我开口，前台的工作人员看到我的状况后，主动送来了药、酸奶和一瓶氧气到我的房间。这种细心和关怀真的让人很感动。晚上我的房间有点太暖，尽管已经很晚了，夜班的工作人员还是很乐意帮我换了房间，我真的很感激。特别感谢马平女士对我所有的帮助。我一定会把这家酒店推荐给要来西宁的旅客 - 你们在这里一定会被好好照顾的。

Great experience! The two ladies of the staff have been extremely nice. They helped us in every way they could. The hostel has amazing shared spaces, plenty of sunlight and plants (+ three cute birds!). The room has what you need, simple and neat. We liked our stay very much :)

The hotel is near Mojia Street, and it's a 15-minute walk to Xiaguan Night Market! Breakfast was incredibly rich and varied! It's a shame they are so strict about the start time though. The door was locked until opening, so we had to stand outside and wait. We even missed breakfast on the first day because of this and had to leave hungry. It would be much better if they offered packed breakfasts for guests going on early day trips or catching early flights!

This was the last stop on our Northwest trip, and we booked a family room. When checking in, I asked if we could get an upgrade, but the front desk staff said no. Since we were staying two nights, I then asked if breakfast could be included, but the front desk again flatly refused. Honestly, it's not a big deal if breakfast isn't included; I can afford a breakfast that costs a few dozen yuan. But that cold, formulaic service attitude was really off-putting. Well, after apparently offending the front desk, I was assigned a 'great' room where the shower drain was blocked, causing water to pool up to my ankles (I have pictures to prove it). It was already past 10 PM, and I didn't want to bother the staff, so I just figured I'd ask them to send someone to fix it tomorrow. But then, after my shower, the air conditioner stopped cooling, and it was very late by the time it started working again. What was even more frustrating happened the next morning: around 8 AM, the cleaning lady knocked on our door, asking us to put out our trash for her to take. Seriously? This was the only day of our entire trip we could sleep in, and it was completely ruined. I was so frustrated. To be fair, besides that one front desk staff member, the other service staff were quite nice, and they even gave my child a souvenir when we checked out. But overall, this stay was absolutely terrible.

The hotel service was impeccable, with great attention to detail. This included the way glasses were carefully handed and held, the thoughtful recommendations, the staff’s soft and calm tone of voice, the complimentary homemade and delicious yogurt offered every afternoon, and the genuine effort to overcome the language barrier. As an opportunity for improvement, I would suggest offering more low-fat or fat-free options at breakfast and in the restaurant. I would definitely return and recommend this hotel without hesitation. 酒店的服务非常周到、细致，令人印象深刻。 无论是递送和拿放杯子的细节、贴心的推荐、温和柔和的说话语气，还是每天下午赠送的自制美味酸奶，以及工作人员为克服语言障碍所付出的努力，都体现了很高的服务水准。 作为改进建议，希望早餐和餐厅能增加一些低脂或无脂的选择。 我一定会再次入住，并毫不犹豫地推荐这家酒店。

Location is close to many eating places and dong guan mosque which is good. However, the bed and pillows were too hard for a comfortable rest. Toilet towels provided were all disposable, which was different from the photos. Room was smaller than what the photos were showing. For a non-smoking room, it sure smelt of cigarettes alot. This was because of weak enforcement of the no smoking rule. Other hotel guests were smoking in the corridors.

The location was excellent, situated right next to the Bell Tower. The receptionist was friendly and helpful, making the check-in process smooth. The bed was comfortable, and the room temperature was well regulated, which was perfect for the winter weather. There is also an open-concept common area ideal for relaxing and unwinding. The toilets were generally clean, although a few fixtures were faulty. Overall, it is a highly recommended place to stay.

My stay at Qinghai Kaiyuan Grand Hotel in Xining completely exceeded my expectations. Every moment, from check-in to check-out, was incredibly comfortable and pleasant. I absolutely have to sing its praises! First off, the service was exceptionally warm and attentive, making the entire experience fantastic. As soon as I arrived, a doorman proactively helped me with my luggage and directed me to the Sky Lobby on the 21st floor. Check-in was super efficient, and they even thoughtfully recognized my member status and upgraded my room for free, along with complimentary fresh welcome fruit. The 24-hour front desk was always responsive to my needs; whether I needed directions or extra items, they were quick to assist. The staff were friendly and professional in every detail, adding a touch of warmth to my trip. Secondly, the facilities were comprehensive and high-end, ensuring a very comfortable stay. The design of the Sky Lobby was simply stunning, blending Chinese style with panoramic views. In the evening, I even caught a breathtaking sunset – perfect for photos! My room was spacious and bright, with a well-designed layout covering over 50 square meters. It featured a soft sofa, a large desk, and even a humidifier to combat the dry climate in the Northwest, which was a very thoughtful touch. The guest rooms were fully intelligent, with features like sensor lighting and electric blackout curtains adding a futuristic feel. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area and a bathtub, and the toiletries were high-quality. The King Koil mattress provided an amazing sleep experience. The hotel also boasts a free gym, a table tennis room, a book bar, and a tea room – perfect for either exercise and relaxation or quiet reading. The amenities truly cater to various needs. What truly surprised me was the breakfast – it was abundant and unique. Served at the buffet restaurant on the 5th floor, it covered everything from Chinese and Western to Halal cuisine, with an incredibly wide variety. There was freshly prepared Lanzhou beef noodles, authentic Halal 'Sazi Mahua' (fried dough twists), and other local specialties, along with hot dishes, cold dishes, congee, bread, seasonal fruits, and excellent freshly ground coffee and squeezed juices. I particularly recommend the hotel's yogurt; its rich and creamy texture was delicious with grains or fruit. The dining area was spacious and clean, with plenty of seating, so there was no need to wait in line – a perfect start to an energetic day. Additionally, the hotel's location is superb. It's right next to Xining Railway Station, just a few minutes' walk away. Within a 1-kilometer radius, there's a night market, large shopping malls, and the distinctive Mojia Street pedestrian area. It's also close to the Dongguan Great Mosque and the Huangshui River, making it incredibly convenient for getting around and finding food. The free public parking also eased any concerns for those traveling by car. It offers incredible value for money. In summary, Xining Qinghai Kaiyuan Grand Hotel excelled in every aspect, including service, facilities, and dining. It's perfectly suited for both business trips and leisure travel. I will definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Xining and highly recommend it to everyone!

It is very close to the two night markets. Daxin Street is the closest. We originally booked it far away. My husband just saw this hotel here for charging. The video showed me. It was a surprise to come back after shopping at night. The child liked it very much. It was the most satisfying one of our entire Xinjiang trip. The design of the house is novel, the sanitation is spotless, and the Daxin Street Night Market is the door. If you don’t want to return, you must continue for one day.

Great location with many restaurants and shops in the vicinity. Walking distance to Mojia Street and Daxin Night Market and Dongguan Mosque. We like the olden vibe and ambiance of the rooms, toilets are clean. Breakfast is simple but adequate with friendly staff. Also allows guests to try on Hanfu dresses both for men and women for free. Only thing is hotel lobby has no proper toilet, with the only toilet inside the store room which is usually locked.
