"Superb setting on the banks of the Casamance river. Here you can escape immersed between the water of the river and the magnificent wooded garden. The sweetness of Casamance life. Our 2 connecting rooms were very good, and the hotel service was very professional and friendly. On the restaurant side, the service is more appropriate depending on the people who take care of you. The grilled chicken and shrimp skewers were very good but what a slow service, even though we were only 2 tables in total for 3 or 4 servers!!! We spent two hours at the table for a main course and a dessert! You must therefore let yourself be carried away by the flow of the river and forget time, like the waiters forget you."

"The rooms are clearly in need of renovation. There was either some (intermittent or very little) or no (running) water. This was supposedly the fault of the water company, but it later turned out that they do have a water tank, but it's running dry due to a problem. At the very least, make sure there's a water supply for your guests. As is the case everywhere in Gambia, this could be a bucket of water for a bucket shower. Waiting for guests to report the (known) problem is not customer-friendly. The dinner we ordered was initially unavailable, but later it was, but it was undercooked and tasteless. The location is beautiful, the staff friendly, but the rooms are disappointing. The price-quality ratio is below par."

The accommodation is great, the location is stunning, food is lovely but it’s the staff who make it such a great place. They are friendly, attentive and just looked out for us in general. "Looks like Chernobyl. Abandoned and overgrown by the bush. Interesting for wildlife, though: I spotted a 1-meter-long giant lizard there. Faded glory. If you want to visit the site, it's best to bring pruning shears or a machete to clear a path through the thorny bushes."
