Drive directly from London Airport to the hotel. The hotel is located in a residential area. The appearance is a submit-detached house. When we arrived, there was a large truck of renovation garbage at the doorway of the yard, which looked a bit messy. Entering the room was still very tidy. It should have just been renovated and looked relatively new and clean. The house is of course an old house with a certain history. The heating and sockets are a bit old. The sockets are arranged near the baseboards of the house, which makes charging awkward. Now everyone has so many electronic devices, it is recommended that the store provide more charging sockets. We booked a family room. The room is large enough. On the ground floor, there is a floor-to-ceiling window leading to the back yard. In summer, there should be a small inner yard with a table for leisure, but we arrived in winter and the yard was not decorated. Breakfast was arranged in a small restaurant in the sun room. The food is relatively rich and the environment is warm. You can communicate with other travelers. The manager and waiter are also very enthusiastic and can do their best to help the guests. The transportation is not bad. We basically walk to the central area, which takes about 20 to 25 minutes. The advantage is that you don’t have to find a place to park, and you can also see the small colleges on both sides along the way. There are not many places to eat around, but there is a small bar about 15 minutes' walk away, which has 1 Michelin star. It is a little expensive, but the food is delicious and the atmosphere is good. Students in the school are discussing business plans, which is a very university atmosphere. You can park on the roadside in front of the hotel, which is convenient. The manager let us park in the small parking lot of the hotel, which makes us feel at home. The small hotel is free and warm, and you can enter and exit with a password at night. Overall, I am quite satisfied. The next two pictures are of the small bar, and the last picture is Zixia on the road at dusk.

This hotel completely exceeded my expectations and was the best value-for-money hotel I stayed at during my trip to the UK. Although it's not in the city center, it's incredibly convenient – just a 10-minute bus ride on the number 6 from downtown directly to the hotel. It's a large resort, perfect for those traveling by car. The hotel itself is beautiful, allowing us to experience the scenic British countryside while exploring Oxford.

Lovely hotel in Banbury town with lots of original period features, very comfortable and close to many restaurant options. Also a great base to explore the Cotswolds. The entrance to the car park is extremely narrow so be careful when entering and leaving!

Staying in hotels in the UK, especially during summer, it's a real gamble whether you'll get decent air conditioning and a working elevator. On this trip, I've stayed at numerous hotels, various brands – all chosen for their good value for money, naturally! Our first stop, the Kensington Palace Hotel, initially gave us a room with problems, and the following day, our new room lacked air conditioning. Then at the Holiday Inn Cambridge, the lobby felt really impressive, but to my surprise, the AC was broken. The room was stuffy and hot, so we had to escape to the lobby for a beer. Luckily, London nights were quite cool, even getting a bit chilly in the early hours. It wasn't until we arrived at the Cotswolds Hotel & Spa. Although it also lacked AC, it had a balcony. We could just leave the door open, and since UK temperatures aren't actually that high, the room stayed cool, especially with the balcony door open to let in the breeze! And while there wasn't a regular elevator, there was a mobility lift that went up to the second floor. Unfortunately, we were on the third, so we still had to climb. Despite these minor quirks, this hotel was by far our favorite on the trip. The room was incredibly spacious, featuring a large bed, a smaller bed, and even a sofa bed. The balcony overlooked a lovely green expanse. Our family spent time on the balcony playing cards, so much so that we almost didn't want to go out sightseeing! I also want to give a big shout-out to Trip.com. Their service was truly exceptional throughout my journey. I lost count of how many times I called them, and without fail, they resolved every single one of my issues. Definitely a huge thumbs up! 👍👍👍

Everything was okay with the facilities. The terrible downside was the disgusting view outside the window. When I went back to the front desk to ask for a room change, without even looking at the computer screen, they immediately told me they were fully fully booked. When brushing my teeth and washing my face, looking at such a scene, I got the illusion that I was getting dirtier and dirtier. Totally unacceptable. There was also liquid left in the kettle, clearly not cleaned.

The hotel is on a bus route do is easy to get to from the train station and the centre of Oxford. The rooms are very small but you have all you need, a clean bed, a very comfortable mattress, WiFi, TV and bath towels. The got water to our shower was extremely hot and we couldn't make it cooler, but the receptionist will look into that. The room was very clean apart from where one of the beds touches the wall, there is a lot of dust on the floor under there. But the bathroom was very clean.

Booked for two nights while visiting Oxford, Woodstock and Blenheim Palace. The accommodation and location fitted the bill perfectly. Although out of Oxford we had good good routes to all our destinations and the Park and Rides were beneficial. Accommodation as expected - good standard. Dined there one evening - food good and well presented. All staff we encountered were: pleasant, friendly and helpful. Recommended - would book again.

What a beautiful hotel. The hotel was full of character which we adored. The rooms were a delight, lovely decor and exceptionally clean. We hadn’t booked for dinner but the manager was very accommodating and got us in the restaurant. The evening meal was delicious and the breakfast included in our stay was also delicious. We would definitely return. A much needed child free night! Thank you

Nestled in the suburbs, the hotel offers a wonderfully peaceful atmosphere, truly feeling like a tranquil escape. We really appreciated having a Chinese-speaking staff member at the front desk, which made us feel incredibly welcome. The bed in our room felt like two twin beds joined together, and it was certainly spacious enough. The sofa in the room can be converted into a sofa bed (just a heads-up: not all rooms have these, so be sure to confirm upon check-in).

KKar Yee AvaLove the supermarket right next to the hotel and there is public bus outside the hotel to go to city center. Typical English breakfast and the food choice is the same every day. There is a retail park opposite the hotel but only have 4-5 shops like Decathlon, Sport Direct & B&Q etc.

LLilit AdamianIt is truly a fairy-tale hotel — the rooms feel as if they come straight out of a classic English story. Everything is neat, clean, and thoughtfully designed, making the stay very comfortable. The location is excellent, perfect for exploring Oxford on foot. The lobby area is especially beautiful — elegant, cozy, and welcoming, setting the tone from the moment you arrive. Overall, the experience was extremely pleasant. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to experience the true charm and atmosphere of Oxford.

GGuest UserWe have stayed here twice. The first time (2025) we were in the block which is separate to the main building- this was OK and the service was much better. The latest time we stayed we were in the main building- its grotty. The carpet leading to the rooms was stained and the room itself although it looked clean, didn't 'feel clean'-the place could do with a refresh and new carpets. We were unable to get food upon arrival as they stop serving at 9pm- we arrived a couloe of minutes before 9pm after a 4 hour drive, we were disappointe and we could see a couple eating in the bar area whose meals came out long after we had arrived- so really we could have ordered and been served. We ended up ordering an Uber eats meal.

GGuest UserStayed here many times! Very great place to stay for a few nights to be away from the city and enjoy the countryside drive. Very comfortable bed. Lovely staff! Highly recommended. Also there is a diner so you can enjoy the food during your stay. Or there is M&S food at the petrol station next door for snacks etc.

GGuest UserAround 30 minutes by car away from Oxford city area via motorway. Offered free parking in front of the hotel. Suitable for who is traveling by cars. Add on 10 pounds for the breakfast. Variety is limited yet good enough to start a day with it.  Room itself is wide and clean, just Marriott standards so need need to worry.
