"Older style but everything is well maintained just like most Japan hotel. Nothing to complaint about, just sleep over for us. But I imagine it’s very convenient as it’s at the JR station, we drove so it makes no difference but nearby parking isn’t as expensive as JR station in more developed city. Food option is plentiful nearby though so that’s great for late night supper."

"Cosy Ryokan walkable to Iya Valley Vine bridge although it may be steep at the entry/exit slope for elderly n those with mobility issues. The stay was comfortable and relaxing. Public bath was a little small but nonetheless enjoyable. Food wasn't luxurious but showcased their local seasonal eats. If you are driving and only staying overnight , I would suggest packing an overnighter and leaving the big suitcase in the boot as the poor staff will have to lug them up steep staircases to bring to your room. There is free coffee and also a vending machine next to lobby area. There is a small courtyard to chill after dinner and look at the stars after dark. The Futon can be a little thicker as those not used to sleeping on tatami may wake with a stiffer back. It's not a deal breaker though, will still recc the Ryokan if you are planning on staying in the area and enjoying the famous Japanese hospitality."

"Great location - next to JR station. Single room is tiny but guess it’s a norm for Japan. Bed is not super comfortable - it’s just too soft. Also some bad odor in the washroom"

"Nice hotel right next to the train station. Good amenities and clean room and bathroom. We got the breakfast (around 1300yen) and it was decent with western and Japanese breakfast options. In walking distance to everything of importance in Tokushima, would recommend for a short trip!"

"The hotel cleanliness is superb although is classis hotel, the hotel staffs are very polite and helpful. Very convenient location and there are many amenities are within walking distance."

"Overall, it's pretty good. The location is excellent with many shops and restaurants nearby, plus a convenience store right downstairs. The front desk offers free facial masks. The rooftop onsen uses natural hot spring water. My only complaint is that the room is a bit small."

"A quality business-class hotel located in Tokushima near the Bizen Ropeway and the Bizan Tenjinsha Shinto Shrine, just a short ten minute walk from JR Tokushima Station. During my stay, I enjoyed a lovely view of Mount Bizen and a few blocks of Tokushima, close in to shopping and restaurant districts. The room was quiet and comfortable and as always offered the same alpha-One commitment to quality I have come to expect from stays at other locations. Recommended."

"A very pleasant stay! The service was friendly and polite, and the small cable car onsen was a unique experience! The private bath (charged price) is highly recommended; the environment is tranquil and spacious with excellent views! Taking the hotel's used car at night, listening to vintage Japanese songs, to the Mangqiao Bridge for the night view was a unique experience! The landlady was very kind and even sang a beautiful song during dinner! They quickly helped me send any forgotten items to my next hotel! Highly recommend staying here!!! This is even better than Wa-no-Yoku!"

"The hotel is clean and tidy. Parking is convenient for self-driving tours. There are parking spaces in front and behind the hotel gate. There are many choices of restaurants around the hotel. There is also a large bathing area to soak away fatigue. I have stayed many times and am very satisfied with the hotel facilities and staff services. excellent"
