The location is very convenient, right off route 1 south. We arrived very late and with the incorrect booking date. The lady at the service desk was extremely helpful and managed to rebookd a room at the spot. Thank you to trip.com.
They also allowed us to have a late check out. Again have to praise the friendliness of the service desk.
The room assigned was not set up properly so we got an upgrade.
Room is clean by there are no slippers, no shower cap, tooth brush etc. Kind of disappointed.
The hotel is located on the seaside casino, with an excellent location. Check-in is on the 11th floor, and the car is parked directly on the 11th floor. It's a pity that the weather was bad and it rained heavily, so I couldn't enjoy the blue sky and white clouds and the sea.
My stay was perfect as usual, my only concern is anytime you go to the restaurant there is never staff available. They have you waiting for sometime before anyone appears.
This hotel feels a bit like an old car, but it's a decent option for a layover near Newark Airport. They offer an airport shuttle, though it doesn't run very frequently. The breakfast was particularly bad, and the plates looked like they weren't even washed properly. I even overheard a Chinese gentleman in the restaurant constantly complaining about it.
The location of the hotel is very good. There is a shopping mall next to it. There is a ** uncle shopping supermarket not far away. It is very convenient to reach Princeton University. It is about four or five kilometers away. It is also very convenient for breakfast. The stay is quite comfortable, but it is a little bit old. Overall, the price/performance ratio is pretty good. Princeton is really good. So beautiful
The hotel has been recently renovated, and the bathroom is new, but the water pressure is a bit low. The overall noise level isn't too bad. The front desk staff, a black woman, had an average service attitude. Check-in was significantly delayed because a tour group was ahead of me. The free shuttle only goes to the AirTrain station, so I had to take an Uber to the terminal because I was in a hurry.
There were several fees that I didn’t expect such as $31 resort fee. $15 early check in fee for checking in at 2:00 rather than 4:00 and $10 for parking.
The place also needs updating. Two beds were standard size not queen size.
Al things considered I would not be inclined to go back.
The location is only 20 minutes from sandy hook island and long branch beach, and it is convenient to drive. The hotel is very clean, the front desk and staff are friendly and welcoming, and overall feel comfortable. There is a happy hour in the bar in the afternoon, and the snacks are very affordable. The floor-to-ceiling glass and sea view of the room and restaurant is very good, very bright and refreshing!
The front desk of the hotel can help sign for express delivery, and there were no mistakes in several online purchases. In addition, when registering for the American version of IHG membership, a man on duty at the front desk assisted in making three IHG customer service calls because he needed to make up for the previous nights, which took a long time. Thank you very much!

GGuest UserHave always had a great experience at the Golden Nugget…always met with a smile at check in, food, drinks and entertainment are second to none and the gaming is always a fun time - will be back for more in the future!
GGuest UserI stayed at this location twice during my trip & had different experiences based on the person at the front desk. The hotel has a shuttle but it only runs certain hours; therefore, if your flight is late and the front desk doesn’t care, you are left stranded in finding a way to the hotel. The first person rounded up a shuttle for pick up, the second person said I just needed to find a way there (which was very expensive).
The breakfast was hot coffee and bags of tea & hot water, instant packs of oatmeal and grits (when not hoarded by other guests), individually packaged chocolate & plain muffins, and granola bars. It’s something, but definitely not my first choice.
This place is not the best nor the worst so if you want a definite shuttle, choose a closer location.
CCRodOk so first let me just say for the price we paid on the days we went. It wasn't horrible. I would go back BUT YMMV so this was my experience.
Location was great. Right on the boardwalk and an easy walk to Hard Rock when we went to the concert.
Service was meh. The only time I had a friendly anyone in the establishment was the woman who checked us out. Everyone else that we interacted with were either disinterested or perfunctory. No help on where to find our rooms, no help on any services offered. We didn't even get the annoying (did you want to sign up for our card?) that you get in ****** hotels. I guess that was a plus.
From my understanding we were on the ”older side” of the establishment. But regardless, staying on an entire floor that says non smoking it smelled of smoke. both cigarettes and ****. I don't care if you do either but I do care to smell either in my room or right outside my door (defeats the whole purpose of non smoking). Everything is dated which is whatever. but the blinds didn't work the coffee maker wire was too short for the ”dresser” so you had to keep moving it to the nightstand to use it. The room itself was relatively clean although the back of the nightstands hadn't been touched in a long time with all that accumulation of dust. Its design is just...weird. like so much random open area. I guess you can dance there lol. The ”dresser” didn't have drawers it had...like cubby holes. We didn't use them seemed pointless. I didn't even bother with the tv it was too far away and faced away from any sitting area (again weird layout).
The ****** itself was ok. Nothing crazy although I did like that rotating bar they had. But again. EVERYWHERE just reeked of smoke. To use a comparison, at Hard Rock when you were on the ****** side sure people smoked there (i get it) but the hotel side of things smelled clean refreshing and airy.
In the end, manage expectations and you'll be fine. If you are a smoker I am sure you will be fine too. If all you plan to do is sleep there its fine (although we were on the 7th floor and could still hear the music bumping below but the music was good so w/e lol) It works, again its not horrible. Its definitely 2.5-3 star range.
GGuest UserWas the worst experience I’ve ever had at a hotel. They were working directly under our room at 8am on a sunday. Hammering and power tools and then the fire alarm went off and was told by the people in the hallway we had to evacuate. Was just a horrible morning. Consumers appreciate the fact that you want to improve your facility but please be mindful of your guests staying there especially on a weekend. The reason why we even stayed over night was to have a good nights rest after along Saturday evening. So it really was horrible to be woken up to banging and power tools when all I wanted was a good nights rest.
Ssherj102This quick overnight trip was to celebrate the birthday of my husband. We like staying at this hotel as the amenities and the close proximity to everything on the boardwalk is exceptional. The staff was nice and our room was nice as well. We had no issues.
BBrandi JaymesMy check in and room were perfect by the absolutely lovely front desk woman who works 7pm when I checked in I wish I remembered her name… the very next day, I was overcharged $50 by a morning front desk employee who informed me they were “ sold out” and my “ only option would be to book through her” and she accepted 200 CASH “as long as I did the $25 deposit on a credit or debit card in my name”…. I was pressed for time and simply believed what I was being told in good faith as I’ve had never had an issue w a Hilton property over reservation charges and I am a Honors member for many years and much travel… suffice to say… I found availability for that night hours later when I had the time to review and attempt to book my third night…. Rooms were still(!) available online at rates lower that the 224 I was charged …. Third night I saved over fifty dollars by booking on Third party….
My suggestion is that prospective travelers Book Prior to stay and not reserve at front desk… this is common knowledge, but to tell me they were SOLD oUt and she was “ doing me a favor by extending my stay and allowing me to pay cash “( or perhaps ripping off both me and perhaps Hilton hotels ? I’m speculating on that… wish she had been accurate on my options if not outright LIE …. And I do not want to take Anything away from the great exp I had at check in ….the hotel is very comfortable without being modern in that way that NYC boutique hotels are… I find that sp**** mod look for hotel rather cold and pretentious…. Great smart TV w all access a clean room and all the amenities are what make this hotel a must if traveling to the area… just look thru Google hotels to find ur Very best rate .. and enjoy!
I sure did! Thank u Hampton inn Neptune, NJ!

SSICHAOOK, business trips can live, the environment is general, breakfast is general, there is not much choice for breakfast, the taste is general, the price is good. Suitable for business trips, it is general
