Great location which just in fromt of East Coast Mall. The room is nice, comfortable and spacious to stay.
I stayed here during Ramadhan, so it’s easy to get food for Iftar at the shopping mall. The hotel also provide Sahur with variety of foods. However, the room can be improved especially in the toilet which got some black stains. Overall, I enjoyed my stay here and will repeat again.
My stay at this hotel was, overall, very satisfying. The entire process, from check-in to check-out, went smoothly, leaving me with a great impression of my accommodation.
First off, the hotel's location is incredibly convenient, with easy access to transportation. There are also plenty of restaurants and shops nearby, making daily commutes and dining a breeze. Upon entering the lobby, I was greeted by a clean, tidy, and comfortable environment, exuding a quiet and welcoming atmosphere. The front desk staff were very friendly and efficient with the check-in process, patiently answering all my questions, which I found very thoughtful.
I was also quite pleased with the room. It was clean and well-maintained with a sensible layout. The bed was soft and comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The in-room facilities were comprehensive, with the air conditioning, hot water, and Wi-Fi all working perfectly and conveniently. The cleanliness was also excellent; everything looked neat and fresh, making for a reassuring stay.
Furthermore, some of the hotel's amenities added to the positive experience. The breakfast selection was quite varied, offering both simple Chinese dishes and some Western options, and the taste was pretty good. The restaurant environment was clean, and I found it quite relaxing and comfortable to dine there in the morning.
Of course, there's always room for improvement, for example, better soundproofing would be ideal. However, overall, my stay was still very pleasant. From the environment and service to the overall value for money, everything met a very satisfactory standard.
All in all, it was a comfortable and enjoyable accommodation experience. If I have the chance to visit this area again in the future, I would still consider choosing this hotel and would happily recommend it to friends looking for a place to stay.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Hyatt Regency Kuantan, especially the ambience and hospitality. However, there are a few areas that require attention.
Cons / Areas for Improvement:
1. Water pressure was quite slow, especially for the shower. When turned to hot water, the pressure increased, but once switched to cold, it became extremely weak.
2. There was water maintenance work happening during our stay. Although the hotel assured that everything was under control, it did affect our comfort while on holiday.
3. We noticed a small clump of dust on the floor. While it was minor, as we were staying with a 2-year-old toddler, it raised concerns as children tend to put things into their mouth. Housekeeping may need to be more thorough.
4. There should be better control of wild monkeys, especially around the parking area. I was chased and nearly bitten, which was quite frightening and unsafe for guests.
Pros / What We Appreciate:
1. Excellent service recovery — I forgot to disable the “Do Not Disturb” sign but informed the front desk to clean the room. The housekeeping staff called first to ask for permission before entering, which shows professionalism and true 5-star service standards.
2. The hotel’s surroundings are beautiful, clean, and very calming — truly breathtaking.
3. The beach is very clean and conveniently located right next to the hotel.
4. Large swimming pools (two pools available), so it never felt crowded.
5. Staff were extremely friendly, polite, and always willing to help.
Conclusion:
Hyatt Regency Kuantan has great potential with its beautiful location, facilities, and outstanding staff. With improvements in water system management, housekeeping checks, and wildlife control, the overall guest experience would be even better.
The hotel has been recently renovated, giving it a refreshing new look with a stronger Balinese-inspired style. The rooms are newly refurbished, everything is well maintained, and the breakfast is amazing. The beach is beautiful, and on weekends, the hotel even features a fire performance by the seaside, which adds a special touch to the experience.
Overall, the stay was enjoyable and relaxing. The only minor downside was that the bed was a little too soft for our preference.
Small room but we checked in for a rest so it is sufficient for us. Only one thing, i suggest people do not go park at the basement because when came at the morning our car is full of cotton “snow”. The hotel laundry is nearby so….yeah
We stayed at Chateau Spa, Bukit Tinggi for 4 days and 3 nights to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and it was a truly pleasant and relaxing experience. The resort was peaceful and beautifully maintained, making it a perfect place to unwind and celebrate a special occasion.
The room was clean, and the toilet was well kept, which made the stay very comfortable. The staff service was truly tip-top—everyone was attentive, caring, and clearly prioritised our wellbeing and comfort throughout our stay. Their professionalism and warmth really stood out.
As for the food, breakfast and the buffet were fine, but the à la carte meals for lunch and dinner were definitely worth the money. The portion sizes matched the price well, and there was a good variety of Western and Malay cuisine. We tried the Western dishes, including salmon and steak, and they were delicious.
The spa prices were affordable, though booking in advance is recommended. We visited during the last few days of December, and the weather was cold and lovely, adding to the overall relaxing experience. We left feeling happy, refreshed, and well taken care of. Would definitely recommend this place for a peaceful getaway or a special celebration.
A 3-day, 2-night stay. It was school holidays, so there were a lot of people. This is my second time coming here with Trip. The cheap room price was worth it. Thank you very much, Trip.
I enjoyed my stay at Shahzan Hotel Kuantan, especially as a business traveller needing a quick rest. The hotel is centrally located in town, making it very convenient with easy access to food and nearby amenities.
The breakfast selection was basic but reasonable for the price. The air conditioning was super cold, and the shower water pressure was excellent—definitely a plus after a long day. Underground parking is free, though spaces are quite limited.
Overall, it was a comfortable stay, and I would consider staying here again in the future. 😊
Check in only at 5pm. I was at the lobby at 4pm but room not ready at that time. Very disappointed.
Nothing as complimentary
It is a big unit or bungalow unit that i took but they only gave 4 towels. I ask for additional towel they want to charge RM10 just to provide additional towel.
Additional blanket they charge me RM40 for 2 towels..
Location very good. Everything else was good too
The room is as what was advertised - body and hair shampoo provided. Room is clean. Towels are clean but you can see they are abit worn out. I am not complaining given the price we pay. There are 2 hotel reserved parking lots and we have been lucky to be able to utilise them while we were there for 3 days 2 nites stay. Staff are helpful. We stayed on level 2 - the highest level. However, on Sat night, very late at night, maybe in the wee hours, we could hear furnitures being moved and dragged above us. The hotel may want to avoid such furniture move during these hours so as not to disturb the sleeping time of their guests

Very Good
SSyikin AhmadLocation is good, within walking distance to restaurants and convenient shops. Use the connection bridge at L5.
Very near to GPO and cable car station, about 5 mins drive.
Parking is allocated for 1 car.
The apartment was clean, with basic amenities like 2 door fridge, washing machine, microwave, basic cutleries, bowls and plates. No pots and pans although there is cooking stovetop.
Towels are provided but get prepared to wait longer if u plan during weekends or public holidays. I have to wait for almost 3 hours before I can eventually receive the towels at my rented unit. The aircond is only inside 1 room. No AC at the main hall, only ceiling fans. The hall was converted to a sleeping area with 1 queen+1 single. Soap and shampoo are provided, and the shower comes with a water heater.
Overall I'm ok with our 2 nights stay. The only thing that needs improvement is the check in, it took me almost 1.5 hours due to long queues before i can finally make it to the check in counter. I understand it's due to the weekend/public holiday, but at least the management should prepare some chairs outside knowing that people have to stand long in the queue, and some welcoming drinks would be even better.
MmangosellerI stayed at Crockfords Hotel Genting in early October 2025 and was genuinely disappointed by the level of service — especially for a hotel that claims to be Malaysia’s leading luxury property.
On 3 October, I approached the concierge Duty Manager around 9:40am regarding the hotel Wi-Fi, which kept showing an “invalid credentials” error. Instead of taking the initiative to verify the problem — which turned out to be something as simple as incorrect login details given at check-in — he insisted that the IT team would need to come into my room to fix it.
Later in the day, another staff member resolved the issue within minutes by simply checking the credentials. It’s baffling how the Duty Manager couldn’t do something that basic.
Throughout my stay, I also noticed that many of the staff seemed lost and unsure of how to handle simple situations — almost like the blind leading the blind. There was a clear lack of coordination and communication among them.
The breakfast experience was another major letdown. I had breakfast there for three consecutive days, and throughout, the food was never hot — the noodles in soup were the only consistently warm item served. To make matters worse, the staff did not communicate properly among themselves. On one morning, we were told to wait while a table by the window was being cleared for us. After waiting a good five minutes, another group of guests was allowed to take the exact table we were waiting for. The explanation given was simply that “the other guests wanted the table.” Completely unacceptable for a hotel of this supposed calibre.
The only saving grace was the Duty Manager working on 5 Oct and overseeing the breakfast buffet, who was attentive, proactive, and took the initiative to check if guests needed drinks or assistance. His professionalism truly stood out amidst the confusion elsewhere.
For a hotel that boasts winning the Forbes Travel Guide 5-Star Award seven years in a row, this experience was frankly a joke. The gap between Crockfords’ reputation and its actual service standards is staggering.
Truly disappointing and nowhere near what one would expect from a so-called luxury hotel.
PS: At least the view was great.
AAnonymous UserLocated halfway up Genting, there are plenty of restaurants nearby, making dining very convenient. It's also easy to get to Genting Highlands, about a 15-20 minute drive, and there's free parking available.
GGuest UserWe stayed at the hotel for two days. Unfortunately, the room floor felt sticky, which made it quite uncomfortable.
Housekeeping was responsive — they provided room slippers and extra pillows promptly after I made a request, which I appreciated.
However, the hotel surroundings were quite dark at night, as there were no roadside lights, which may feel unsafe for some guests.
Breakfast was provided but limited to a simple à la carte option. Guests could choose only one item (nasi lemak, lontong, vegetarian meal, or bread). Coffee and orange juice were available as self-service.
Overall, the service was acceptable, but there is room for improvement, particularly in cleanliness and breakfast variety.
WWanee ZulkifliMe and my husband booked this hotel for our staycation before Ramadan start. The price offer affordable with our budget since we went there during school holiday and CNY. We choose superior room which located in front of the pool. The resort are huge/big, a bit classic since the room interior quite oldies. I guess it's true this resort was build on 1987~ somewhere. The resorts well maintain, the staff are welcoming, polite, good PR with guests inquiries. The resort have great access to the beach that you may walk from the room/pool/restaurants. They have 2 pools, the one are surround by the villas/superior room and they have pool theme park (small theme park), require to wear the bands (will provide during check-in), the kids definitely enjoyed playing at the pool so do adults too. The other side of theme park pool, the have pool facing the beach and besids the restaurant, and of course their lifeguard always monitor the guests in pool area. There so many type of rooms you may choose in future. Furthermore, their breakfast menus are satisfied to enjoy, staff that always ready to clean up once guest finished their meal. Overall it's very comfy, nice and beautiful resort to choose for staycation/holiday. Definitely will come again in future.
CcurleyRevisiting Genting Highlands after 15 years, and once again staying at the First World Hotel. Last time I stayed in Tower 1, and this time in Tower 2, but it just doesn't feel as good as it used to! We were in a deluxe room in Tower 2, and there were no toiletries or slippers. There was only one towel/bath towel, and the fan in the room was quite noisy. It's best to avoid rooms on the very end, as there's equipment noise. Other than that, it's alright, just a place to sleep for one night.
AAnonymous UserThe apartment is newly renovated with very high-end furnishings and appliances. It has everything you need, including a refrigerator, TV, washing machine, and kitchenware, all from premium brands.
Check-in is after 3 PM, but you can drop off your luggage if you arrive early. For hot water in the shower, you'll need to turn on the water heater about an hour beforehand.
The location is about a 15-minute walk to the Peak. There's a covered walkway all the way, but it's uphill, so it's not an easy stroll. There's a mall downstairs with restaurants and a supermarket.
If you're taking a Grab, just tell the driver to drop you off at Block C or D of ANTARA.
MM2948MA fantastic, value-for-money option for families, thanks to its prime location and spacious layout.
Perfect Location whereby situated right in the heart of the action. Very close to everything, especially the Outdoor Theme Park.
It is excellent for Families becos the room is very big and spacious.
Great Bathroom Design: The bathroom is a highlight, featuring a practical separate dry and wet layout.
Overall Value for Money: Offers great space and location at a reasonable price for a family.
AAnonymous UserI recently stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and had mixed experiences. On the plus side, the hotel's mountain-top location is unbeatable, with breathtaking views and a 15-20 minute drive to the theme park and Casino. The staff were friendly and helpful, making check-in and check-out a breeze.
However, I had some significant concerns with the hotel's facilities, which felt outdated and in need of maintenance. There is a swimming pool with warm water, but no hot water shower at changing room after you swim. It's not possible to shower there before you back to your hotel room. Cleanliness could also be improved too. The biggest headache was the parking - while it's free for hotel guests, the process of validating and exiting the car park was convoluted and stressful, especially during peak hours. I.e. every time you exit the car park, you need to validate your touch n go card at hotel lobby (tower 2) while car park is at tower 7. You have to take lift to level 3 to walk across skybridge and take lift again to collect your car. Don't forget you only have 20 min to exit the car park after validation. And the parking lots themselves were also cramped and challenging to navigate.
The hotel's layout, with multiple towers and levels, was confusing even for me, and I found myself getting lost daily. I e. Check in at tower 2, you may stay at tower 3, car park is at tower 7, and breakfast is at another tower. If you're comfortable with this, you might enjoy your stay, but I'd recommend exploring other options in Genting Highlands.
UUmmsBeautiful hotel and excellent service. Staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent and tasty. Highly recommended. Room is clean and comfortable and cozy.
