The hotel's location is excellent, though the facilities look a bit ordinary. You can see Taipei 101 from the rooftop at night, which is a great spot for night views. The lobby bar offers unlimited drinks and snacks, so you can grab a bite and relax after a long day of sightseeing before heading back to your room. It was a very satisfying stay.

Extremely satisfied!
1. Service: All the staff at the hotel provided very thoughtful, meticulous, and attentive service. Everyone had a sunny smile on their face and was able to respond to our needs immediately at any time.
2. Facilities: The hotel room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable, and the toiletries in the bathroom were also of good quality. The TV had many channels, and the KTV added another layer of fun for us.
3. Breakfast: It was incredibly rich and very delicious; we still can't stop thinking about it.
I will definitely bring my family to stay here again next time!

Posted on Dec 14, 2023|Hot Spring Family Room
Anonymous UserFirst of all, this is a very old hotel that has seen truly better days. While maintained well, it has retained it's original furnishings and decor from the 1980s and 1990s. Staying here reminded me of my childhood travelling with my family in the 80s. The actual room does not look anything like the ones shown on the website. The hard floors mean you should wear their slippers or bring your own room slippers. The hot spring water advertised is just hot spring water pipes that go into your bathtub. There is a step that emulates hot spa step in the bathtub.
The breakfast was good with nice braised meat and eggs that you can put over your rice or porridge. There's also hot soy milk. But no hot tea, only coffee. The staff look tired but hard working.
There was a grumpy older lady receiptionist when we checked in and she was pretty rough in the check in process. E.g. ”if you don't put a number here, and you leave things in the hotel, we'll just throw them away! Just to tell you first.”
Room was quite small or cosy, depending on your perspective. The only thing new was the air-conditioner. The TV set had all the settings for channels but none worked. Internet wifi was not quite working too.

My partner and I had a fantastic overall experience staying at this hotel during our trip to Taitung. The hotel's location is excellent. From the moment we approached the entrance, we could already feel the thoughtful service – the staff at the door proactively directed us to the most convenient path for our luggage, which made a great first impression. The front desk staff were very detailed in their explanations and friendly, making the check-in process incredibly smooth. The hotel offers many free experiential activities and DIY classes, and the facilities are well-planned. The overall atmosphere felt relaxing and comfortable. I particularly want to mention that as we were about to take the elevator upstairs, a passing cleaning staff member saw us and proactively pressed the elevator button for us. These small details truly show the hotel staff's attentiveness and warmth, making the overall service feel very welcoming. The environment was generally well-maintained, and the cleanliness was mostly good, though a few minor details could be improved, such as a small strand of hair found on the mirror, likely left by a previous guest. Additionally, the soundproofing in the room was a bit weak, and we could hear noise from the neighboring room, but it was still within an acceptable range. The breakfast was decent, but the overall stay was still very pleasant. If we have the chance to visit Taitung again, we would definitely choose to stay here.

Anonymous UserA beautiful, historic homestay near the port with excellent service. High-quality bedding and comfortable beds. Walking in and hearing Celine Dion made it even more quaint 😂
Jack was super helpful with information about the ferry tickets, and even made an extra trip back to the port because I Ieft my umbrella behind. And his mom was very kind and welcoming too.
A note to those who may be sensitive: there was a faint musty smell, which I’ve found common to many hotels and guest houses in humid climates like Taiwan. Earplugs are recommended for light sleepers, since you can hear courtyard and street noise in the room. Plan ahead for cash: nearby restaurants are cash-only, and the nearest atm is at 7-11, about a 20 minute walk away.

Guest UserIt was great to have a quiet stay. A solo room is truly the best! This place is close to Jiufen Old Street, making it perfect for sightseeing in Jiufen. I definitely wanted to stay for a night and relax, so I did. It's really nice to be able to spend time without worrying about when to head back. Jiufen is on a mountain, and the slopes are steep and more tiring than I expected, so I think there's a big difference between staying overnight and just visiting for the day.

DanieltrI loved my stay at Slack BnB. It is easy to find in the village. The facilities are very clean, everything is well-planned and guests have a lot of opportunities to rest. Very cosy Dorms with built-in Beds, which have a good quality. The guests are very respectful and quiet. There is a kitchen to provide food, slacklines in the garden, lots of space to hang out and a Beamer where you can watch YouTube etc.
The staff is very motivated to keep everything clean, this can be seen in various facets.
The staff and the owner are so helpful which I appreciated much. I can definitely recommend this hostel to everybody when visiting the island.

While noise from the hallway is easily heard, practicing speaking in the room was still manageable. The location is excellent, with plenty of great food options nearby, and Chiayi Train Station is within walking distance. The only downsides were the facilities and hygiene. The bed was hard, and there was a thick layer of limescale on the bathroom faucet. But you get what you pay for, and overall, it was a decent stay.

Guest UserI booked this homestay last minute on my bike trip and it ended up being a great place! The six-person room was quite comfortable, all the beds have curtains which help with privacy. Public space with a kitchen table, water dispenser and other amenities. Good if you’re looking to stay near the train station.
