It would be a treat of an evening to follow the babbling brook through the ancient orchid-dotted woodland. Rest awhile at the owner's perfect little bothy, then retire to your own secluded little garden with its picture-postcard views across open pastures to the Teme and Kyre valleys. Venture further to ‘foodie’ Ludlow full of fabulous various restaurants, book-lined Hay-on-Wye, Ironbridge industrial heritage, the magnificent Malvern Hills is a wonderful way to spend the afternoon walking. Ludlow Castle, Croft Castle, Eastnor Castle and many more National Trust properties are within easy distance. Take to the slow life on the steam railway, stride out on the Mortimer Trail, meander through forgotten Herefordshire villages. Leading directly from the cottage is an extensive network of footpaths and bridleways where badgers, woodpeckers, buzzards and owls may be seen. Buzzards soar overhead, rabbits scamper in the fields that surround you.
