Our stay at Daiichi Takimotokan in Noboribetsu was truly unforgettable! It's just a 5-minute walk to Jigokudani (Hell Valley), and the outdoor onsen offers stunning views of the snowy mountains. They boast over thirty baths with five different spring qualities, all directly from the source. The Japanese-style rooms were spotless and comfortable, and the seafood buffet for breakfast and dinner was incredibly fresh and delicious. The staff were wonderfully kind and attentive. The charm of this century-old hot spring ryokan was definitely a highlight of our Hokkaido trip!
The Keio Plaza Hotel Sapporo has an excellent location, just about a 5-minute walk to JR Sapporo Station, making shopping and getting around incredibly convenient. The rooms are clean and spacious, which is a big plus for a Japanese hotel, allowing you to easily open your suitcase. The service is attentive and efficient, the facilities are comprehensive, and the breakfast is abundant and delicious. There are plenty of restaurants and convenience stores nearby, offering a quiet escape from the hustle and bustle. It's great value for money, suitable for both business and leisure travelers. I'll definitely choose to stay here again on my next trip to Sapporo.
There's a direct bus from JR Toya Station right to the hotel entrance. The hotel lobby is magnificent, and the views are great, but it does host a lot of tour groups, so expect it to be quite lively everywhere you go. The room views are also beautiful. I'd read in other reviews that the Western-style rooms were a bit dated, but I booked one anyway because it was cheaper. As someone who isn't too picky about accommodation, I found it to be very good. Both the mattress and the sofa were comfortable. The only real downside was the rather old toilet, but since I enjoyed the open-air onsen, I didn't actually use the shower in the room. The hotel offers a shuttle bus service to and from Sapporo, which I highly recommend using – it's super convenient.
This is a historic Japanese onsen hotel. The hot spring water quality is genuinely good, attracting many Japanese families and couples. There are also quite a few Korean families and Western tourists. However, the overall facilities are a bit old, and the flow within the onsen area is quite complex. There aren't many pools, but they are spread across multiple floors with lots of stairs. Walking around like that **in that condition** felt a bit awkward and cold. The open-air onsen on the 16th floor is shared by men and women at different times, so if all family members want to enjoy it, one day definitely isn't enough (see the last picture for the onsen schedule). The 'water world' is fun and great for kids, and soaking in the hot spring after playing there is very relaxing. The dining is just okay, nothing special, as they mainly cater to group tours.
P.S. The scenery in Jozankei is worth exploring, and the nearby ski resort is worth a visit (the kind for playing in the snow). The kids had a blast.
The hotel offers a free airport shuttle service, which is fantastic! The cabins are very unique, with a truly natural environment, and the service is top-notch; everyone is incredibly welcoming. In particular, the Chinese receptionist, Xiao Zhang, was a huge help. He handled all the communication and service, from arranging breakfast and dinner to providing transportation and information about the hotel. Communication was never a problem, and he was extremely attentive to every detail. Thank you so much! I'm very satisfied.
The hotel room is considered large in Japan. We were 3 people and the hotel provided us with a separate sofa bed. There are also many food stalls near the hotel, which is very convenient. It is 3 subway stations away from Sapporo Station. Convenient transportation.
The Japanese-style room had someone dedicated to making the beds, and there was plenty of space for three adults, not cramped at all. It's very close to Shirahige Waterfall, right downstairs from the hotel. Additionally, the hotel offers many convenient services, such as shuttle buses to and from Asahikawa and the Blue Pond, making it very easy to explore the surrounding area.
The only downside was that the bathroom in our room type didn't have a wet/dry separation and was very small, not suitable for showering inside. Luckily, the hotel has a hot spring bathhouse, so my family and I went there morning and evening to shower.
This resort is located on the mountaintop and offers many snow activities. We had a great time playing in the snow in the afternoon! As someone from the south, I've never seen so much thick snow before! The hotel facilities are quite comprehensive, though the food options are limited. We tried the Michelin-starred Teppanyaki, and the service was excellent, and the taste was pretty good! However, the Japanese breakfast was just average.
I booked two nights, the price is less than 200 per night, and the Otaru Hotel during the Snow Festival is more than 800+, so I chose a warm youth hostel.
The person in charge is an old lady. You will find her humor and enthusiasm when you communicate with her. If there is no one at the front desk, you can ring the bell. You need to leave the key at the front desk when you check out.
The second floor can be connected to the bathhouse on the first floor (I didn’t go because it seems to be an independent business bathhouse, and my roommate likes to go there);
If you are assigned to a double room as shown in the picture, you are lucky because you will live very comfortably. My roommate is of the same country and the same sex, and we chatted like friends;
If you are assigned to a quadruple room, then you will experience a rich youth hostel life. The roommates are men and women from all over the world. It is easy to communicate in a narrow environment. Everyone is very quiet and you don’t have to worry about your sleep problem.
But there is indeed a smell that is not like 🦶 air for two days. I can’t tell the difference. There is a burning thing in the room (it seems to be an air purifier) that can solve this smell.
The interesting thing about this youth hostel is that it is like a blind box. You don’t know what you will encounter.
I pre-booked a transfer and luggage service for 10:50 AM today and even re-confirmed it with the front desk this morning, but no one showed up when the time came. Around 11 AM, I sent my child to ask at the front desk, and the staff simply said, 'We forgot,' and that was it. They offered no solutions for my delayed schedule, no sincere apology, just a perfunctory 'sorry' to brush me off. This complete disregard for customer needs and lack of accountability after a mistake shows zero professionalism. I paid for a service, not to be upset. As a long-time Ctrip member, I hope Ctrip provides an official response. The staff member who came to collect the luggage today was Indian and completely clueless. When the downstairs driver asked if it was Ms. Wang's luggage, he said no. They couldn't even get the most basic information right. It's truly speechless. I do not recommend this hotel.

GGuest UserPark Hyatt Niseko Hanazono’s architecture, environment, interior design, and lighting design were all truly wonderful. We were consistently impressed by the excellence of service, which made our visit even more memorable.
The food and beverage service was warm and attentive, enhancing the overall dining experience. The front desk and transportation team were outstanding in assisting us with our trip activities and transport arrangements. Additionally, the housekeeping department did a fantastic job in keeping our room clean and tidy.
It is evident that the hardware and software (the staff) at Park Hyatt Niseko Hanazono are perfectly matched. We are so glad we chose to stay at Park Hyatt Niseko Hanazono
We look forward to returning in the future!

よよてぃこThe buffet had a variety of options and was delicious. I was able to eat a lot of crab, which was great. There was a TV in the bathroom in the room. The pool and hot springs were great. If you're afraid of heights, the elevator might be scary... I'll post a photo, even though it's not very photogenic.
PPYN22Just across the bus terminal.
The corridors are dated like many onsen hotels in Japan, however the room and bed is clean and comfortable
The buffet breakfast and dinner were impressive.
Onsen is smallish for such a big hotel. You can visit other onsen as a day visitors for comparison
MM20185****This hotel is quite affordable for Jozankei, though it doesn't have private onsen. The hotel itself is a bit old, but the rooms are spacious enough. Booking the bus from Sapporo to Jozankei was convenient, and we saw many Japanese seniors staying there. The breakfast and dinner buffets offered a good variety of fruits and vegetables, and everything was pretty tasty. It was also very convenient for my trip to Sapporo Kokusai Ski Resort. Recommended!
GGuest UserExcellent hotel with kids facility
Food are nice
But they have free flow with bingo tem on the day we checked in, don't know why the restaurant staff don't want to show us the free flow menu .
We asjec the waiter for detaills, he showed us.
But we don't know our kidx can play bingo ten after dinner . No one told us.
Other than that , all are good
HhungshuhuiThe hotel is relatively old, the hot spring pool is beautiful, but no skin care products are provided. The scenery of the golf course outside the window is very beautiful. There is Mitsui Oultel Shopping Center and Costco about a 10-minute drive away.
FFPYFantastic environment just in front a ski resort with stunning view. Good carpark space for guests.
Just happened it is snowing and the view is like a paradise.
Rooms are on upstairs 1 floor, do request assistance from the helpful staff to assist you.
All the staff is friendly, handsome and beautiful.
Try to offer some Japanese food as that's what we expected, for breakfast and dinner.
The cafe is beautiful, needs more marketing exposure.
