The room was wooden and quite nice. I stayed in a king-size room. The front desk staff didn't speak Chinese, but their English was passable. The only downside was that the codename was a bit deceptive.
Facilities: A bit dated, but acceptable.
The hotel has large, clean rooms, but the toilet design is not suitable. When showering, water spills onto the bathroom floor. The storage shelf above the toilet is inconvenient. The glassware and cups are not very clean.
On the positive side, the manager speaks Vietnamese fluently and can communicate well in English, Chinese, and Lao. The hotel is 700 meters from the night streets, making it convenient for travel. However, the provided drinking water has a very small volume.
I think the hotel only needs to refine some design and cleanliness aspects to be worthy of a 5-star rating. This review does not mean the hotel is bad—in general, for someone easygoing like me, it's okay. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the breakfast is clean and delicious.
Excellent Stay at Kinton Hotel – Highly Recommended!
I had an amazing stay at Kinton Hotel. The place is packed with amenities and the service is truly top-notch. They provided free pick-up and drop-off, which made everything smooth and hassle-free.
One huge plus is their self-service laundry and dryer – super useful, especially if you’re doing outdoor activities or a longer trip. The food was quite good, and the cleanliness was exceptional. On the first day, our room was accidentally missed during cleaning, but they immediately sent someone up as soon as we let them know – great responsiveness.
I also booked via Trip.com, where it mentioned late checkout. The hotel honored that without hesitation, which I really appreciated.
For a city that’s full of parties and adventures, it’s great to come back to a comfortable, clean, and calm hotel like this. The price is very reasonable for what you get – maybe even a bit more value than you pay for.
If you’re visiting Vang Vieng, I highly recommend staying here. 👍
At first, I thought the room was too small. The price was not cheap, but the facilities were only comparable to those of a domestic hotel, and there was a bit of a musty smell. However, after comparing the surrounding area, I found it to be one of the better hotels in Vangrong. The mountain view rooms offer views of hot air balloons and paramotors every morning and evening, and you can watch the sunrise from the rooftop in the morning. The location is also quite convenient, and the pool is relatively clean. Highly recommended.
Hotel location is good, you can overlook the green mountains and green waters from the window. I stayed in room 303 of Wanrong Memory Hotel on the afternoon of October 3, twin room (including breakfast), Trip.com to the store to pay 182 yuan. The door lock is bad and can't be locked from the inside and outside. There is no hanger in the room. The bottled water given is a 250ml bottle, but there is a drink cabinet in the lobby and there is a small supermarket outside the hotel yard. The front desk clerk does not speak Chinese and can speak English to them.
Because the door lock was bad, 15:16 went downstairs to the door to deliberately lean a basket of slippers (it seems not by the door when I came back, and a pack of clothes in my backpack was placed on the table).
On the morning of October 4, I went downstairs and returned the room card. There was a female clerk at the front desk who could speak English and not Lao. She chased me to pay (not agree to deduct the deposit from Trip.com ), but I didn’t have enough old coins. She calculated at the 1:2800 exchange rate that 200 yuan was equal to 560,000 kip. She didn’t plan to refund my price difference. Seeing that she didn't mean to change, I didn't bother to argue with her and left.

Great hotel. Spacious, clean and comfortable room with a great breakfast. We stayed 4 nights and really enjoyed our time here.
The property is close to everything you need. Restaurants, street food, tours, scooter rental and transport, all walking distance.
Bungalow hotel in a very quiet location because it is across the river from the city. It was very good that there were many travelers who were relaxing. It takes 20 minutes to walk to the night market in Bambien. All the staff were kind and helpful. I want to repeat.

The room was very clean and spacious, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Most of them could speak Chinese, which was a big plus. Breakfast was also delicious. The only downside was that the pool water looked like it hadn't been cleaned, so we couldn't swim. This might have been because it had just rained that day. Overall, I would still highly recommend this place. Just a heads-up, the central bar plays music at night, and while the soundproofing in the rooms is decent, light sleepers might find it a bit bothersome.

As soon as check in aircorn was leaking and rain shower not working properly but they fixed it right away. Before check in should someone inspect room ? Provide all amenities that really not necessary instead should have soap holder in bath room. Location seen abit far from center at first yet after walk around that walkable distance to night walking street and restaurants. They got roof top bar good view to enjoy.
PPhanouKVSThe room is spacious and clean. But the noise from next door is pretty loud when they close the door. But overall a fine stay for short trip.
RRyanShanghaiNot really what we expect from a 4 star hotel. The floor in our room was dirty and the bathroom also could’ve done with a clean. The beds were clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. However, the cleaning service is not up to scratch. The location is good because it is near to the main area. The price per night is low which is good but still for a 4 star I would expect the floors and shower to be clean.
YYollandiLet me tell you, this hotel deserves to pay its staff triple! Khamla truly went above and beyond to make sure I had an amazing stay, and her kindness left me speechless. Honestly, when I first arrived, I thought, “Oh no, I’m canceling my booking right now.” But thankfully, they let me see the room before check-in and even offered a full refund if I wasn’t satisfied. In the end, I decided to stay for the two nights since I figured it would be okay.
Now, I won’t lie—the exterior of the hotel looks a bit worn, but don’t let that fool you! Inside, it’s spotless and conveniently located near a plethora of restaurants, bars, and tourist attractions. I booked an exhilarating hot air balloon ride for $120 through the hotel for the next day, and it was absolutely unforgettable.
I also had my heart set on visiting the Nahm Xai viewpoint but didn’t want to venture out alone. The staff went out of their way to help me find an English-speaking tour guide, and when that didn’t pan out, Khamla from the front desk stepped in. She graciously offered to be my guide on her day off! She hiked with me up to the viewpoint, snapped photos, and made sure I was safe and sound every step of the way.
In the end, I couldn't have been happier with my decision to stay. The service here is truly top tier, making this hotel experience one I won’t forget!
KkdreidgeThis hotel felt quite run down. We arrived to the lobby with two old mattresses leaning against the wall. The room was big and had lovely views, however, the door had cracks in it that you could see through to the hallway and hear everything going on outside the room. The bathroom is in need of desperate repair. The AC roared loudly on and off all night, the metal from the AC rattled the windows. The sheets did not fully cover the mattress (just a loose sheet on top of the bare mattress, so in the night I found myself touching the old mattress with my hand). White duvet had stains. Pool was really nice with river views, definitely the highlight of our stay. We went elsewhere for breakfast after seeing what was offered. Staff were helpful in booking a tuk tuk and storing our luggage for the day.
Jjons02Great Value with Excellent Service & Prime Location
The room was clean and comfortable for the price—definitely not a luxury hotel, but the service felt luxurious! The staff were incredibly friendly, and the receptionist went above and beyond to help, even arranging a tuk-tuk for me to the railway station at checkout.
One of the best perks was the convenience—the hotel offers bike and scooter rentals, as well as a variety of day tours. Whether you're interested in paramotoring, hot air balloon rides, kayaking, hiking, or exploring caves and lagoons, they’ve got you covered. If you’d rather book elsewhere, the location is perfect, with plenty of tour operators right next door.
The area is packed with different restaurants, and my personal favorite, the night market, was just steps away. There are also several laundry services nearby, making longer stays hassle-free.
The only downside was noise—the walls and doors are a bit thin, so you might hear doors closing or noisy neighbors. My room was on the first floor (right side), so if you're a light sleeper, I’d recommend requesting a quieter spot away from high-traffic areas.
Overall, a fantastic stay for the price, with outstanding service and an unbeatable location!
ps. You can also enjoy a quick swim by the pool before going to your room!

GGuest UserExcellent location- few steps to 7-11, mini mart and ATM; plenty of cafes and local food shops along the same street, 5 min to night market.
Great breakfast- 5 types of fruits and decent portions of eggs breakfast to choose from. Coffee, tea, juice available during breakfast time.
Reception- helpful, English speaking staffs
Cleanliness- considered very good, washroom and shower room are clean and not wet.
Vibe- mostly teenagers to westerners aged 20’s, who seem get along and enjoy spending time at lobby area during evening till late
Downsides
1)AC off from 10am to 6pm; renovation of swimming pool started from 8am and it’s hard to chill or relax at lobby area during my 2 days stay.
2)Sleep- my room is the nearest to lobby area, the guests were loud talking, laughing the whole night till 2am + on my first night( I couldn’t fall asleep at all) the 2nd night karaoke and music bombarded from 9pm to 11pm, thereafter guests continued talking and laughing loud till late.
Perhaps earplugs and eye mask could help with coping the downsides, given the overall consideration, it’s not bad for a quick night stay.
GGuest UserWe enjoyed our stay here. The pool was well kept and a nice way to cool off from the incredible heat! The breakfast was good, with the exception of one day when there was a huge group that cleaned it all out before we arrived and then there wasn't anything left for us (not the property's fault). Our room was nice, and we had a balcony overlooking the pool. The staff was friendly and helpful, even renting us a scooter for a day. It was about a 20 minute walk from the center of town, which was okay for us.
JJingqiVangrong is really worthy of its reputation in the rainy season. There were continuous thunderstorms all night and showers during the day. But thanks to the weather, I saw different landscapes. The hotel is adjacent to the Nansong River and backed by the mountain. The air is very fresh, the garden environment is beautiful, the vegetation is rich, and there are many fruit trees. It is really the best choice for Vangrong hotels in terms of cost performance. Except that it is a little far from the downtown area of Vangrong, there are basically no other disadvantages. The owner is a large travel company in Suzhou, China. It is safe to stay and there is no barrier to communication in Chinese. I would like to praise the waiter Pan Juan. She provided us with meticulous service during the two stays this year. She is fluent in Chinese and warm and friendly!
