Lands End Resort is always an amazing experience being at the end of the spit in Homer Alaska. My husband traveled this time and was pleased with the room, service and restaurant.
The most iconic hotel in Anchorage, I had to stay even if I could only afford one night. Everything was good, the room was a bit small. Definitely paying big city prices for little old Alaska, which can feel like price gouging.

The location of the city center is very convenient, opposite the Pioneer Park, and there are plenty of parking spaces downstairs. I read the comments before that there are homeless people who are afraid of insecurity and don't need to worry at all. The elevators can only be used with the room card.
American breakfast, although not many varieties, but the taste is quite good, there should be some.
This is the best hotel in Alaska, bar none. The hotel has complete facilities, you can go shopping, cycling (cross-country), do spa, skiing, and the scenery is beautiful. There are many restaurants in the resort, among which Sakura Japanese Ramen is delicious. You can spend two days there without any problem.
The hotel environment is very good and very clean! There are specimens of brown bears and wolves in the lobby, which is spectacular, and there is a free self-service coffee machine and hot water, which is too important for me to come back from minus 40 degrees outside! ! !
But! ! ! The hotel has no service at all. I never cleaned up the room for five days. I don’t know if it’s the same in American hotels.
Although the hotel is still pretty new, there's a frightening amount of wear and tear already present on all furniture, doors and walls. While the cleanliness is as expected, sound insulation is non-existant, which is why it was hard to sleep when you could hear every vehicle outside as loud as if you were standing next to it (and our room was on the highest floor). Neither the check-in lady at the front desk nor the kitchen staff were very friendly. The breakfast was probably the worst we ever had. It's advertised from 6:30-9:30am but when we arrived at 7am, most must-have items like bagels were already gone and weren't refilled. Also, the pancake machine was broken. All in all, it was a very disappointing stay.
We enjoyed the room and how clean it was. We also liked feeling secure with a gate for all guests. We didn’t feel secure at other hotels like that. The only real issues I had was that the pool is very outdated. Doesn’t smell of chlorine at all just smells like a gravel pit. We didn’t want to get the water on our mouths because there was a lot of dirt in the pool. So it needs to be updated. Nobody should have to swim in a dirty pool with no chlorine in 2021. That’s the whole reason people probably want to stay there so I know we are not the only guests that were let down with this old stinky outdated pool. Also they need to make their fitness room bigger and they need some weights in there. Because all you can do is run. Plus the breakfasts were very cheap. Greek yogurts are nasty it should’ve been regular yoplait. With a granola bar, orange, and bottle of water. Not sure if I will stay there ever again unless they fix all these issues and stop being cheapskates!

GGuest UserBooked and paid in full online. They have our credit card on file. Didn’t expect they want to charge extra money for room deposit. No problem we can handle the additional payment except Their machine didn’t work scanning my Apple Pay. The older lady was rude and told us we couldn’t stay. That was not our fault. It really hurts! they should fix their machine problem first rather than blaming customer. Finally the younger staff on training figured out how to charge my Apple Card by keying in the numbers. Overall check in was not as friendly and professional as it should be. Breakfast was okay, oatmeal was not done correctly super dry, a simple fix is adding a bit water , yet no one cared. Eggs are not real , artificial eggs. Just a bit disappointed.
Rooms are warm and bathrooms is clean.
XXthemadgeniusLovely Hotel great spot to be in the center of Anchorage and is close to the freeway, just be careful parking is not attached, the staff early early Feb 14th was so helpful lovely and kind 3 girls(posted their names on the yelp review)

GGuest UserThe size of the room is just right, and the hygiene is OK. The room I was given was on the side of the first floor. It was probably a promotional room, because I only stayed for one night. There is a river behind the hotel, and you can go fishing along the river. It’s also very meaningful to walk around both sides of the Taiwan Strait to see the local fishing culture. It’s a little more inconvenient to walk uphill for about 20 minutes from the city center, but it’s very close to the train station, and the hotel has a free pick-up service. This service is really good. , one of the reasons why I booked this hotel
CCaitong1963Although the hotel is old, the room is big, two 1.5 meters big bed, the room is very clean, there is a tea bar in the lobby, free boiling water, tea bags and coffee, the hotel also provides free pick-up and drop-off service, very satisfied with this stay, it is a little expensive!

FF000611Breakfast is normal, the aunt is warm and welcoming; the room is clean and tidy; a few minutes drive from the airport; parking is free, there is a shuttle bus; the bathtub is a bit slow, overall satisfaction
