"Staying at this hotel during my trip to Dalian was a great choice. Located in the Donggang area, I mainly booked it for the sea view, and it certainly didn't disappoint—the ocean and night views are stunning, right across from the Water City. The young lady at the front desk was very sweet and welcoming. The room is spacious with two large queen beds, separated by a sliding door. The room amenities are fully equipped, and the bedding is comfortable. You can even enjoy the sea view and the unique, beautiful architecture of the Water City right from your bed. The hygiene and facilities are also top-notch; it was very clean, the shower water was nice and hot, the AC worked great, and it even came with a large refrigerator. Whenever we needed anything, the butler responded very quickly. Thumbs up! 👍 We visited the Water City both day and night, and felt the night lighting was even more breathtaking, with small boats gliding by and surrounding restaurants reflecting on the water—truly gorgeous. It's also very convenient to go to the coast to see seagulls. All in all, I am extremely satisfied with choosing this hotel. Just a quick tip: when taking a taxi, locating the hotel, or ordering food delivery, entering through Hengli Hotel is much more convenient."

The hotel, opened in 2025, has relatively new facilities. However, the 'sea view room' was a bit misleading as the view wasn't great. On the plus side, the hotel boasts an excellent location with convenient transportation and a wide variety of nearby dining options. The breakfast was also impressive, with a rich selection and high-quality food."

"We were looking for a hotel with an ocean view in Bayuquan Shanhai Square and this one immediately caught our eye. Our stay here far exceeded our expectations! The location is absolutely perfect; you can walk to the beach in just two or three minutes. It's so convenient to head downstairs and enjoy clam digging, and the hotel even provides complimentary buckets and shovels for guests. Our ocean-view room was incredibly spacious and bright, with a private balcony offering expansive views. We could literally watch the entire sunset over the ocean from our bed. The room was meticulously clean, and we appreciated the separate wet and dry areas in the bathroom, the comfortable mattress, and the full set of branded toiletries. The breakfast buffet each morning was abundant and fresh, with a great variety of both Western and Chinese dishes. Zoe provided excellent service. Parking and dining were also very convenient. This hotel offers incredible value for money and is definitely our top choice for a seaside getaway in Bayuquan. We'll be staying here again for our next beach trip and wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing ocean-view vacation!"

"A good hotel is key to a successful trip! This hotel is very close to Xinghai Square, and across the bridge is an amusement park. The paths are flat, perfect for strollers or 'baby walkers' (though the area right outside the hotel entrance has cobblestones, which can be a bit bumpy for strollers). The room environment is excellent. We are a family of five – four adults and one child – and stayed in the 'Star Blue' room, which was perfectly spacious. It had a 1.8m bed downstairs plus a tatami mat upstairs, and even a single sofa that could be used for sleeping. The space felt generous. There's also a private little courtyard where you can hang kids' clothes to dry (as long as it's not raining). The hotel has a laundry room with a dryer, so no more bringing dirty clothes home!"

Check-in was very fast, and the high-floor elevators weren't crowded. The room was clean and tidy, and the soundproofing was excellent. The front desk staff were very friendly. Definitely worth another stay!"

I originally booked a deluxe scenic suite, but upon check-in, the front desk surprised me with an upgrade to an even more luxurious Executive Ocean View Suite! From the reception on the first floor to the sky lobby on the 66th floor for check-in, every staff member was warm and attentive. The room was incredibly spacious, meticulously cleaned, and absolutely spotless. The high-altitude view was breathtaking, offering panoramic ocean views. I could even see the Venetian Water Town right below – the location is super convenient, very close to Xiding and WHERE·WHERE restaurants. Highly recommended!"

The location is excellent, right next to Exit 4 through the back door. In the evenings, there's live music indoors and a band outdoors. You can enjoy the lively atmosphere from the balcony, and it's vibrant but not noisy.
The in-room amenities are quite thoughtful. The tissue brand offers great value for money – soft and dust-free. The air freshener has a pleasant, non-irritating scent, showing careful consideration in procurement.
Overall, there are no significant downsides, except for the foot pedal on the bathroom trash can, which is a bit stiff. Upgrading to a better model would be ideal, but it didn't really impact our stay.
Additionally, the front desk staff, both men and women, were very diligent and responsible, especially Chow Pak Ho. Since we arrived early in the morning, he promptly arranged our check-in and upgraded our room as soon as a vacant one became available. We are very grateful.
Our child had a wonderful time and gained a lot. We plan to come back next summer with friends and their family. We hope the standards are maintained and even improved upon!

NNuonuoMy stay at The Castle Hotel, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Dalian was fantastic! The hotel looks just like a fairy-tale castle, and the night views are especially enchanting. The room was spacious and comfortable, fully equipped and well-maintained. A special shout-out to the noodle chef at the breakfast restaurant—his service was warm and attentive, he recommended noodle dishes based on my preferences, and the noodles he cooked were exceptionally delicious. Dansey provided thoughtful service, with quality shining through every little detail. I will definitely choose to stay here again next time I visit Dalian and will recommend it to my friends. A thoroughly satisfying stay experience!

GGuest UserFirst off, I want to say that the shuttle bus drivers, the security guards at the gate, and the cleaning staff all had excellent and professional service attitudes. However, the front desk's service quality was extremely poor, incomparable to what I experienced in Chengdu. I used to stay at Fraser Place Chengdu frequently for work assignments, so when I had a baby, I thought of booking Fraser again.
Why was it unprofessional? I booked a Premier Suite, and the room pictures showed a very spacious living area. But when I got the room card, it was just a standard one-bedroom suite. They said it was because they wanted to give me a high floor – why would I need a high floor with a baby? And that was hardly a large one-bedroom suite to begin with. Furthermore, when I called and asked for the room card to be brought up, it was a security guard who called the robot to deliver it to me.

GGuest UserThe service was great! A day before check-in, the staff contacted me to ask about my child's information and provided suitable slippers and other amenities. When we arrived, they quickly arranged for an extra pillow and blanket upon request. They also accommodated our late check-out. Although the facilities are a bit old and the summer premium was high, the balcony sea view was absolutely stunning and left us with wonderful memories. A quick tip: it's best to bring your own hairdryer (the hotel's is quite old) and shower slippers (they only provide disposable ones). If you plan on taking a bath, bring your own large bath liner (you can also order one via delivery once you're at the hotel). The main bed was very comfortable, but the sofa bed was not.

GGuest UserRight next to Sun Asia Ocean World, and just a six or seven-minute walk to the beach, so it's super convenient. Even though the hotel is quite old, the hygiene is still pretty good. A lot of people complain about the elevators, but I personally didn't find it to be an issue; they're generally not delayed except during breakfast and dinner times. The afternoon tea felt a bit rough to me, and the service at the 2nd-floor restaurant was incredibly slow. I just wanted something easy, but after ordering two dishes, it took half an hour for the first one to arrive, and the second one only came after I'd already finished the first.

The apartment is very stylish, a blend of industrial and romantic elements. Everything is very well-equipped, and the location is peaceful. The service is excellent, with a very professional approach to our requests. The resident dog is a real bonus. Very friendly, he's the hotel's mascot. The included breakfast was delicious and prepared entirely to order. The surrounding area is fantastic, with the opportunity to enjoy a variety of fresh seafood and fish right at the port, barbecue-style. An excellent restaurant completes the experience, just two minutes from the hotel.

CCarolineOverall, I was very satisfied, with the exception of the lack of a kids' play area. The Executive Lounge, in particular, was perfect for families with young children. Our little one couldn't finish a full meal but would get hungry again quickly, so the Executive Lounge, with its executive lounge service and light meals, was great for them to grab a few bites.
The hotel is conveniently located near Xinghai Square, and there are amusement facilities downstairs, which was also very handy. The room layout was practical and comfortable for daily living.
One minor point: the room lighting was a bit dim, and the showerhead was a bit old and could use an upgrade. However, both the room service and lobby service were excellent. The view outside the window was really nice! Although the hotel is older, it's very well-maintained and doesn't show its age at all. The comfort level was good, and the breakfast was diverse and plentiful.

They checked in on us via WeChat every day, and since the temperature has been fluctuating lately, they thoughtfully prepared a humidifier and a space heater for us. The hotel offers great overall views, especially the stunning ocean scenery. The Donggang area is generally quite peaceful, with Xinghai Square right downstairs. The hotel boasts full amenities, including a swimming pool and gym that are both spotless and convenient to use. The living environment was comfortable, and everything was clean and hygienic.

GGuest UserHonestly, the rooms themselves were really great. Both rooms had windows directly facing the sea, and each was beautifully decorated. The living room even had a ball pit and a climbing/jumping area for kids, which our child loved. There was also a circular nook where you could sit and watch projections. However, one of the rooms started to smell really bad in the early hours of the morning, like a foul odor. Opening the window didn't help at all.
Regrettably, the whole guesthouse had a dilapidated feel to it. Right from the moment we got out of the car, we noticed the exterior was a bit grubby, and the front desk/lobby felt rather cheap. When we went to check out the beach from the lobby, we found the stairs and terrace looked like they hadn't been maintained in years. The terrace was very basic, with many cigarette butts overflowing in the ashtrays and not cleaned. The spiral staircase I'd seen in photos online for Instagram was also broken and dirty. The beach itself was rocky, a bit smelly, and had some trash. There was also a layer of scum on the sea, like the kind you see when blanching ribs. There were some past campers still around, but honestly, I don't understand how anyone would have the courage to go in the water. In summary, the room design and the sea view from the windows were genuinely good, but there was almost no external amenities or upkeep. It felt neglected and unmaintained, which is a real shame.

GGuest UserI booked late, so I could only get a Quiet Room. The room was very clean, and the bedding was excellent. The front desk service was also good. This hotel has been open for many years. There are private rooms upstairs and a buffet downstairs. It's very close to the beach, and the Tongniu Mountain Scenic Area is right next to it. Overall, it was a great experience.
