I arrived in Dalian just as a typhoon hit, and it was raining all the way from the airport to the hotel. I was feeling a bit down after getting drenched, but when I got to the front desk, the staff upgraded my standard double room to a family room for free. That instantly cheered me up and made my mood much better! The room was huge and even had two bathrooms. Plus, we got to see the fireworks show from Discoveryland across the way both nights, which was totally worth it! 👍🏻 On the first night, a hornet flew into our room, and the staff handled it very promptly. 👍🏻 The hotel is also very close to the beach, so overall it was a very chill stay.

The entire space is tranquil and relaxing, far from the hustle and bustle. Housekeeper Lisa was attentive and thoughtful, responding promptly and with just the right amount of detail and professionalism. Although the hotel facilities are dated, they exude a wonderful castle ambiance. The lobby and the aerial garden in the atrium are perfect for photos. The children had a great time at the kids' club and participated in the hotel's castle adventure activity. It was a truly wonderful stay, filled with joy, and I wholeheartedly recommend it.

I was quite satisfied with this apartment hotel. The location is very convenient, right next to Kaidan Plaza, with direct access to the mall from the fourth floor – perfect for lazy people like me. The space is also larger than the hotel I stayed at in Xinghai, as it has a living room (a one-bedroom, one-living room setup), a kitchen, a washing machine, and a refrigerator, making it ideal for longer stays. I've already recommended it to friends. My only minor issue was not knowing where to dry clothes, as there wasn't a clothesline in the bathroom. Perhaps business was booming, but housekeeping was very slow. On our second day, our room still hadn't been cleaned after 3 PM. After that, we just requested fresh toiletries and skipped the full cleaning since we were only staying two nights anyway. Also, check-out is strictly at 12 PM; they even called us at 11:50 AM to hurry up. It would have been great if we could have extended check-out until 2 PM since our flight was in the evening.

The hotel's exterior is magnificent, like a castle. I booked a sea view room, and the ocean view from the window was beautiful. Even though it's by the sea, the room was surprisingly dry; my swimsuit dried completely within a day. I was a bit anxious after reading reviews about long queues for breakfast, but when I got there, I found that before 8 AM, there's usually no queue. Plus, staff members directly seat you and place a reserved sign, which is a nice touch. In some hotels, even if there's no queue when it's busy, not finding a seat and having to wander around with your plate is even more awkward. Now for the good parts, there are two downsides I hope the hotel can improve. First, the hotel's Chinese restaurant is really expensive, and there's a service charge, but the taste and service were truly underwhelming. I had originally planned to just eat at the hotel every day, but after one meal, I realized it didn't even meet expectations for taste or value for money – it failed on all three counts. Secondly, for a hotel at this price point, charging for a can of Coke and a bottle of juice in the mini-fridge seems unnecessary. Many five-star hotels even offer a full selection of expensive drinks for free, along with complimentary fruit and snacks, but here they charge extra, which comes across as a bit petty.

Had a wonderful experience! The front desk staff, Xiao Jia, helped us upgrade our room and even offered us more options when she saw we had two children with us! We're very grateful! Although many people complain about the twin elevators, to be honest, we had a good experience; they weren't time-consuming at all and were quite efficient. The kids loved it! All the service staff were very friendly and greeted us warmly. We'll definitely recommend this place to friends. One minor suggestion for improvement: the self-service laundry room only open until midnight, which isn't very convenient.

My old parents came from Korea. We - 6 people - wanted to have a great memory during their stay in Dalian. Its location was perfect, sitting at the heart of fishermen s warf, but it was right after rain that things were humid. I should admit that for the peak time and prime location, it is a reasonable price and I blame the wet weather for some smelly environment. Should avoid wet weather. It is already right at the sea. Also, the price is as much as other 5 stars that are not in this location. There are lots of insta spots in and out of the hotel, so it is whether to put yourself at the top location with a bit reasonable price or modernized hotels like Hilton and intercontinental that are farther away and a couple of bucks more expensive.

The Grand Hyatt Dalian boasts an excellent location, right next to Xinghai Square. The sea-view rooms offer expansive views, with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Xinghai Bay and the cross-sea bridge. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the bedding is superb. The staff provides warm and attentive service. The breakfast offers a wide variety of options, and the Grand Club Lounge has a beautiful ambiance. Parking is convenient for those driving, making it an ideal choice for family trips and a top pick for a vacation in Dalian.

Connected to the Hilton, this hotel is relatively quiet as there aren't many guests. Downstairs, you can see the convention center and the old Dalian Port pier. While the price was a bit high during the summer, the room was quite spacious, though the facilities felt a bit dated. It's well-suited for business travelers. The cost of living in Donggang might be a bit higher. For breakfast, I highly recommend going to the Hilton's first floor. There's a wide variety of dishes and the space is much larger. The egg station lady on the 38th floor, however, had an absolutely terrible attitude! Any deductions in service points are solely because of her!!! The pool isn't very child-friendly as there isn't a separate pool for kids.

Particularly loved the room, it was clean and smelt good. However the built-in cabinets were hard to open for some reason they didn’t have any handle to open them easily. Quite a unique place and interior but we did not enjoy breakfast as it was downstairs near the beach area which literally smelt fishy and some flies were entering the cafe. The lounge area did not look well-maintained as well. The staff were very helpful and polite though. So overall it was a wonderful stay because right off the beach area the view was splendid! You could even watch seagulls peacefully at sunrise.

I booked late, so I could only get a Quiet Room. The room was very clean, and the bedding was excellent. The front desk service was also good. This hotel has been open for many years. There are private rooms upstairs and a buffet downstairs. It's very close to the beach, and the Tongniu Mountain Scenic Area is right next to it. Overall, it was a great experience.
