"Very pleasant establishment. Clean room, friendly staff, good food for a dinner takeout and breakfast the next morning. We came in around 8pm from long ride and was greeted with a smile and an offer for takeout dinner from the restaurant on sight when it closed at 9pm. Room was clean, hot shower with good pressure, comfortable beds with warm bedding, good working A/C and a beautiful balcony view, all reasonably priced. Breakfast next morning was friendly, accommodating, fresh and better than a typical hotel included breakfast. Wonderful restaurant atmosphere and design! Would definitely recommend though we r from NY in US. Deb and Mark Weinsheimer"

"The hotel room is not photographed, small but tidy. I stopped cleaning the room during the epidemic. I stayed for four nights and bought a large garbage bag to fill up the garbage, otherwise there would be a peculiar smell. The location is very good, you can walk to the beach, there is no epidemic in Hafa, and you can spend a holiday with peace of mind. One advantage of this hotel is that it has a long shower nozzle that can be taken off. I don’t understand that Canadian hotels rarely have this. They are fixed. It is inconvenient for the elderly and children to wash. Kind."

"We had a very bad experience with this hotel. When we arrived we asked the staff at front desk about car parking and we were told that there was no parking space and we had to go looking for an off street parking ourselves. We had a long time driving and this was the first time to Halifax and everything was new to us. How could we handle this issue? However, the staff seemed it was not a big issue and even not willing to give any more details about off street parking. I couldn't believe this thing happen at such a luxury hotel. We really don't recommend this hotel and will never come back again. Our experience at this hotel was terrible. When arriving to check in, we asked the receptionist at the front desk about parking and we were told there was not enough parking and we needed to find a street parking spot ourselves. We were exhausted from the long drive that day, and it was our first time in Halifax and was completely unfamiliar with everything here. How do we deal with this? However, the staff didn't seem to think it was a big deal, didn't express a single bit of apology, or even bothered to explain more details about on-street parking. We've stayed in many different hotels and we've never had this happen, I can't believe it could happen in such a luxury hotel. There are so many brand hotels in Halifax, why should I book your hotel, is it cheaper? We really do not recommend this hotel and will never come again."

Nice to stay in the historic hotel. As such, the room showed it's age which is not necessarily bad. It had a charm and warmness not found in most modern hotel rooms. The full breakfast was definitely the highlight. It was not advertised as such on the booking site but should be. I was a bit disappointed that the internet was not password protected. I was reluctant to leave my computer on too long for fear of hacking.

Positive: Good location, friendly people, solid service. Negative: Poor treadmil and it was the only one and it didn't work; Not allowing to use terrase with your drink (you need to buy hotel's wine); long waiting to be served specially for dinner. High prise for this level of hotel. No safety deposit box in the room.

Facilities: Very good Hygienic: clean and tidy Environment: Too satisfied 👍, the bed is very comfortable, watching the sea, so beautiful! Service: Very good, the handsome guy at the front desk forgot to ask the name, very thoughtful and careful! I originally booked for two nights, and stayed for 3 nights decisively. The hotel is very close to the violin 🎻 square, more than 10 minutes along the seaside boardwalk.
