Good location being 5-10 minute walk away from the north end of Embarcadero. Free parking. Clean modern rooms with a comfy bed, robes, a patio with fire pit and decent toiletries. There’s no front desk or staff on site usually except for housekeeping in the morning. They’d email/text room number and access code when room is ready for you. Free bottled water, coffee pods, extra towels are available in the public area. Only stayed overnight and it all worked out well.

We had a wonderful stay and a very positive experience overall. Everything was well organized, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the service was excellent. A special mention goes to Andrew at reception. He helped us with a car problem and went above and beyond to assist us. Andrew was extremely friendly, jovial, and genuinely helpful. His positive attitude and willingness to help made a big difference for us and was truly appreciated. Thank you for the great service — and especially to Andrew for the outstanding support!

Conveniently located with walking distance to the Morroy Bay waterfront with stunning view of Morro Rock. Clean, spacious and modern room with great bathroom amenities. Lots of breakfast / dining options nearby and great for a stay for families. Would love to visit again!

From the moment we arrived at the Masterpiece Hotel, we knew we were in for a treat. Our room boasted a stunning view, and it was the perfect backdrop for relaxing after a day of exploring Morro Bay. The customer support was top-notch, with friendly and helpful staff always willing to go the extra mile. Speaking of treats, the breakfast was a delightful surprise. Fresh pastries, yogurt, fruit, and the amazing make-your-own waffle station had us fueled up and ready to take on the day. The waffles were truly a highlight - fluffy, crispy, and customizable with an array of toppings. It was a fun and delicious way to start the morning. Beyond the view, breakfast, and customer service, the overall experience at the Masterpiece Hotel was awesome. The room was clean and comfortable, the public spaces were inviting, and the location was perfect for walking to restaurants, shops, and the beach. We truly felt we were staying in a masterpiece itself! If you're looking for a beautiful and comfortable place to stay in Morro Bay, look no further than the Masterpiece Hotel. The location of the hotel is very good, you can see the beautiful sunrise and the beautiful sunset, the facilities in the room are also very good, so that we can have a good rest in the hotel during the trip, have the opportunity to live in 😋

Overall, a positive experience. The room was new and very modern. Unfortunately, it was a bit noisy, but this didn't bother us too much personally. Service varied greatly depending on the staff member, ranging from super friendly and helpful (the lady on the early shift) to complete refusal to work (the employee on the late shift who refused to cancel an accidental double booking and offered various excuses). Breakfast was very good and plentiful. I would book the motel again, but I wouldn't take a room on the ground floor (less privacy).

Quiet, a good town, you can see and hear seals near the beach, you can also make an appointment to go to the sea to watch whales, overall it is still very good, the lack of breakfast, the price is not cheap.

Breakfast is very good, with children staying in the twin room, there is free parking, the surrounding environment is very good, suitable for living, just some distance from the attractions, no problem driving

Beautifully renovated inn with laid back charm and nice decor. The bathroom needs some upkeep, but overall a nice place to stay for a long weekend. Sound insulation can be a bit poor. Main lobby and reception is modern, large with view over the lagoon and the Morro rock.

We only stayed for one night, but the person who checked us in and out was super nice and friendly. We also had accidentally left our watch behind in the room after our check-out and when we went back to pick it up, they had it for us at the front desk. The rooms themselves were nice. They had only given us one towel though, when the room was booked for two adults. Small detail. The floor was a bit dirty, as when I tried walking barefoot after a shower or in between changing, my feet would pick up dirt. Cleanliness could have been improved. Beds were spring, so they made a bit of noise when you move around on them. And the walls were quite thin, so it was easy to hear folks outside our room. Otherwise, it was a pleasant stay for one night for a really cheap rate.
